I wanted immediately until I saw the reviews...ouch.

You can, and I believe that's what that is. I think he or the Verge once covered it or something. Looking quickly on Google, I found this Ideaco Tubelor Trashcan, Black https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0018NRM9U/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_ibDHzb34NBF7E

I know everyone's process is different, but I use small trash cans, like this, from Walmart. For triming or measuring, just fill one can with shells, do your thing, and throw it in the other can. I usually have a "to small", "good", and "needs to be trimmed more" can. This works well while watching a movie I've already seen.

On the press, dump a few hundred rounds into some Tupperware or bread pans (wife was not pleased, buy your own), and a trash can under the press. I just push each round out of the press with my fingers and it falls down into the can. I have plastic drawers that I label and throw unfinished ammo into if I need to stop mid point.

I've been tempted to make a net mounted to my bench so it's quieter (bench is in my bedroom, live in a condo).

Are these cloth diapers or disposable? What is the current capacity for reference?

Either way, I would go with a plastic step bin. Hard plastic is easy to periodically clean and disinfect, even if it isn't as pretty. Plus, you can usually attach a charcoal filter to the inside of the lid, especially with higher end models or separately if you buy an attachable sleeve that sticks to the inside of the lid. This can help mitigate any lingering smells. If you want something study, simplehuman makes plain ol' 13 gallon step cans, and it will last a lifetime because the parts are replaceable.

Lower end, I recommend the sterilite and Rubbermaid cans in the same half-round shape. They are usually offered as a step can or a touch top (basically a step button you push at the lid), so you can determine what is best for him to use.

Rubbermaid Touch-Top Lid Trash Can for Home, Kitchen, and Bathroom Garbage, 13 Gallon, White

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00KX15Z1A/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_n9cEDbYY82KWN

If disposable, you can get any size you are comfortable lifting the contents of (9 - 13 gallon, but I wouldn't go higher than that because wet things get heavy and repetitive motions are dangerous with adult care) and just use the right size plastic bag.

If you are talking cloth, there are pul liners which perfectly fit a sterilite 6 gallon step can, maybe other sizes too (edit: that can be washed with the diapers). However, they aren't always leak proof so ymmv, especially the larger you go. Let me know if you want recommendations for them. Best of luck!

u/bossbrew · 7 pointsr/shorthairedhotties

Totally. I just purchased the same one for myself, the simplehuman Mini Round Step Trash Can. It ended up being smaller than I imagined but it looks great and doesn't take up a lot of space in my bathroom. I've had a larger trash can from simplehuman in my Kitchen and Bedroom for years and they are holding up perfectly. Not the cheapest trash cans you can buy but they are pleasing to look at.

For a number of years, I got by in my apartment with a few trash cans that use grocery bags as liners. I never wanted anything larger in the apartment because it would be more prone to getting old enough to smell and buying liners to throw trash away seemed like a logical failure. It was only about a half year after the bag ban was enacted that I actually bought trash bags in Seattle. Thanks City Council.

You can build one yourself for MUCH cheaper, but this is the basic idea. Basically a screen in a frame and a collection chamber. Take the trim and jostle it around over the screen so all the trich heads fall off and go through the screen, while the plant matter stays in the top part.

Personally I think bubble hash or BHO is a better idea, or even QWISO, but if you want actual keif as opposed to hash, dry sifting is the way to go.

u/-justkeepswimming- · 5 pointsr/Pets

My cat is the same way, except with plastic. Also had intussusception and had expensive surgery. This is how I deal with it.

(1) Any plastic bags are discarded outside in the garbage immediately. If I need to keep some, they are stored in a high, out of the way place.

(2) I got a kitchen trash can with a lockable lid.

(3) My litter box is not near a bathroom, so I use the litter genie for waste disposal.

(4) Anything my cat might chew on is stored in a closet. The closet is always kept shut.

I know it's a pain in the butt, but I'm not going through another USD2,000 surgery again. I keep him on catnip and I've bought him interactive toys that don't contain plastic he might eat.

Edit cuz spelling.

u/AVACADOFISTFUCK · 5 pointsr/aww

My dogs did the same thing. Then I bought this garbage can. It has a little latch on it to prevent them from opening it up.

u/bludart · 4 pointsr/TheGirlSurvivalGuide

To expand on this point, a step trashcan in your bathroom. Discretely dispose of feminine supplies so they're not obvious. Also essential if you ever have small children or dogs visit. I'm rather fond of this one

u/gummy_bear_time · 4 pointsr/GiftIdeas

First thing that came to mind was the MiiR water bottle - Each purchase comes with a tracking number (printed on a small silver medallion) so you can see how your contribution is helping fund a charitable project. I think mine helped fund a clean water facility in Africa.

I also like shopping at Ten Thousand Villages and related fair trade stores. At least when I purchase in-store, they usually give me a printout that details the origin of the product I bought.

There are also lots of ways for individuals to help the environment.

I have this one. It's not stainless steel, but it's durable as all hell and it keeps my fuzzy trash gremlins from eating garbage. I've gone through a lot of cheaper trash cans, but I anticipate having this one for many years.

u/DenialGene · 4 pointsr/Seattle

I use this: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00AMNCYNQ?keywords=steel%20compost%20bin&qid=1451941306&ref_=sr_1_1&sr=8-1

No bags, and I don't run it through the dishwasher every time I empty. I'll clean it out maybe once every couple months when it gets particularly fragrant, other than that, I just empty it and put the lid back on.

u/my_flipside · 3 pointsr/ABDL

I just use a regular trash can with a lid. I chose the 11-gallon (well, 10.6) because 13-gallon kitchen trash bags still fit in it just fine, but if a 13-gallon one is full of wet diapers, I have trouble carrying it, but I definitely wanted something larger than a 7-gallon bathroom trash can. Honestly, I don't notice much difference between the trash can and the 13-gallon one in our kitchen.

I also keep my bedroom window open, weather permitting, and spray Febreeze near the trash can if I notice an odor, even if I'm only noticing the odor when I open the trash can to dispose of a freshly removed diaper. In the warmer months, when odors seem to be exacerbated, I also put the wet diapers in super small trash bags and tie them closed. The bags aren't really large enough for a diaper I've been wearing 8 hours, but with the diaper rolled up, and the more open end facing inside the bag, they do well enough. I almost never notice an odor and I definitely was when I was just keeping them in a trash bag that was twisted close.

That said, I'm urinary incontinent and only using diapers for urinating in them. If you're using your diaper for more than that, what I'm doing may not be enough for you.

u/twanky · 3 pointsr/LifeProTips

Or buy a trash can that hold both. I bought one off amazon to simply reduce space but it has also greatly increased the amount I recycle. Fuck me, next time people take the piss out of Jordan Peter's 12 Rules for Life as being elementary or obvious; just remember this post.

Not having a go OP - we've all been there. But self care is very important for your overall well-being.

I tell you what is a big help once you've actually got this shit tidied.

Every day, just have "Five Minute Tidy Up Time" - just a little reminder on your phone (I like an app called Habits to help keep track).

Tell yourself you'll just do 5 minutes a day - even choose a song you play, and just tidy up while that is on.

When it's done, you can return to whatever important business you were doing.

Presumably this has been like this for weeks or forever - so slowly doing a little bit each day over the next week or to may seem weak to some, but it will get done, and actually get that habit started.

And make sure you have a storage space for everything.

A couple of those plastic boxes with lids are always useful, especially for that fucking foam shite. (I see you have one already, get more).

Get a proper rubbish bin.

Get a proper clothes basket.

You have empty shelves and books on the floor.

That can be your starting point.

Take the rubbish out.

Order them things off Amazon NOW. Fucking, don't tell yourself you'll get them cheaper next time you go tot he shops, just do it now.

u/xg220 · 3 pointsr/dogs

Easy solution to trash digging is to simply get a locking trashcan or put the trashcan in a place the dog cannot access.

From the way the dog acts it sounds like he isn't getting nearly enough exercise and or mental stimulation. Just because you have a big yard doesn't mean you don't have to exercise your dog. Especially if you just let him out and expect him to "play with himself". I have a fairly nice sized fully fenced yard and my GSD still gets 3 walks a day plus interactive playtime with me about once a day.

If your dog isn't interested in tug, fetch or frisbee, then the next step would be to run your dog. If you aren't in the best physical shape then what you can do is buy a cheap bike and purchase a Walky, run him for even just 20-30 minutes hard and I guarantee you his unruly behavior will decrease. I will note though, since he's a large breed dog I would wait at least until he's 12-15 months old to start doing this, as you can damage his joints by exercising him too hard before his joints have fused. Also get a kong, you can keep him occupied for at least 45min-1hr by putting peanut butter in it, freezing it, and then giving it to him.

I'd also recommend crate training him so that if you don't want him around guests you can crate him and you know he's safe. You can also crate him when nobody is home to guarantee your property and your dog's safety. Another thing you can do is buy a tie out and put it in the middle of the yard so he can't smash and paw on the door.

I'd definitely second getting a trainer to help you with his behavior in general though, it sounds like you aren't communicating with him in a way that clicks with him (remember, every individual will respond differently to different training methods), a seasoned trainer with lots of experience will probably be able to teach how to
communicate with him in a way that let's you communicate what you want him to do.

Lastly, you need to be patient with him, the Akita is a breed known for being very stubborn and hard to train, so you have to remember to manage your expectations. Just be consistent with what the trainer tells you to do and you will see results.

I found a trash can in the kitchen with a lid can help reduce odors a lot. I used one like this. Large enough that you don't have to take the trash out all the time. Small enough that the trash doesn't start stinking. And a lid to keep the odors down.

u/Kozinskey · 2 pointsr/BabyBumps

First of all, I want to say I'm sorry you're dealing with this. This must be so frustrating and hard for you & your family. I do think there are times when a dog needs to be rehomed, and I wouldn't judge you for doing that if you & your family decide that's best for everyone. Biting people is unacceptable behavior, especially with little kids around.

That said, there are two things that come to mind as ideas for you. When our dogs started getting into the trash, we bought a locking trash can like this one for the kitchen, and kept the doors to other rooms with trash cans shut. Immediate improvement there.

Without seeing how you interact with your dog, it's hard to tell what's going on in terms of discipline, but I'm not sure "ignore her behavior & not scold" is a good solution. Have you brought in a dog trainer for an in-home consultation? Classes are one thing, but I wonder if having a trainer observe you guys might give you some more insight in what's going on.

Good luck and my sympathy to you guys =(

edit: also, looks like r/dogtraining exists and might be helpful to you too....

u/f34rinc · 2 pointsr/BackYardChickens

I used .5 inch 19 gauge hardware cloth on my entire run. Original concern was protection from larger predators but had to make some adjustments once rats started eating my feed.

  • Seal gaps, cracks, holes in your wire. If you can put your thumb into the opening rat/mouse can squeeze into it.
  • Use strips of aluminum to prevent rats from going above/under doorways
  • Until you can get the rat problem under control remove the feeder at night or restrict access to it by placing it in a small metal container
  • It took 4 blocks of just one bite to get rid of the rats.

Well, I think this is the one I got. If it's not, it's very close. There may be better ones, but this one works pretty well.

The lid fits pretty tight, enough to smother any fire. Also enough that you have to hold the bottom when taking off the top. :-)

u/GlutenFreeEwokMeat · 2 pointsr/dogs

We use a SimpleHuman trashcan that seems to work for us. It sits between our kitchen counter and our fridge, but I don't think it would be toppled. I know our littler dog won't get into it no matter how good it smells.

We have a Beagle and Sheltie. The Beagle is more interested in the trash than his brother Sheltie.

This (non affiliate link) is the general style that we have. I'm not sure that ours was this expensive when we got it a few years ago. It may not be the exact size. We use 13 gallon bags in it. Very convenient to just step on the pedal and the lid opens up. There's a plastic liner that you pull out and put the bag in.

fear cuts deeper than words

Edit #1 - Replaced #1 #2, #9, #13, #15, edited some text, added bonuses

Okay, so a lot of my items are similar, or are kind of "flexing" the rules, but I will leave official rulings up to you. Here goes!

  1. Something Grey - Strip of magnesium - This actually just got gifted to me. This coal trash can is silver, which is basically grey :D

2)Something reminiscent of rain - Zen Garden - Flexing the rules. It's only related because it's a garden. An umbrella!! I don't have one of these, and I have no idea why.

  2. Food related - Pineapple corer/slicer

  3. On wishlist not for me (this is for my fiancee) - Apple Cider k-cups

  4. A book you should read - Everyone should have the Joy of Cooking

    6)Item less than a dollar - MP3

  5. Something related to cats - This is related because of that scene in "Christmas Vacation" where the cat gets electrocuted

  6. [Beautiful but not useful - Lego adoption of Brandenburg Gate](
    http://www.amazon.com/LEGO%C2%AE-Architecture-Brandenburg-Gate-21011/dp/B0050R0V3O/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pC_nS_nC?ie=UTF8&colid=E9RD1GO4V1KF&coliid=I22USNN7FC4LVL)

  7. Movie everyone should see once - Not on wishlist - Harlan County, USA. This documentary is nearly perfect in every sense of the word. This movie is so powerful, and so real, it's just unbelievable. One of my favorites. I always suggest it when someone asks "what documentary should I see?"

  8. Something useful when Zombies attack - Kinect Your Shape Fitness Evolved - You need to be able to Outwit, Outrun, and Outlast.

  9. Profound impact on life - Guitar. I really want to learn how to play, and my dad was going to teach me, but he passed before he was able to. It would mean a lot to share that passion with him even though he's already moved on

  10. Add-On Item - Cat6 cable!!!

  11. Most expensive item -It's actually the guitar, so I went with the 2nd most expensive which is a Logitech G19 keyboard Nope. It's actually this amp.

  12. Bigger than a bread box - Mizuno backpack

  13. Smaller than a golf ball - Not sure if a k-cup would count, but I threw it in there. If it doesn't count, I will find something else It doesn't. Here's some ship and anchor cufflinks I really want for my wedding :)

  14. Something that smells wonderful - Kind of cheating, but a different k-cup. Donut shop coffee is the BEST. Changed to a different beverage. I have a horrible addiction to this stuff, and it smells wonderful (to me)

  15. SFW Toy - Legos are a toy!! :D

  16. Helpful going back to school - I listed the Zen Garden again because it's helpful to have something peaceful when going back to school

  17. Something related to your current obsession - I am OBSESSED with Lorde. I have stated this many times over the last week.

  18. Something amazing/awe inspiring - SERIOUSLY. LOOK AT THIS FUCKING CHAIR. THIS MOTHERFUCKER RIGHT HERE? THIS SHIT FOLDS UP SO YOU CAN CARRY IT. NOT GOOD ENOUGH? SHIT, SON. THIS BITCH HAS TWO ARMRESTS FOR YOUR LAZY ASS. STILL BITCHING? GUESS WHAT DICKLIPS, THIS BITCH HAS TWO CAN HOLDERS AND A FUCKING COOLER. YOU DON'T EVEN NEED TO GET YOUR BITCH ASS UP TO GET A DRINK, BAM, YOU ALREADY GOT ONE. IT EVEN HAS A POUCH TO HOLD YOUR OTHER SHIT, IF ALL OF THIS ISN'T GOOD ENOUGH. YOU NEED TO HAVE THIS CHAIR.

BONUS #1 - I looked through your reddit history (not very hard, but I did look), and came up empty, so I'll just post something later that might fit.

BONUS #2 - These blankets are made in Oregon, and look SUPER cool. Not on my WL (I have more than enough blankets), but I really like them.

I may attempt the bonuses tomorrow, we will see. This is definitely a placeholder until rulings on some items are made. Fix'd :D

I have a Rubbermaid Commercial 4.75 gallon food tote (actually several that I bought lightly used on Amazon). It works well for large cooks, and since I have a pretty big family, I tend to do a lot of big cooks. I also have the smaller 12 qt container (a word of caution - get the clear one, not white). It also works well, and fits the Anova perfectly.

Best thing to do in these situations if she has access to items like the trash when you are not around is prevention - get a high quality, sturdy, LOCKING trash can (Example) or remove it from her access (put it in the garage, in a different room with a closed door, use gates, or put it in a cabinet). You can also make a habit of emptying the trash when you leave every day (if it is a problem of them getting into it when you leave for work - but it sounds like this was more of a 'we are home and she snuck off and got into the garbage' scenario).

Throwing away harmful trash directly in the curbside bin is a good idea and keep working on 'leave it' and redirection. Unfortunately, she now knows she CAN get into the trash if no one is looking and there are awesome things in there, so it may be more prudent just to remove access all together.

Use a combination of 'leave it' and preventing the behavior from being reinforcing (the trash is always empty or locked so she can never get any 'treats'/rewards from it) will should eventually cause the behavior to extinguish, but it only takes one time for her to figure out how to open the trash for it to be wildly reinforcing again.

TL;DR: You are right, remove the trashcan.

u/PurelyNicole · 1 pointr/smarthome

If it helps, these are the ones I have. They work with the Glad kitchen bags well. Maybe you can steer her towards one of these which may be more useful?

Kitchen: This is the one we've had for 9 years. It's awesome because the liner drops in, and has this little hole in the back to tuck extra bag in. That was the feature my husband used to talk me into buying one. Because I thought it was stupid expensive, and would be annoying to buy special bags.

Laundry room: While you can see the liner, it pulls very tight so it doesn't look messy.

u/Capolan · 1 pointr/shutupandtakemymoney

I have a much larger, better quality version of this and though it was expensive, it's awesome. NO SMELLS, no touching, it's great.

my problem when i was trying to find one of these is that the cans are always really small. I found this one, 21 gallons.

I did 1 "permanent" heavy duty bag that is taped into the can, and then I change the other bag (this keeps the can itself clean in case of breakage)

It's pricey but I love it. The stickers on the front easily peel off if they aren't to your taste. It's big enough to fit the large trash bags and the bags tuck under a removable ring so they don't sink to the bottom of the can. Also makes it super easy for recycling as it's separated from the regular waste. It does an awesome job keeping stinky smells inside. If you can get over the large footprint and price tag, I'd definitely recommend it. I'll never go back to my standard trash can that was full after throwing away one or two milk jugs.

I use this trash can, keeps my 60lb black lab out of the trash. Just have to remember to lock it when you aren't home.

I like a transparent acrylic bath. It lets you see at a glance what's going on (no floating, leaks, or bunching up). As long as everything's totally clean, it's attractive on the counter (my earlier stockpot setup looked more like a science experiment or homebrew).

I use the 5 gallon Rubbermaid polycarbonate, with the matching lid, and a cutout for the circulator. This is an ideal size, as it's close to the max capacity for the Anova.

u/DesolationRobot · 1 pointr/woodworking

I have the HF dust collector mounted directly to a custom lid for a wheeled 32 gallon garbage can. The lid is essentially a diy version of this. It works okay. Long time between emptying, which is nice for the planer. Bad separation, which is bad for saws and sanders (all the fine stuff pretty much goes straight to the filter bag, which then goes pretty much straight into the air). I spend more time than I would like wearing a respirator while my DC is going. I need to make the lid a more complete Thien baffle and upgrade the bag.

u/dstam · 1 pointr/clothdiaps

I have a Simple Human with a locking lid and a foot pedal that would make a good CD bin. The Planet Wise liner we use would def fit it. We use it for our actual trash, I love it. We just have a generic white trash bin for our diapers, it works fine.

This is the one we have

I have a similar one, same brand, as seen here and it's held up well to a very determined dog.

Two minor downsides: since the top of the liner bags have to pull down over the outside of the bin, they are practically begging (ha) to be pulled on and torn up. The lid fits snugly enough that the trash stays inside, but the liners get partially tugged out and mysterious shreds of white plastic appear all over the house.

The other downside is that since the bin I have is plastic vs stainless steel, that same determined dog may chew on the corners in a fruitless attempt to destroy the can in its entirety. The plastic is thick enough that I'm not worried about it being shredded or even warped, but it can be a little unsightly to have tooth marks all over the lid.

Mine has lasted 5 years, is still going strong, and I wish I got it 10 years ago. The trash can, that is. The dog is pushing 15 and still makes an effort to go dumpster diving on a regular basis.

Same except we registered for this one that's half the price. My friend got one at her shower last year and recommended it.

u/robikini · 1 pointr/lifehacks

Mine looks just like that one, but is half the price and made by Simple Human

u/intheaterssoon · 1 pointr/woodworking

I understand. The design in this picture is quite different though. See the filter at the top? This is a modified shop vac. That is the shop vac filter that is hanging off of the motor. There is already one baffle directly below the filter. And then the second one down below.

Also note lids like this: https://www.amazon.com/WOODRIVER-Trash-Can-Cyclone-Lid/dp/B0035YD23K
This type of lid has no thien type baffle at all.

There are so many ways to do this stuff which is pretty cool.

In my studio I got lucky with storage but I know that I would get this bag holder as well as collapsible kitchen essentials. A slim trash can helps. If your bathroom has no storage, something like this can help. Hang your spices on the cabinet. Use this in the shower if you need more space. XD I use command hooks near my front door to hold my keys and daily jacket. :)

Someone suggested that I share a photo of my rig.

I have a Sansaire. While it performs well, the hourglass shape is inconvenient.

I purchase a polycarbonate container and lid from Amazon on the advice of another member of this subreddit. The rough home, for the circulator, was made slowly using a soldering iron.

So far, I've cooked several top round steaks with this rig. Most recently, I made a brisket in the style of a beef bourguignon to much success.

My only complaint is the gap in the lid around the immersion circulator. I cover it with plastic wrap to maintain relative water seal.

These parts were far far cheaper than the Sansaire-specific solutions offered by Amazon—even with a $20 soldering iron!

Without a lid, you have three options:

  1. let them burn out.
  2. douse with something (like water)
  3. move the coals to an air tight container.

I wouldn’t put baking soda, powder, or sand anywhere near the grill. Just a mess for cleaning up later. If you’re not willing to let it burn out, I’d buy a small metal trash can with a lid and move the coals into that then put the lid on.

u/fuzzyfuzz · 1 pointr/DIY

My friend has one and I've only seen it in action when he has a bunch of people over, but it's usually randomly opening when people walk by, or not opening when you want it to. Plus, it takes like a second to open, so you have to stand there and wait, which isn't cool if you're chopping a bunch of stuff and need to keep throwing it in.

I'd definitely go for the foot pedal, something like this if you're looking for a nice combo can.

We're considering it because our other recycling center thing is getting to be too small and cumbersome. It's a neat trash can/recycling can. I just hate, hate that she bought it and now makes me question if we should get it. With her setup, she could have gotten a bigger recycling bin instead of the combined one. We have less open room and that's the dual one makes sense for us under our kitchen island. She could have been a massive recycler and gotten a much bigger one and then a regular trash can.

I bought an automatic stainless steel odor-protect trash can and it is my favorite thing! It is huge, it keeps the smell in, it runs in batteries! And best of all NO TOUCHING.

Hey, I've got both a GP mix (91lbs) and a cat that like to get into the trash. We had to get one that is made well and has a lock on it. I love my trashcan. :)

We bought this locking bin based on the reviews and customer photos of it being totally knocked over but still locked. We have a cheaper locking bin for our recycling and I can tell the locking mechanism is much tighter and more secure on this one (it takes 2 hands to open it).

u/oldsillybear · 1 pointr/greatpyrenees

We bought metal trash cans (looks like this but bought them from local feed store or Lowe's or something)

The whole bag of food won't fit so I put it away in a closet or something. We had a plastic bin before a puppy chewed into it.

u/AvailablePizza · 1 pointr/InteriorDesign

Yes I'm surprised they even called it a dining room!

Unfortunately the only other place I can put the trashcan would be in the water-heater room (the white door on the left). I could get a thinner trashcan like this and put in in the corner by the entryway, that way it will take less space.

u/KingNothing · 1 pointr/sousvide

For most baths, I just use my small stock pot. If I'm cooking a larger item or for a group, I go with a 5 gal Rubbermaid container: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000VARWQ4

u/Megamansdick · 1 pointr/sousvide

I think the Anova is rated to 4.5 or 5 gallons, IIRC. The fact that the cooler is insulated is helpful, and you probably aren't filling it up to the 6.25 gallons it holds.

I bought this food safe polycarbonate box for $25, and it is perfect for everything I've done. It's easy to store, and I can use it to carry around other food items if I'm taking it somewhere else to use. I think I just like being able to keep it in the kitchen without people asking me why I have a cooler sitting in the corner. I also don't have to cut holes in it to fit the Anova. If I need a lid for longer cooks to prevent water loss, I just cover it with foil.

u/McFeely_Smackup · 1 pointr/HomeImprovement

Honestly, I think a step-on opening trash can would be your best solution. I wrestled with inside cabinet can solutions for years and was never happy.

I just recently got one of these cans and damn if it isn't the best trash can I've owned. It's a bit expensive, but I'm going to guess from your kitchen photos that it won't break the bank.

I tried a couple different "hands free" cans wher eyou wave your hand over a sensor to open...that was a mistake.

u/Holycrapwtfatheism · 1 pointr/woodworking

I have mine loosely setup with a "diy" 2 stage dust collector. It actually does a pretty good job with minimal footprint. It's just a cheap harbor freight single stage collector attached to this on a metal trash can.

We have the low ceilings around 6'8", 7.5' would be almost workable. I routinely move 8'+ pieces for milling and it's a huge pain in the butt getting them through without tapping bulbs and ballasts.

u/MrMajors · 1 pointr/sousvide

I just did a few cooks with my Anova one with this container. It sits firmly in the middle of the container.

Did steaks and then some eggs @ 176F with no issues.
I heats the water up to temp really fast. Covered with plastic wrap when cooking. Ordered this rack to fit :

http://www.sousvidesupreme.com/Shop_Online/Accessories/SousVide_Supreme_Universal_Pouch_Rack/Product.aspx?ProductID=37&DeptID=45

The Anova is a powerful circulator in this smaller container. Need to put eggs in a container then drop in Camwear. I have a insulated cooler for longer cooks.

Good for daily use with shorter cooks with 4 pouches or so.

You won't go wrong having two size containers.
This Rubbermaid container did not work without cutting lip on container to fit Anova:
