There's recipes for snake oil. I personally prefer "trace mineral's guava flavored power pak" as it only has one gram sugar and by far the best variety of essential minerals with the least amount of b vitamins added that I've seen on the market. Some people complain about the 1g sugar but that's only 4 calories and if that spikes your insulin than something is seriously wrong with you lol better than zero cal monsters while fasting haha

Don't spend a lot of money. Most of those keto marketed mineral supplements are crap and you can just make your own. Some people drink pickle juice because they like it, etc. They're not critical the first few days unless you drank a lot of alcohol the days before fasting, but they do make the fast way more lovely. Just don't overdue them because you'll have Niagara falls shits.

The other flavors have more sugar than this one.

I throw a few packets of Trace Minerals’ Power Pak into my backpack and have never had them taken away by security. One time an inspector looked at them and I told them it was vitamins and they didnt give me any problems.

FWIW, they're available on amazon here and here, and they've been used in clinical studies: this (an old study but compared the different forms and found little difference), this, this, this, and this from Googling and PubMeding.

I bought one of these and love it: https://myequa.com/ The cap is tritan (plastic), but the bottle is borosilicate glass. They have metal lid versions too. I bought one with a felt cover to reduce breaks and keep tea hot.

I also can't believe no one sings the praises of Trace Minerals Drops:https://www.amazon.com/Trace-Minerals-Bundle-ConcenTrace-Mineral/dp/B06XXP4Z92/ref=sr_1_fkmrnull_3?keywords=trace+minerals+drops&qid=1554883852&s=gateway&sr=8-3-fkmrnull

It makes tap water taste like Evian (my personal fav). Just a few drops is needed, that bottle is expensive but lasts forever.

Well at least there's no penalty for making fun. Probably not much luck in swaying anyone who is a fan of that nut job site. May as well have some fun and try to profit though by feeding the stupid. The same page claims that baking soda is a treatment for the flu. Setup an Amazon associates account and then link to some overpriced "natural cures" using your affiliate link. You might get paid.

I thought you were joking, since "Orbitally Rearranged Gold in a High Spin State" is a nonsensical string of scientific-sounding words.

Unfortunately, this seems to be a real scam actually being perpetrated on foolish people. I suppose I shouldn't really be surprised, there doesn't seem to be anything too ridiculous for people to believe it.

Hmm okay.

I don't want build up in my machine though. I know it's weird, but..

I have a really great tasting mineral blend I use with water. I've tried adding it into a brewed cup and it does make it taste better. I wonder though, if it is the same to add the minerals after brewing or if they need to be in the water during the brewing process?

Also the coffee did taste very good using aeropress and reverse osmosis water.

I've done natural T boosters and can share some thoughts. I don't feel that they raised my T, but I didn't get labs to compare. However, I do think they gave me energy when taken before training. I've tried Test Booster 1.0 and Nugenix. The Test Booster was the more affordable and has 1,500 mg per serving and the premium priced Nugenix has 3,000 mg per serving. Both kind of felt the same in the end: more energy throughout the day.

Eventually I made vitamins and minerals my main concern and I feel I've been having ore success with that. Now, I take 1x DHEA on an empty stomach before breakfast. Eat, then take 2x D3 (https://www.amazon.com/Life-Extension-Vitamin-5000-Softgels/dp/B000GTFOBA/) and 1x Trace Minerals (https://www.amazon.com/Life-Extension-Minerals-vegetarian-capsules/dp/B005MJTUEG/). The Trace Minerals has boron, zinc, magnesium, chromium, etc. All things associated with T. With lunch I take 2 Life Force Multiple (https://www.amazon.com/Source-Naturals-Multiple-Activator-Capsules/dp/B000GFPD0G/). Then 2 more with dinner. That's been my natural T boosting regimen as of late. Hope that isn't too tangential.

Doctor's Best multivitamin

It has the best form of everything (no synthetics) at a reasonable price, but you might need to limit methyl b12's depending on your VDR taq status. Check this out for more: http://methyl-nation.com/comt-vdr-taq-the-mutation-series/.

Taking one of these multis a day (says to take 3) hasn't given me any overmethylating symptoms so far. Each capsule has way more of everything compared to your average multi, so 1 should be good to shore up an otherwise healthy diet avoiding folic acid wherever you can.

Here's another idea I've been toying with and might try myself, in case you can't tolerate any methyl b12: make your own "multi" stack with minerals and a b complex, adding L-methylfolate (only need half of these) and hydroxy/adenenosyl b12 seperately if you want those. This leaves A/C/D/E/K which I believe can be pretty much covered in a healthy diet and supplemented cheaply (D+C). If you have GSTP1 mutation, you should be avoiding supplemental E.

That B complex has the best forms of the other B's and leaves out Folic Acid and B12 for us. There's another, cheaper brand on amazon without Folic Acid but it has cyano b12. I'm not sure why cyano b12 is so bad to be honest - everything I read on the net about it is kind of vague/woo-woo, but I'm erring on the side of caution anyway (at a cost to the wallet!). Perhaps you can enlighten me?

Hope this was helpful, good luck.

edit: found this on knowyourgenetics.com

>Cyano B12 contains a cyanide molecule. So when you take cyano B12 your body must first turn
it into hydroxy B12 in order to use it, and then must find a way to get rid of the toxic cyanide
molecule. We all know cyanide is a poison even if the rest of the B12 molecule is good for you.
The body actually uses hydroxy B12 in order to detoxify cyanide. So, not only is cyano B12 not
the form your body ultimately needs, but taking higher doses of cyano B12 may actually deplete
your hydroxy B12. So why would anyone use cyano B12 if it can be toxic? Well, in low doses it
may be helpful for the eyes, but for the most part cyano B12 is used because it is much less
expensive, and a form of B12 that is easier to keep stable.

Alright so honestly it sounds like as long as you get hydroxy, a little bit of cyano isn't a big deal (cyanide fears are majorly overblown reportedly). With that said I'm going to probably go with this B complex that's a much better value & low in cyano b12.

That's so odd! I didn't get such benefits. Do you still take Shilajit? If not, have the effects stuck around?

I took this brand for a month only. Energy and libido, yeah maybe slightly? However, not much help on ED + PE side of things.

MSM, oddly, has helped a lot with ED + PE. Though only time will tell as I'm still in the first 3 weeks period and usually benefits like this don't stick around.

I got the single pack of this: Trace Minerals Liquid Ionic Boron, 6mg, 2 oz (Pack of 2) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0191XM5WW/ . Someone recommended it to me on another thread—said it way upped the effect of the magnesium.

TL;DR: Try adding niacin and lithium orotate, and look into tDCS or even TMS.

I can relate to what you're going through. I've been on Wellbutrin (300mg/daily) for the past 9 years, and I know it helps raise the lower floor of my depression. (I know this because, at the end of a 6-month hiatus to see if it was having any effect, I was worse than my worst days 20 years ago.) But it doesn't seem to do a whole lot more than that for me. I'm also on Vyvanse (40mg) for ADD, which it seems to help, but even though its a stimulant, it doesn't have much of a stimulatory effect on me. (This was true on a prescription for Adderall, as well; often were the times I'd take an Adderal with my morning vitamins and Wellbutrin and just go back to sleep for a few more hours.).

In addition to Wellbutrin and Vyvanse, here's what I've done or am doing that has helped incrementally with each addition. Your mileage may vary:

  • B12 (10,000mcg sublingual)
  • Caffeine (200mg in morning and afternoon)
  • Garden of Life Mood+ Probiotics
  • Phenibut (750mg, followed by 500mg 4-8 hours later)^1
  • Niacin (500mg 4x/day)^2
  • Lithium Orotate (5mg/day)^3
  • tDCS: DLPFC F3+ and Supra Orbital Fp2- at 2mA for 20 min^4

^1 Phenibut: only on days when the barometer is dropping appreciably below mean sea-level atmospheric pressure. I'm serious.

^2 Niacin: I learned of this one in this subreddit, I think. I titrated up to 2,000mg/day over the course of a week, and I try to take it with food in my stomach. But it has to be the regular niacin that causes the flushing the first week or so until your body is used to it, not the "extended release" or "no-flush" varieties.

^3 I only recently learned this is available as a mineral supplement. Anecdotally, 5mg is about what you get from lithium occurring naturally in some well-water supplies. My psychiatrist said 5mg isn't even one percent of the amount they give people to stabilize them in a clinical setting, but he also said I was welcome to try it if I wanted. I've only been on this for a week and a half and it may only be helping me sleep, but at least that.

^4 Transcranial Direct Current Stimulation: Did my research, including lurking on /r/tDCS, ended up getting that SSD model I linked to above. My psychiatrist wants me to look into whether Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) would be covered by my insurance (for example, from one of these places), and I said I would, but I first wanted to try this lower-cost, easier-to-implement method of tDCS -- since they are related therapies and target the same neuron areas of the brain, basically. He told me to go ahead and give it a try.

I have to say the last week, with the lithium and the tDCS, has felt mostly different for me. I think it's everything on the list, cumulatively, probably, but it feels especially like it could be the tDCS making the bigger difference, which I've only been doing for a week now. The device could be little more than a "Placebometer 3000," but I know that I tried a lower amperage (1mA) on Sunday and then tried a different montage (placement of electrodes) on Monday, and neither one seemed to be as effective, but today, returning to the initial one I listed above, I feel back on track.

Gatorade used to be the best cure. Now it has no electrolytes and is literally just sugar water. Sugar is the last thing you want for your hangover so might as well just skip it and drink water. Or a electrolyte drink that actually has electrolytes, like pedialyte, or get some of these fizzy packs from trace minerals to mix with water.
