14 dollars boi
Yup. Tape them up in all those amazon boxes you've been hoarding. My family actually does this a lot. Life pro tip: If you want a little less effort than boxes, Amazon also sells delivery bags that you can just load up your junk in and leave outside for people to take.
Edit: didn't realize a /s was needed. People replying without even clicking the link.
I am going to disagree right off the bat with Inasaba. Without trashcan liners there are multiple risks for littering garbage into the environment. First, when the trash cans are being dumped into the truck, and second, more importantly, when the truck is being dumped into the landfill. I've toured one of the landfill and recycling centers near Austin, and the amount of small trash pieces getting picked up and blown around/away even just from bags that ripped was pretty incredible, and the workers there said that that was one of their bigger challenges. Plus, as you said, it makes the bathroom trash and the bathroom cleaning process much less sanitary, especially if you have bodily fluids going into the trash can like tissue, tampons, band-aids, etc.
I think what is a much better solution is to look for trash bags that are made from recycled plastic, like these or these. It is important for us, as consumers, to indicate to large companies that we value sustainability by putting our money where our mouth is. When more customers buy those types of products and the big-name manufacturing companies like Unilevel and Proctor & Gamble see their "green" products doing well, they invest more into growing those product lines, which helps bring the cost down so that more and more people can afford them.
I think there is also obviously the common-sense approach to this. Recycle as much as you can, but don't sacrifice sanitation in the name of questionable, very small, potential sustainability improvements. There are much more effective ways to be sustainable.
Here you go small, quality 2.6 gallon bags for about $.08. Your situation is the exception, not the rule. Keeping mass production of small bags for your obscure needs is not a good idea, the vast majority produce way more of these bags than we need (I have a handy dispenser and do reuse the bags but would be happy to see them gone altogether.
I've seen people use a special case for that telescope. The trash can.
No. Seriously, here is an amazon link for a nice bag https://www.amazon.com/dp/B013H12DLM/
I used to pick up those 99 cent disposable ponchos from the check out lane and toss them in my glove box or back pack for emergencies. They're not worth the 99 cents.
I'd rather get a box of 32 contractor trash bags (4mil, 42 gallon).
I can make rain gear out of one, use it to collect water, use a couple around a sleeping bag to water proof it in the snow...
But to be honest, that's just for a beginner. Over time you want to replace all your cheap starter stuff with quality products. Now I've got a set of Frog Toggs that cost me $20.
Weighs 2 pounds, rolls up tightly and I can tuck it into my pack and forget about it until needed.
I'm still looking for something better, but this has gotten me through the last winter, so worth the price. I'm open to suggestions for better.
In the PNW you gotta have decent wet weather gear.
I found this one on Amazon in the US: https://www.amazon.com/BagMouth-pack-Keeps-Large-Trash/dp/B00BPBJF1S
Here is another: https://www.amazon.com/Bagrite-Trash-Holder-Gallon-Plastic/dp/B00UXPGK8I/ref=asc_df_B00UXPGK8I/?tag=hyprod-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=311058902065&hvpos=1o1&hvnetw=g&hvrand=15215548424918710460&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9019429&hvtargid=pla-597035048394&psc=1
I don't think it has a specific name in English. I call it "a plastic or metal hoop for keeping a trash bag open."
Litter Bot III They now have a wifi connected version ($50+) that will notify you when the waste bin is full. Ideal if you hide the litter box and don't see the indicator lights regularly. I need to write a review, can't say enough good things about this unit.
Generic Plastic Bags from Amazon. I really want to get biodegradable next time around. No reason to use plastic.
I hope you feel better soon! HG sucks!
I actually buy these because they don't smell like ass after a week.

You're overthinking this a bit, mostly anything you buy would be fine.
Here's a good looking one from Amazon (mine are our out of stock)- https://www.amazon.com/Hefty-Recycling-Trash-Drawstring-Gallon/dp/B01MQGTPC2/ref=sr_1_2?s=hpc&ie=UTF8&qid=1502750114&sr=1-2-spons&keywords=recycling%2Bbags&th=1
Those tend to be the higher nights of making money, so that is a good start. If you do decide to go forward, I highly advise you to get barf bags for $12, which I'm still on my first set a year and a half later in case the PAX can't hold in and they puke. You will really know when to grab one or have one handy if you notice someone isn't going to make it. I also put them where I can quickly grab them. Such on the back side of the passenger front seat (as long as it's not visible).
Stores give you this type of super-thin, flimsy plastic bag. They come apart with the slightest of damage. Because they're so flimsy, stores usually double-bag unless you're buying something small where the bag will hold.
What I assume the parent and others are buying is something like Hefty trash bags or similar. They're thicker and relatively durable, and if you use them for recycling or non-goopy trash (e.g. my bathroom trash is typically just paper towels, contact lens containers and so on), they can be emptied and reused.
The problem with the supermarket bags is that they're essentially not reusable. Most of them don't even qualify as trash bin liners. (I come from Europe, where plastic bags are much more durable and can be used dozens of times, or as good trash bin liners.) If you can reuse a bag, that's obviously much better for the environment.
The most environmentally friendly shopping bag is one that can be washed and is durable enough to last many years, and preferably made of a natural fabric, not some polyester-type material.
Well, I believe the best nerdy merchandize is functional. I was gonna suggest the Wampa rug, but I saw that was already suggested. So how about this awesome R2D2 trash can instead? There's a much cheaper alternative to this one as a pop-up storage bin that can be used as a trash can or laundry hamper.
I found something on my household items wishlist that's star wars related for under $10, which reminds me, I also suggest this one for your collection too lol
May the force be with you
It will cut down on plastic used since since the vast majority of those plastic grocery bags were not used that way and just discarded.

I also am really passionate about nature and the environment! It's what I hope to have a career based in someday.
My product is eco-friendly trashbags to use in my dormroom! I feel like my roommate and I produce so much trash, and at least knowing that the stuff I can't recycle is being thrown away in recycled bags would ease my mind a bit.
>If little Elliot happens to have a little accident in a spa, what's the best course of action?
Spa water is usually too hot for small kids. Men and women use separate baths or the same bath at different times. Take turns and one of you watches the 宝宝. They'll likely provide a baby tub in your room. If you booked a private ♨️ with your room, you can probably fill and empty it by yourself/adjust temperature, so clean up any mess by yourself or bring swimming diapers.
Get these for diapers and other trash.
So those blue / clear "recycling bags":

are NOT cool to use? Asking for a friend...

You can make your own repellent spray from mint, cedar, Cayenne pepper, ammonia. If you can get the raw ingredients, mix them all in a jar filled with ammonia and let that marry for a few weeks, then put some in a a squirt bottle with water, say 10:1 ratio. Otherwise, you can buy extracts and go right to the squirt bottle.
You could just use tomcat bags.
I've used both and have had a life long battle vs. critters. Black bears are babies.. Critters are the real problem.
