I bought this last year and have put about 1200 hours into all the games of you add them up. In this boxed set you get all 5 of the elder scrolls game INCLUDING their dlc. the only elder scrolls game you dont get is elder scrolls online.

Skyrim requires a steam account and comes with a code which will add morrowwind, oblivion, and skyrim to your steam account. All the games can be installed with the included disk and all the games except skyrim can be run without steam. (morrowind and oblivion can be run with or without steam, skyrim can also be installed with the disc but you cant play it unless you activate the code on your steam account.)

While Rocket League does require a higher connection quality than some other titles, we do have a lot of players with solid wireless connections that play just fine. In terms of our internal testing of Switch, it's running great over wifi.

That said, we do know some players have run into issues with their home wireless networks and online play, and there are a few things to discuss on that front.

1. There is an officially licensed Ethernet adapter for the Switch available if you experience connection quality issues over wifi.
   
2. We are implementing additional network options in a future update to let users control the rate of network updates sent to/from the game client. This may improve reliability on some networks where our frequent update rate can cause problems.

It unlocks all current expansions, gives you a free level 65 character token and a free walker mount for every character you have.

It does not change the status of free accounts though.

You can upgrade your account to "preferred" by buying cartel coins or buying the $5 digital deluxe upgrade. This removes or eases a lot of restrictions. I wont lie, free accounts are horrifically gimped. Preferred accounts are what "free" should have been but I think the reason for the paywall is to combat spammers.

Anyone wanting to experience the full unrestricted game should try the Amazon Premium pack. It's 3 months of subscription time, 2400 cartel coins and a pet for $40, which is $5 less than the cost of 3 months subscription time and the amount of coins you'd get from a $20 pack, so the whole thing is worth about $65. You can only use the pack once per account. Everything else advertised for the pack is stuff everyone gets for subscribing their first time.

I'd recommend saving any cartel coins you have for legacy ("Y" shortcut Key -> "GLOBAL UNLOCKS" left side menu -> "Other" left side menu -> "Convenience" right side) unlocks, specifically rocket boost and improved mounting. Aside from that, unlocking inventory space (for the entire account, not just one character) is a good use for them. There's some other convenience legacy unlocks you might like, specifically Legacy Travel, but I only bought the first one since being subbed reduces the cooldown to 6 minutes which is maybe 30 seconds longer than you might spend on a NPC conversation in-between quick travels.

It's worth noting that subs get 500 cartel coins free each month and you can get 100 coins free each month regardless of whether you sub or not, by using their authenticator app. You can also get some coins for certain achievements. The easiest one to do is the one you get (20 coins each) for completing the starter planet for each of the 8 classes.

It'd be wise to look at cartel coins as being worth $0.01 USD each. So, if you pay 100 coins for an unlock, you effectively spent $1 on it. It helps put things in perspective, so you don't just waste them on some cosmetic junk or useless unlocks (some really are useless.) I mean, they have a lightsaber (all cartel gear has the same stats and provides no real benefit in combat by itself, you have to buy, with in-game credits, or craft mods to make them useful) that costs 5,700 coins, effectively $57 USD. I just can't see spending $57 on a cosmetic weapon but I'm sure some people do it. Sure, it's cool looking but it's just not worth that for most people. They'll also charge you probably around $4 or $5 in coins to unlock it for your entire account, since cartel items typically only unlock for the character that it was bound to, even though that adds it to your collection. They do like to nickel and dime cosmetics. That said, most unlocks can be bought with credits, instead of cartel coins. The problem is Free accounts have a credit cap of 200k and Preferred have a cap of 350k, so any unlock more expensive than that will require you to either be subbed or to spend cartel coins. Since, you can get 100 coins free each month, even on a Free account, it's still possible to get all of the unlocks without spending any money, eventually. You might have a really long wait trying to unlock everything at the rate of 100 coins a month though.

The biggest cartel coin pack you can normally buy is $40 for 5,500 coins but Amazon has a $100 pack for 14,500 coins, which is 750 more than you'd get buying 2.5 x $40 packs. So, it's not that big of a bargain compared to the $40 pack, which gives about 700 bonus coins compared to the $20 pack of 2400 coins. Ultimately, you shouldn't waste money on cartel coins directly. You're better off sticking to the free ones and the ones you get with a sub. The one exception would be maybe spending coins on a mount with "exceptional" resistance to being dismounted. Even then, it's probably best not to waste your money on it.

As a bit of a side note, you get a free pet when you buy cartel coin packs on Amazon but they look very much like the pet you get with their premium pack with the 3 months of sub time.

Finally, leveling up your legacy is super slow, since it's based off of a percentage of the exp you get. If you don't mind spoiling the story for yourself, you could use a lvl 65 boosted character to speed up leveling your legacy and as a quick way to get into higher level crafting, for profit. That said, expect some major spoilers, if you do. It's generally recommended that most people should avoid using boosted characters due to the way it makes a lot of story decisions for you but, if you know what you're getting into and want to anyways, it's your time to spend how you want.

It's generally recommended you either level a character to 60/65 before using a boost. The reason is because boosted characters don't count towards race or class story unlocks and you can't go back and complete them because they're auto-completed for you. There's 8 class stories, 4 for each faction, that you have to complete to unlock legendary status.

These are all the things I wished I'd known when I started.

Please note that the official Nintendo Switch LAN uses the ASIX AX88179 chipset, which is basically the best one for the Switch to use and the one you should recommend. I would completely ignore the first LAN adapter you linked to, and primarily suggest the second one you linked to, or this one which is a few cents cheaper.

I only play one "Vita" game on my Vita, and that's Persona 4 Golden. The rest of my use on my Vita is the remote play when I'm at work, in bed, or the kids wanna use the television. 100% worth it for me. I have no obvious input lag I ever run into. It's great.

EDIT: Here are two accessories I bought for my Vita, due to my large hands I felt these were necessary. If you've ever felt like your hands were too cramped using a Vita, look into these.

HORI "Remote Play Assist" Case I bought this before I realized you cannot change controller layout when using remote play. Many game devs put the extra buttons (like L2/R2 L3/R3) on the stupid touch screen, and you're stuck with it. The gray buttons this case adds only touches the back of the Vita. It did save my butt on games like Uncharted and Last of Us. Plus it makes the handheld thicker and has palm grips. So even if you don't use the triggers much, it's a great feel.

Analog Stick High Covers Again for my big hands, the low profile sticks wasn't cutting it for me. I did find after a month I had to take off the Right Stick cover cause it was too tall and hitting X would often push the stick down. The Left Stick cover is PERFECT for me.

You could argue online functionality though PlayStation Plus is entirely optional. But now that the cost of that is being brought up, I may as well point out that that build has no mouse, keyboard, controller or other input device factored in. Whereas PS4s at least come with a DualShock 4.

I thought the same as you. I bought the Amazon 3m sub (extra coins, cheaper than 3x 1m sub, etc) thinking the same way as you. I've been sub'd ever since. Ops are addictive... and once you have all the perks thinking of going back is cringy.

BEFORE

• If you don't have active toons but have done stories, there's not much prep you really need to do...
  
• You can plan out a bit as far as what you like goes; if you remember what roles/classes you enjoyed playing it would be a good start. The sub-exclusive content starts off fairly easy (groupfinder ops, easy uprisings, etc), but it's best to at least kinda know your class and have a main to do stuff on.
  
• put 1k cartel coins aside and don't use it. Since you'll be dropping server slots, etc, it will be wise to transfer one toon (with some starter credits, other useful items and so on) to the other NA server right before your sub dies to duplicate your legacy. More on this at the bottom.
  
• Join a guild that does events. Can do this once you sub, but it's not something that needs to wait, so~
  
• Download Teamspeak, Discord, and set them up. Some things benefit from voice comms, and adding a server is far quicker than having to download and set up stuff while people wait.
  
• You can also download/install starparse to see how you're doing. It's not really needed, but once you get good gear you might be interested in seeing where your DPS stands.
  
• If you plan to do groupfinder operations (esp if you're hoping to try some hard mode ones), it's a good idea to look up guides/vids just so you have a slightly better idea of what they're like. Not needed, but~
  
• Buy the starter strongholds. A week or two ago, DK was 6 credits, so I assume Coruscant is as well. Might as well buy them now and set up a bit.
  
  • Go to fleet and check out public strongholds; that will give you an idea on which you might like to buy/unlock once you have enough credits
    
• You can pass time by grinding heroics, etc for credits. Legacy bank (you get one once you have a SH and do a lvl 15 mission on fleet) lets you skip escrow as f2p, and escrow goes back into your wallet anyway once you sub.
  
• See if there are any 2x XP events or other things you might want to be sub'd for to maximize your time.
  
  
  ONCE YOU SUB
  
  
• Use a referral code once you are sub'd; this will let you keep all three crew skills when your sub runs out, extra week of sub time, etc. You might also get a few mil from someone.
  
• Try to get at least one person to use your referral code; it gives you a speeder that has a constant 110% speed, even at piloting 1 (all other are at 90% at that skill level).
  
• If you like certain races (sans togruta/cathar) you can make them for free, so DO so. Once these are leveled to 50 the race unlocks for free and you can use them on any new future toons (see last section for why this is important)
  
• For speed leveling, Get kicked to Yavin by a friend or kind stranger (for max effect, buy full exploration character perk + run a boost, then either start doing heroics or just grind mobs at [A Question of Motivation] (imp) to get to 70. Save story for later, though be sure to at least have your ship for toons you plan to do events on (summons requires ship).
  
• You want to get to 70 and start earning CXP, because that's where gear comes from, and you can only earn it while you're a sub. Save your tokens, save gold shells since those can be upgraded later (if you PvP).
  
• Do groupfinder operations.
  
  • They're sub-only, and they're fun as hell (even SM, at first)
    
  • They drop tier 2 gear, which you roll on (etiquette is 1/person unless stated otherwise, then greed on them)
    
  • You want to do Eternity Vault and Karagga's Palace at first. Stay away from pug Ravagers and Dread anything for a bit until you get used to them and hopefully catch good groups.
    
  • You want to have plenty of time to do them; since you'll be pugging assume 2h as a minimum window before you have to go. They usually take less with a good group, but you don't want to have to leave before finishing them
    
  • You can do each operation once per week per toon (per difficulty, but unless you really REALLY like them and are willing to put in a LOT of work you probably won't get to do the higher difficulties... maybe EV/KP), so stay away from "Last Boss lockout runs" or ask groups if they're doing full runs when you join. Once you kill a boss all previous ones auto-lock for you for that week.
    
  • SAY you are new, ASK when you don't understand and read/listen carefully. Many times people are more than willing to explain, but don't want to wipe 5x+ before asking if you're new. This also goes for flashpoints.
    
• Do uprisings (or at least try them); they're like mini flashpoints without cutscenes, etc. I personally dislike them, but SM ones are worth trying while you can.
  
• Grind heroics and work the GTN, ETC to make credits, and spend them on various stuff that's above f2p/pref credit cap
  
  • Unlock strongholds; buy the fun ones. I personally love NS the most, but YMMV
    
  • Unlock global perks in legacy for credits. Quick travel, rocket boost, mount while moving, etc are all great investments
    
• Try out various specs of classes, since they don't cost anything to swap around as a sub. You want to know what to leave toons at once it runs out.
  
• Buy/get legacy shells and augment them, then use those to gear. Ripping insides/augmenting is cheaper as a sub
  
  
  Right Before Sub Ends
  
  
• Decide which toons (if you made too many) you will be keeping active; get anything important off the others, put in cargo hold/legacy (inc all credits in the legacy bank)
  
• On mains check to make sure all outfits have the hide head on/off on various outfits; these will stay but lock when sub runs out, so any outfit slot with hide head will still have hide head, until you sub again. Make sure you leave a few with head showing in case you later make outfits you want helmets visible on, etc
  
• Pick one toon and transfer it to the other server. This will copy your legacy and global unlocks, race unlocks, etc.
  
  • Buy strongholds on that server. Once the base is bought, all the unlocks from the other server are auto-unlocked
    
  • Send this toon with money, etc. so you can jumpstart future toons.
    
  • This costs 1k cc atm, but saves you all those unlock costs and other achievements you've done.
    
• Make sure all but 350k are in your legacy bank, not on your character
  
• Pop all CXP packs and make sure all gear is done right/augmented/in legacy shells
  
• NOW buy any vanity items you want off the GTN
  
• Make sure all toons you want to play are in the right spec, etc.
  
• Double check that there's nothing you forgot to do/try out
  
  Once it ends
  
  
• Say "screw it" and renew the sub...

Games can be changed in and out but imo BOTW is the best game on the switch and Mario Kart 8 is loads of fun. I personally do not have a pro controller, mainly because I play strictly handheld but from what I have been told it is a must for docked gameplay.

Edit: In the future you are going to need a SD card. Especially if you are going the Digital route, again personally I prefer physical and the at of collecting the games but that is me.

It's pricey, but found the back touchscreen completely unusable without it. The grip makes using those buttons much easier.

It being a Razer product in no way justifies the price. At best, it explains it, as Razer is infamous for selling overpriced, crap products. Even this stick is literally a rip-off of the Mad Catz fightpad, except it's even less usable (no analog stick) and somehow costs like 4 times as much. Even the very similar Hori Fighting Commander is a third of the price.

I got a Hori Real Arcade Pro 4 off Amazon for ~$200. Works on PC and PS4, feels great, looks great, all that jazz. Definitely recommended

Well, they changed it back finally.

This is the Switch listing, and always has been the Switch listing. There has never been another Switch listing for the core game, and the rep that told someone that Amazon would be adding the Switch preorder "soon" and hadn't yet was all levels of wrong. This is the stick I own. I've got 300 hours into mine and it's still going strong. My only complaint is that it is kind of light-weight so it slides in my lap sometimes, and the door housing the power cord is only held on with two small plastic nubs that seem to break very easily. A rubber band keeps the cord together just fine for me now though.

EDIT : I also suggest trying the program ce360
as that may work to read the input from your already purchased fightstick? I suppose if your PC doesn't recognize the stick at all then it won't help.

If you're playing on pad, just use any USB game controller you already have. The most important thing is that you think it's comfortable.

If you want personal anecdotes, I'm currently using a HORI Fighting Commander, and it's pretty nice.

Every Steam Sale you can get Morrowind and Oblivion GOTY for like $5, Skyrim Legendary is usually around $7.49.

It goes on sale more times a year than I can count. But you can also get the Elder Scrolls Anthology, it has EVERY Elder Scrolls from Arena to Skyrim and all DLC for Morrowind, Oblivion and Skyrim.

Then look elsewhere. This stick is a modified real arcade pro which retails for $150. I personally have the same stick for my PS4 and it's worth it IMO. My only complaint are the buttons which you can easily swap out for Sanwa anyway.

I have the DS4 kit that came with the controller and their Bluetooth adapter and it works good. We play from across the room, with drunkards in the middle and it still works well.

I tried the regular Bluetooth adapters, they are okay if really close, but not across the room.

I think he's talking about a wired connection with the $30 ethernet to usb things. The switch would need to be docked to connect an ethernet to it, so you'd need a monitor for each person as far as i can tell. This is such a niche thing though, just order that go pro tape and it'll pretty much be fused on. The switches can be connected wirelessly without docks though, so this wouldn't really be useful unless you were in a tournament.

The xbox analog stick is possibly one of the worst input methods for direction out of all the common options. Even the awful 360 d-pad is better. I think you'll find improvement using anything else. If you want to keep the xbox controller, do yourself a favor and learn to use the dpad on it.

Great idea to have a hobby with your son!

1. Coolermaster masterkeys Pro S RGB would probably be a good candidate for a first entry to the hobby. It is a pretty good quality board, and it has a standard layout, which means you can easily swap out keycaps without having to worry about special keysizes. It also has RGB, which i'm certain your son will find fun to play with as well. I just included a link to Amazon, but if you search a bit more i'm sure you could find a better deal.
   
   
2. As for keycaps you have a lot of choices in every pricerange. If you are looking for something specific, i suggest /r/mechmarket. Almost always someone is willing to sell you what you are looking for, for a reasonable price.
   
   Alternatively you could look at something like WASDkeyboards. They have a service, where you can make your own keyset, and have them make it. The quality is not the best, but i'm sure your son would appreciate being able to create something, and see his creation on his own keyboard.
   
   As for higher end options, i'm not sure how relevant they are for you, but you can look into GMK and Signature Plastics keycaps, which are available through a ton of websites like www.originativeco.com, www.pimpmykeyboard.com, www.massdrop.com and the list goes on. If you want i can give you a ton of more links in a PM.
   
   
3. Building a keyboard, is a good way to go deeper into the hobby, and i'm sure it would be a fun project. I suggest you take a good look at winkeyless' website. It's a store that sells keyboards in kit form, and they have pretty nice stuff. It's more expensive than a prebuilt like the Coolermaster, but that is just how it goes in this hobby.
   
   As for building the board, that is a whole topic in it self, and i suggest you start with the first point in your post, and move on from there. Learning about everything is part of the experience IMO.

I don't know if this is of interest to you, but I play on PC with Mouse + PS3 Move Navigation controller. There are a couple of ways to get the controller to work but the easiest is to simply buy the Mayflash PS3 to USB adapter.

The Move controller is one handed, so you hold it in your off hand that would normally be placed on the WASD keys. For me, it's mainly a comfort thing.

The PS3 had a PS Move Navigation controller. I have one. I kept my Move controllers when I hears they were compatible with the PS4. I didn't know how I'd use them, but thought there was a reason. Then 1 day, PSVR was announced and released. The move controllers were compatible, but I've yet to see an example or compatibility for the Navigation controller with the PSVR... Just saying...

I've had this stick for nearly a year now and not a single issue with it. I've clocked 1,300 hours in Tekken with this thing so it's not like it was seldom use. I've been pounding it every single day.

While I like the portability the smaller ones have, the big one being able to carry everything is a big bonus. Protection is a huge factor too.

This stuff is pretty obvious. Look at your friends, people you know. How many people use wired ethernet nowadays? It's a vanishingly small number I'm sure.

So why put a port that is niche onto a device and make it more expensive for everyone? When it comes to maximising profits on hardware then every penny counts. Putting an ethernet port on adds to the Bill of Materials (BoM: the amount it costs to manufacture the device), it increases the number of faulty devices coming back for repairs under warranty and increases the amount of testing required. So you're adding costs and risks to your device when only, what, 5% of your customers will ever use it.

That barely used ethernet port could be the different between a $299 and $310 device, and that leading digit could have a huge psychological effect on customers' perception.

So what's the alternative? Well, manufacture a separate dongle. Because it's a niche product you can jack up the price to cover its design, manufacture and testing costs and warranty returns. Because it's separate to the main device it doesn't matter so much if there are issues with it. In fact, you could tender it out to a third-party to manufacture and not have to stress about it much at all. It's off your critical path, it's out of your books. Your risky, expensive port has been transformed into pure profit.

This one has support for L3/R3 compatibility as well. Both are extremely comfortable, but I will say even with the 2000 model the one you posted can get pretty heavy over time. I think it's weighted a bit off, but that being said, I played a majority of my playthrough of Nier using the case you posted and it worked flawlessly. That game requires a lot of R2 mashing and it never skipped a beat.

I bought fightpad last year and it's a feature. I assign it to a button and it'd have the effect of pressing the button really quickly until I cancel it.

It's this one Hori Pad.

Just get the Fighting Commander. It's like a couple more dollars expensive than this one but it's much bigger and has a better D-pad altogether. They even have one for Xbox, too.

Using numpad notation: (5 = neutral, 6 is toward the opponent, 8 up, etc.)

IAD: 8 6 6 and 8 4 4 are pretty inefficient try:

IAD forward: 9->6 (wait a little in between, going back to neutral before 6. the cleaner/faster you get with this the closer to the ground you'll be when you dash - which is preferable because it gives less time for the opponent to react)

IAD backward: 7->4 (again neutral in between)

Other people have pointed out the shortcut for airdashing - I've always found those kinda hit or miss, so i prefer the above. Up to you though.

Long Jump: input: 2 8 (neutral) or 2 9 (forward) or 2 7 (backward)

TBH i don't really use this as much as I should(? idk i just play for fun and self-improvement, i'm not competitive), but it's just a practice thing - getting used to your controller. To practice, a good setup is to see if you can do a move/combo (or in this case jump) all the way from one side of the screen to the other (multiple times if it's a far-moving move) without messing up. IAD is the perfect example, start from one corner and IAD repeatedly until you get to the other corner. Do it until you can go the whole screen without missing the input. (don't just grind for it though, probably best to do this as a warm-up for 20 mins or less per day for a bit)

As far as I can tell, sadly no. You could try one of those grip cases that add physical triggers. Here's one for Vita 1000, and another for Vita 2000.

What I did was a lot cheaper and janky. I just took a couple strips of scotch tape and stuck them on the rear touchpad, covering the area that R&C uses for strafing. The tape still lets your touch inputs work, but it adds a bit of tactile feedback that really helps compared to just flailing around with no purpose :P Make sure to use matte tape instead of glossy, so it actually feels different!

Arcade stick or pad is a preference. There's really no right answer. Personally, I love stick. I picked one up soon after I got into fighting games, because I loved the idea of them and I knew that I would love using one, and I haven't looked back since.

If you are curious about arcade sticks, just keep in mind that they take a few months to get used to. Some people pick it up faster than others, but for me it was a good month before I became accustom to it and then a handful more before it felt truly natural.

As for third-party pad alternatives, I know that Hori ( Fighting Commander 4 & Fighting Commander ) and MadCatz ( FightPad PRO ) both make controllers geared towards fighting games. Personally, that FightPad PRO looks bizarre to me.

The Xbox d-pads are nearly all terrible for precise inputs. Grab up a controller that was made for fighting games, like these ones.

ughhh this halo 2 online subject surfaces frequently. Heres the bottom line, a simple halo 2 pc amazon search will result in this, or you can buy this wherever youd like. Local gamestop problably wont have it but whatever. After you but this you install it on ure PC and you will be able to play ONLINE through whats called Windows Vista Games. This runs through the xbox live network. You WILL be able to play online against anyone just like you were playing it on your xbox years ago. You can setup a new gamertag or you can link it to your xbox live one if you already have. You can see your friends online and they will see u online(playing halo 2 PC) You DONT need an xbox live gold membership for online play. There are NO ranking systems or playlists, just custom games, usually only FFAs on lockout or midship. Its still fun though. As far as local mulitplayer(splitscreen) i havent tried it but im 90% sure it will work fine.

From my own perspective, I could not dream of using Photoshop without having the keyboard within easy reach. I live and die by keyboard shortcuts. As you've found out, using Photoshop with only the pen can feel very inefficient when drawing or editing.

Oh I agree that they don't need a smaller keyboard. I have just found that it is more comfortable to use one.

I am typical person who hates change and defended using a full size KB for a long time, and after moving to a TKL I wish I had done it years earlier.

I still don't understand the whole "tenkeyless" thing - why have inverted T arrow keys that take up the same amount of space as a full numpad? A full numpad is far more useful - especially for gaming.

If you want plug and play, look for the X-plorer guitar for Xbox 360. You can plug it in directly to your PC and it should work no problems. Otherwise you need this adapter and a wireless Xbox 360 guitar.

The way I see it, it's all preference but if you want to buy a stick you should just do it (but don't feel pressured to do it). It's like the FPS scene where everyone asks what sensitivity the pros use. 9 out of 10 times they will say they use 800 mouse dpi with a low in game sensitivity. Sure there are crazy high sens. twitch pro players, but there is a reasoning behind getting used to lower sensitivity vs using high sensitivity. The lower the sensitivity, the more you move your arm and the more accurate you can be, and as long as you can 180 with one arm motion the lower the better.

I'm actually using the same logic in buying a stick. I HATE the d-pad (literally can't do the DP motion on it). I use the joy stick and while it works fine I'm not satisfied with my accuracy when it comes to the stricter inputs required for some combos. I want to try out something with higher kinetic motion so that, once I get used to it, there is less room to mess up (which sounds backwards actually). Also fight sticks are badass and I can afford one so why not.

I'm looking at these 2 sticks atm, Hori Real Arcade Pro and Mad Catz TE2. I kind of like the Hori since it's cheaper but it's not a big deal for me to go for the Mad Catz TE2 if it has something that over the Hori that I'm not seeing. Thoughts? Also, are there any other options out there I may be missing for a mid/high-end stick?

There are lots of companies still making quality sticks. If you use the term 'fightstick' you'll have better luck searching. Hori, Madcatz, and Qanba all have good sticks out there right now.

Ah ok. Well if PC and ps4/ps3 are going to be mainly where you are going to be playing on then i would go for the Hrap 4 kai or Hrap V Hayabusa since they work ps3/ps4 and pc(xinput).

I have the qanba q1 that i swapped out with sanwa parts myself but it is the xbox 360 version and i use it for games/emulators on pc and it works with no issues.

I dont think any stick manufacturers will be making any ps4/ps3/360/xbox 1 compatible sticks anytime soon since fighting games arent getting many releases on xbox one.

With screen protectors you really want to go with tempered glass. Starter kits are a nice deal, but you do get what you pay for when it comes to screen protectors; such is life.

For a screen protector, I along with the rest of Reddit it seems have settled upon this screen protector as being the absolute best. I even had Best Buy Geek Squad install it to virtually guarantee proper installation, and it looks absolutely fantastic. I had the chance to play for a few weeks without it and personally think it actually makes the screen look better.

Unfortunately no for the patch. I have no clue why they won’t activate the USB 3.0. I wish they would though. My WiFi speed is faster than the USB 2.0, but obviously stability is better with the LAN adapter. With USB 3.0, we could have best of both worlds.

Yes I have the adapter by HORI I am sure other adapters could work well, but I am always hesitant to get non-licenced stuff. Though I am not sure that is really the issue. My SO usually plays rocket league with me in handheld mode, and she isn't getting any rubberbanding either.

There might be two things you want to look into with your router. Do you know if it is 802.11ac or 802.11n? Also when you run an internet test what NAT Type do you get?

The nunchuck(I'm assuming you mean the Navigation Controller) isn't trackable, so Sony likely telling developers to not rely on it.

As for sluggish controls...I feel like that's kind of the point. Golems aren't known for being super smooth and swift.

Killzone 3 and Resistance 3 are platform exclusive shooters with 3D support. I have played both, and both are worth their current non-release day price.

I have not played either of these games with the Playstation Move/Eye, Playstation Nav controller and/or the Playstation Sharpshooter. But you can. For a most un-desktop computer experience.

Maybe getting a Playstation Move Navigation Controller or just using half of a regular gamepad would open up a few different games you can play. Use Steams controller binding software to bind eveything you need to the right side. Could work for racing games or platformers.



Microsoft is also coming out with their own Adaptive Controller which should allow lots of customization to use a foot pedal and other things.

If you've never tried a mechanical keyboard before, its not simply the "click", but the feel of the entire typing experience. You will have to try it out to know what I mean. There are many different types of key switches with different amounts of force required to register their presses, different ones that have a tactile bump that tell you when you've activated the key, ones with no bump at all, different ones that click when pressed down, combinations of these, and a lot more. Its good to be educated about the different types of key switches before finally investing into a mechanical keyboard, based off of your situation and preferences. Head to /r/MechanicalKeyboards if you want to see people with way too many keyboards and good recomendations. Personally, I'd recommend the Cooler Master Storm Quickfire series here and here, or the popular Poker II from Massdrop. A good mechanical keyboard is definitely a worthy investment, as it will last you for a very long time and you can swap out the keycaps if they get damaged or if you want a different look. Also note that Razer's mech keyboards are lower quality than most other keyboards due to their special key switches manufactured in China, so don't trust Razer's keyboards no matter how flashy they look. You're better off with literally any other mechanical keyboard.

For your mouse, its personal preference but if you're going to play something "serious" like CS:GO I'd recommend any mouse from Logitech's gaming lineup since their sensors from the lowest to the highest pricepoint are trusted by pro players.

Order of recommendation

Cherry blues for the feel and durability.

Kailh blues for the sound.

I cannot recommend Cherry Reds. I HATED them. I had a Quickfire TK and while i loved the layout, I hated the Red switches. They're too soft and if you're heavy handed they will press very easily on accident. I spilled a Gin and Tonic on it the other night. Like 5 nights ago. I haven't reassembled it yet to see if it works after putting it in a dehumidifier.

My first mechanical was a Tt eSPORTS Poseidon Z but the spacebar switch stopped working so I'm in the process of desoldering all the switches on it. I'm going to get some Blacks or maybe Browns for it. Just something I haven't tried yet.

Spend $10 more and get it brand new here. At that price point, there are several boards you can get with Cherry MX Red switches for brand new.

This is just my personal experience but I have never had good luck with Razer products (other people have however), and I do not like third party programs needed to get the most out of my equipment but that means you usually will not get any keyboards or mouses with extra macro buttons or anything else.

Apparently it's been out a while, but only recently have X and Y codes started working on it.

Short answer: No.

Long answer: Yes, with a ton of work, dedication, and actual real-life money spent, and the right 3DS firmware version.

SUPER LONG ANSWER: Yes, with Homebrew (currently not feasibly achievable with the current firmware version), a PowerSaves device, the proper firmware version (reiterating because it is literally impossible to do on some of the more recent ones). Some valuable resources, in a short form, are this 3DS Homebrew guide, this PowerSaves device purchase page, and this encouraging potato. More than likely, if you're running the proper firmware version, you'll only be able to use OoTHax, which uses an exploit with The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D (cartridge only, sorry). So here's a purchase page for that, too. Both a Nintendo Selects version and a non-Nintendo Selects version will work, as long as it's a cartridge.

And that's just the basics to get your Homebrew working properly. You'll need the Save Manager Homebrew App, which can be downloaded from a link in this reddit thread in order to export the save data from the 3DS to your SD card, and then this beautiful site in order to actually edit your save data. Since you're only going for a backup, though, I'd recommend just saving the files put onto your SD card by Save Manager (something like garden.dat, exhibition.dat, etc.) and tucking them away in a folder somewhere on your computer. After you backup your files on your computer, you are free to delete your town as you wish and start anew. When you want to return to the old town, just backup your current town's files to your computer, and put the old town's files onto your SD card.

And, uh, one more thing, which I'm going to bold and italics because it's extremely important, no matter which route you go for save backing-upping: Nintendo was VERY smart about the way Animal Crossing: New Leaf deals with save data, and because of this, every single save has it's own unique key. If, for some reason, the game is expecting a key for one save (your most recent one, let's just say) and it gets a key for a different save (a random example being someone else's saves), the game will delete all the data, and wipe the keys, making it only possible to restart ALL over without any way of recovering or restoring from any prior backups. The site I linked you to has a way to make sure that any save put through it can sync up with the current save key, and the Save Manager Homebrew app does, to my best understanding of many uses of it, automatically sync the keys up. I think. I've never really had any problems, and I'm telling you almost 100% exactly how I do it, so you probably won't have any problems either.

I currently have two characters that I play on mainly, One called Saikewnonebi (Level 55) on the Republic Side (he's a Jedi Knight, yo.) I also have a girl called Kelechi (Level 35) on the Empire side, she's a Sith Marauder.

I massive enjoy levelling because of the story, but I want to continue the story and go to Manaan and Rishi (the two added planets) - there are also two added endgame Operations (A.K.A Raids) I'm massively missing out on the content my Guild is doing because they all have the DLC's and I don't.

  My republic side character's are all in the PvE guild, Eternal Dawn. I'm currently a Recruiter and we have ~300 members. The guild were very friendly to me as when I got Saikewnonebi to Level 50 I was still quite new to the game. IIRC I ran an Operation with a character named Badass and I asked him if his guild was open, he said yes and I as invited almost immediately! I've been in Eternal Dawn ever since - it's been a good time!
  
  My Empire side guild is well, mine! I'm the Guild Leader of a guild named Imperial Eclipse and have been for about two weeks! We currently sit at around 15 members but we really look forward to growing! It's more a levelling guild until the first member reaches endgame! (Level 50+). TKL is cheaper, takes up less desk space, and most importantly, provides better ergonomics. Full size keyboards induce either wrist strain or shoulder strain in right handed mouse users.

CM Masterkeys Pro S is a fantastic price right now. A Ganss GS87 is pretty nice and has PBT caps. A Ducky One TKL PBT is a solid choice.

The cheap Nexilus / CTA grip works well enough for me. The trigger grips seemed expensive so I held off.

eBay has the Hori trigger grip as well as another one in the $30 range that I'd consider if looking for triggers.

I've got the Nyko Power Grip. Feels pretty good on the hands, and has a battery of its own that keeps my Vita going through the days in and out of sleep mode.

There's also this one particular grip that I've been eyeing that's geared for Remote Play users, adding 2 sets of triggers for the rear touch pad. It's import only, and a little pricey because of it, but real useful for PS4 titles that use the default Remote Play configuration.

I can confirm Playstation Vita w/PS4 works pretty good too. I did get the trigger case a long time ago off Amiami and its really expensive now.

This line is one of the best pads out there for SFV, and I don't personally consider it very expensive. You might try and find a used one on ebay or something if you need cheaper. Or one of the older gens. I personally use their older model.

i used a hori fighting commander for a while before i finally got the scratch to invest in a stick. i really like it, and still use it every now and again just for fun. i also use it when i play emulators and some platformers.

the dpad is solid and face buttons are slightly oversized. i find it to be a really satisfying pad all around.

If you don't mind I'll give you some more thoughts. So first on fight sticks: They are in no way necessary to be competitive or in our case 'not bad' and they definitely are not for everyone. When I was heavy in dbfz I used this https://www.amazon.com/Fighting-Commander-PlayStation-Officially-Licensed-4/dp/B01GVOFIAA?th=1 it is larger (I have larger hands) but it really helped me build up execution with the feedback and nice d-pad and its cheaper than almost all fight sticks. Since then though I have gone back to just the ps4 controller and don't see any major drop offs. I know this is a ps4 sub but if you have a switch you can usually find dbfz on sale on that and just use the joycons. Seasoned fighters will go crazy at that suggestion but its all about what works for you. I use the joycons for dbfz and will admit my execution is sloppier and I drop things I wouldn't on ps4 but I like to play on the go (mostly practice cause you want good connections when playing online).

Now on dbfz. Get it. Period. If you are a dragon ball fan get it. If you are new to fighters get it. If you want a great community to help you learn and has a crazy amount of resources get it. If you want to look cool with the lowest possible execution get it. If you grow into a monster at fighters and want to do some crazy stuff get it and probably all other fighters.

If your main goal is to get away from the 360 dpad, there are pads you can use to avoid the higher costs of stick.

Either the Hori fighting commander or a PS4 controller may solve your problem.

The Move controller charge base that I have is the official Playstation one (I actually bought it to charge my DualShock controllers and didn’t know until I received it that they’d repurposed the old Move controller base by including a bit that plugs into your DS — they didn’t even bother changing the PS3 box haha). There are other options out there — this one is half the price of mine at $13.99 that looks like it can charge either the Moves or DualShock (but only two at once). PowerA Charging Station - 2 controllers, not little kid friendly, as it has a spring to load/unload the controller and kids will just pull it off. If the spring is in the incorrect position, it can be difficult to put the controller on charge.

Collective Minds PSVR Stand and Charging Station - 2 controllers, 2 move controllers, and 1 USB slot for headset or PSVR AIM controller.

PlayStation Platinum Headset - Went through 2 PS Gold headsets due to weak plastic frame. Platinums feel more sturdy. Haven't used too much to test durability. Great sound, but I am not an audiophobe.

PSVR AIM Controller - Got it bundled with Firewatch. Read that it felt good in hands. I thought it felt a little awkward, but definitely easy enough to use. Just have to get used to the button layout.

AC Infinity Fans - These are 80mm fans. It comes with 2 fans in parallel that are powered over USB. I don't use my PS4's USBs, because those are taken up with other accessories, so I have it attached to my surround sound receiver. One fan pulling air from the back of the Pro, and the other directing the fan out of the shelf area. I recommend these, as I've noticed the spin up on my Pro has significantly went down.

Collective Mind Display... My wife doesn't like me leaving game stuff on the couch. I have no problem unplugging it, but it's also close enough to the PS4 that I could even put it on the stand without unplugging it... What sold me is I've never invested in a DS4 charging station (despite having 4 controllers)... You can get BotW for less if you just look. You need to understand pricing models. Nintendo does not charge you $60 for the game, the store does. I don't know about starting with Morrowind honestly. It's definitely a hard game and it turned me away from the series for a little bit before I picked up Oblivion and loved it. Skyrim is amazing as well but I would suggest starting with Oblivion.

If you don't have anything right now, I'd get a Wiitar and the Raphnet adapter. 360 Les Pauls (possibly any 360 GH guitar? I've heard 360 GH5 guitars are good as well but they get a lot less attention) are the best you can do wirelessly AFAIK, and the cost is basically a push given that a 360 wireless adapter and a 360 Les Paul is generally around the same price (maybe $10 more expensive) as a decent Wiitar and the Raphnet adapter. From what I understand, PS3 guitars are to be avoided.

I'd honestly just go to a thrift shop or some garage/yard sales and see what you can find and go from there. 360 guitars are still a good option even if the Raphnet adapter + Wii guitars are slightly better latency.

Guitar Hero 3 for PC only works with Guitar Hero guitars for some reason. It's possible to use Rock Band guitars by using a program called XPadder to map the buttons, but I've done that and it's honestly a huge pain. The best way to go is to find a wired Xplorer guitar for Xbox360 or get a Xbox360 wireless PC adapter and a wireless Guitar Hero guitar.

The Hori Fighting Commander 4 has universally positive reviews, is compatible with PS4, and now it's discounted to $30.

The Qanba Q1 is a very good budget choice for sticks, costs $80, proprietary but good quality parts (can be modded later), and is compatible with PS4 SFV in legacy mode.

For higher-end, there is the Hori RAP 4 for $150, PS4 compatibility, quality Hori stick and buttons, pretty much the best you can get ($200 on MadCatz TE2 is not worth)

Or you could try the used route, I bet there are many people selling their old but good sticks on eBay because of PS4.

Do not buy a Mad Catz stick, they are overpriced. Yes they are good sticks but you could get a Hori and Qanba that is just as good for half the price. I would personaly recommend this one or that one. They both work on PC.

One thing about the RAP4 is the stick only sits about an inch above the platform, so there's not a ton of room for your fingers if your hands are really big. I have pretty big hands and its something I had to get used to.

This Hori Real Arcade Pro 4 Kai keeps dropping in price on Amazon. It did it the other day and made it down to like 113 bucks or something, so keep your eye on it for a bit. I think it is pretty well regarded as a good stick, others may have more input than me.

This is the one I have it comes with a 4 way restriction plate, and I am modding it to an 8-gate tonight. That is the only thing I really wanted to change. Hori did a great job over all. I might eventually change it to Sanwa, but for now it works great.

Depends on what you play it for. If you played it for the story - absolutely.

Sadly over the past year there has only been one new addition to group play - a warzone. There hasn't been a new operation (raid) or flashpoint (instance) since December 2014 with the release of the previous expansion. But they did scale everything up to the current level cap so you can play all the operations and instances, and scale you down to the level of zones you're visiting and the experience/credits/loot up to your level so everything is always at the very least somewhat challenging, rewarding, and fun to play.

Game's still pretty great, but people who have been playing it since launch are understandably burnt out.

RP is still going strong on the main RP server (Ebon Hawk) and if you're interested in PvP the few remaining PvP ruletype servers still have strong PvP. There's rumors of them moving towards a megaserver format to merge all the servers in a region together, but we haven't seen anything on it in a while.

It's definitely better than it was at launch, and someone just starting today will have a thousand hours of content to consume before they start retreading over old stuff, but its pretty hard to stay subscribed right now unless you have a core group of friends keeping the game fun.

If anyone wants to give it a try, its free to play and free to start. Most of the game is free, but honestly the F2P mode is pretty limited gameplay wise (no instances or PvP for the most part) and stops just before the first expansion. If you want to get all the content, subscription starts at $15 a month, but Amazon sells a 3 month bundle that also comes with $20 of the premium currency (used to purchase cosmetic stuff or experience boosts - which are useless because you level so fast) for $40. You can also use it for existing accounts but only once. Once you subscribe you have permanent access to all story content after the first expansion and your F2P mode is a bit less limited when your subscription lapses.

Don't let the hatejerk on /r/gaming and this sub lie either, this game is KOTOR 3, and KOTOR 4-10 as well. All 8 classes have their own story and they're fantastically written, especially now that you can skip all the sidequest MMO bullshit and just run through the story stuff and have fun. The gameplay is what you'd expect from an MMO, but it has a bioware spin on it (No auto attacks, everyone has companions that can help them fight and fill a role they can't, etc.)

I have an NDS Adaptor Plus to back up and restore my DS save files, and it's served me well. For 3DS games, you'll want a Powersaves 3DS. (Powersaves Pro for 3DS is the same device in different packaging, so if that's what's available in your country then that's fine too.) I have heard a couple of reports of bricking, but that's always a risk with any cheat devices.

Currently sitting at $21 (plus shipping if you don't have Prime or if your total order isn't over $35). Not the lowest its been these past few days, but it still seems like it's worth it since you get the physical discs, a Steam key to Morrowind/Oblivion/Skyrim and ALL of the DLC's (as far as I can tell), and a few physical maps.

The Elder Scrolls Anthology, with Arena, Daggerfall, Morrowind, Oblivion and Skyrim (and expansions), is always cheap on Amazon.

I'm wondering if perhaps you reverted a driver that shouldn't have been reverted or disabled one.

What you can try is to use System Recovery and go back to an earlier time period. You can do one that will reset everything (if you don't care about your data or have it saved on the cloud or something; this is my recommended option, if you have important data, back it up to a flash drive or cloud or something) or you can use the one that keeps your files. This one simply messes with driver updates, usually but leaves your files in tact. It might be worth a try. Try to go back before you attempted all these changes.

If that doesn't work, I suggest doing the complete restore.

Clone Hero is guitar-only at the moment. Your best areas are going to be thrift stores like Goodwill, Savers, and the likes, as those are hella cheap there. From there try things like Facebook Marketplace, LetGo, and OfferUp. Ebay is a last resort as it will usually be a bit more pricey there.

USB is a weird thing when it comes to these guitars. For being straight-forward you can go with either an Xplorer or a Rock Band 1 Stratocaster, as both can be wired. Get a breakaway if they don't come with one, then it's plug and play. Next up would be wireless Xbox 360 guitars, like a Les Paul or a GH5 guitar, but you'll need a wireless adapter like this. It's a little pricey, so make sure you have a working guitar before you go this route. Then there's the Wii guitars with the Raphnet adapter, but that's a little overkill for just getting into the game.

I know I just said CH is guitar-only, but if you want to do drums later on (or now with Phase Shift) Xbox wired/wireless drums function the same way, and for some reason PS3 drums are wired USB and are plug-and-play, so there's that to keep in mind as well.

Also check craigslist. Can't really go wrong with any of the guitar hero guitars expect live if you want to play the standard 5-note charts. Xplorers and les pauls are generally well liked. Xplorer is the only one thats plug and play, others need this as they are wireless.

   Obviously there is an advantage to be had if you already own some controllers under one of the suggestions, but aside from that it's personal choice. As a side note, if you get a Pi3 or Pi0w you won't NEED the $13 bluetooth adapter listed for option #3 but it's highly recommended since using the built-in bluetooth seem to have more inherent lag than a USB adapter. It's also worth mentioning that options #1 & #2 will likely have less lag than option #3 even with the $13 adapter since the wireless dongles for options #1 & #2 don't require the Pi to do any of the work in receiving any of the wireless signals and the manufacturers of #1 & #2 claim their wireless dongles are 100% lag free. The Pi will see #1 & #2 as if they are wired USB controllers.
   
   This is not an exhaustive list by any means - just a recommended one. For example, you can use $10 knock off PS3 controllers as well but you need them all to be a specific/identical type and you have to mess with drivers to get them to work right. Also, ANY controller that comes with a USB wireless dongle will work, but quality, number of buttons, response of analog sticks, battery life, etc will vary greatly from product to product.

The sooner you get into the game, the sooner you can learn it and figure out of you actually like it. It's probably cheaper now than it will be when UNICLR comes out, and the game will change, but not so drastically that your time in UNIST will have been totally wasted.

Most Fighting Games can deal with Direct Input devices like Sticks...unless they do not like the Unreal Engine based games.

Madcatz has own drivers for the PC too.

Hori should work right out of the box too.

No idea for the Razer Atrox or the Etokki and Qanba.

I cannot attest to the quality of Mayflash fight sticks. If you're looking at something like this then I'll say I bought something very similar for the PS2, I'm talking probably the same stick even, and the build quality was very poor. The buttons specifically were so stiff they were hard to press. I bought it and a converter to play a Wii fighting game, but the stick's quality bummed me out enough to quit. If I had played the game as much as I wanted, maybe the buttons would have loosened up... or maybe I would have accidentally broken the thing.

However a stick like that would work on PC. I mean, it would plug in, and the buttons and stick would function. It'd just be a cheap, potentially crappy/easily broken stick. I bought my PS2 stick like 6 years ago so maybe the build quality is better now.

If you want my recommendatiom, I'd buy a regular pad like the PS3/PS4 pad or 360/One pad. The idea that fighting games are best played on sticks is a myth; many pro players in every game use pad and dominate. Many theorize that pads are actually superior overall to sticks. In fact, the penultimate controller for fighters seems to be something called a "Hit Box" which replaces the stick entirely with buttons (very similar to a keyboard at that point). What it boils down to is using something comfortable... which I worry the mayflash stick won't be.

Anyways, I'd recommend a pad because they're just as good as sticks, if not better, and they can be used for multiple types of games. The best pad users seem to like the PS3 style pad, which would be the one I recommend since its the cheapest with a decent dpad... though, personally, when I use pad, I use the analog sticks. If you REALLY want a stick, the only quality ones I know of are in the $150 range... stuff like this. It's possible to buy a cheapo stick and upgrade it with nicer parts, and its not necessarily all that hard, but that's a lot of hoops to jump through to play DBZ.

The PS4 version was $106 several days ago the last time I checked on Amazon and there was a good seller on eBay that sold it for around $85 to $95 which is where I got it from. Personally, I wouldn't buy it not because it's used, but because of the price. From what I gathered, the Tekken 7 version is more of a collector's edition. It's usually more expensive than the regular RAP N and the SoulCalibur VI which because it was attached to a less popular game, is sold for less than the regular RAP N where except for not have these rubber mats under them, the same thing the Tekken 7 version lacks if I recall correctly, it's the same fightstick with a different art and case color. That is just me, though, if you really want a RAP N, like the Tekken 7 stock art, and are okay with the price, then sure.

Another "used" fightstick is the Rap 4 Kai which was mentioned by another user on Amazon. Amazon Warehouse currently has a "like new" offer for the Rap 4 Kai and it's $116.85. I've had good experiences with Amazon Warehouse, but there have been some misses like they sent me the wrong items. Not all that bad since you can just send it back and get a refund.

Someone else posted a thread about how the Razer Panthera Evo is on sale on their site and their eBay store for $140. The one issue with the Panthera Evo is that it can be difficult to install a Korean lever. You did not mention any 3D fighters like Dead or Alive, SoulCalibur, or Tekken, so it probably won't matter much, but in the future if you ever get into those, especially Tekken, or you really want to try out a Korean lever, then it could be a pain to install.

Hey all! I'm looking to get a fight stick for SFV, but I'm not too sure what I should be getting. I'm willing to spend ~$150 on it, and this stick is what my buddies recommended to me, and it seems to be my best choice from the searching I've done. Are there better options or is this a good option that I should go for?

With the PCB, five 24mm buttons, eight 30mm buttons, joystick, and USB wires/connector you're over $100 (that's without a touchpad, balltop, shaft sleeve, extra wires for the home/options/share/R2/R3 buttons, PCB harness, and shipping).

Then there's materials and time spent on a decent case - $20 to $30 I think would be reasonable.

In the end I can guarantee that you will save at most $10 if you built this from scratch. And that's if you spend almost nothing on the case.

I'm not trying to stop you from making you're own stick - I've done it and loved every minute. But honestly if saving money is the biggest concern, I think buying a prebuilt is the way to go. There's a reason that independent stick builders charge insane amounts of money for a custom project.

Those extra 2 buttons are for all punches and all kicks. You don't actually need them, as you can press all three buttons at once instead, but if you find that difficult to do, those buttons are useful for that.
You can also map other things to those buttons, like throws or whatever, if you want.

Honestly, learning to play with just 6 buttons from the get-go is pretty neat.

My only gripe with that stick is the size and weight of it. You'll want it to rest firmly on your lap/desk when you play. It should never ever move when you do sudden inputs.

I have this arcade stick, and the only gripe I had with that was the Kuro buttons on it, which I have switched out with Sanwa buttons. I recommend it, but know that it will take you a while to get used to a stick. You'll suck for days if not weeks.

Looks like Amazon still has this one in stock. I just picked it up last week and I'm happy with it - it's an improvement over my v3 Kai. I have been experiencing an issue playing on PC where it doesn't work unless I unplug the USB cable and plug it back in again, which is a minor annoyance. I haven't looked into a fix yet.

I would highly suggest to do NOTHING with those coins, at least not right away.

It sounds like you've been gone for a while, so I would suggest just playing as a preferred initially to get your bearings.

Take a couple days to figure out where you are, set up your UI, figure out if you want to continue with your existing characters or start over (you will probably want to start over anyway to get some of the freebies during the DvL event that is going on right now). The server you are on might be dead so figure out if you want to start over somewhere else.

After your get your bearings, you will want to use someone's referral link. The link will take you to your SWTOR account page and after you log in it will ask if you accept this person's referral. What will happen then is you will get 7 days of subscription access, along with a preferred friends bundle which every character you have or will ever create will always get. This is important because this gets you all 3 crew skills, an extra inventory module, I think the ability to display titles and one other thing (you can look on the sidebar for more information)

Finally after those 7 days you can decide if you want to subscribe for 1 month (this should unlock all the expansions and chapter 1-16 of KOTFE for you).

During this time you should just be playing and making money slowly. Don't unlock anything until your sub ends, but before your sub ends, every so often you should look in the GTN (auction house) for your account unlocks. Some of them you can buy with credits.

It was a year ago when I bought my Artifact Authorization (account) unlock, but I paid 8mil for mine (good luck finding one)

The Quickfire Rapid is a really good board that isn't overly expensive and is made with some really quality materials, not to mention everything is standard spacing, so any normal keycap set will fit. If you wanted RGB backlighting, the Masterkeys Pro S is pretty much the same board, but with those LEDs.

Edit: I should add that if you're willing to cut on quality of the board, there's other recommendations I can give, but CM makes some really good boards and they were within your budget.

I have my eye on the CM MasterKeys Pro S as my first mechanical keyboard but I'm having second thoughts because:

It's been a while since I played darkest dungeon but I remember the back touchscreen being very hard to use in that game. Was really fun.

I have this grip for my Vita 1000 and it's a good step up but somehow it has made me hit the back panel way more, which in some games is a problem. It's not a bad grip, especially for the price, but if you have a 2000, then I STRONGLY recommend the Hori grip with L2/R2 L3/R3 triggers. Your mileage may vary due to your connection speed but overall its a pretty decent experience on the vita. I've been running PS remote play on my vita, PC, and phone on a 100mbps/20mbps connection with only occasional hiccups at 720p streaming.

The biggest issue is the controls are a little tough as the l2 and r2 buttons are digital, so some weapons are harder than others to combo for sure. It's not comfortable for long sessions. Also the screen can be a touch hard to read in menus. I played MHFU on the PSP though and I'd still say that was harder to play control wise hah.

I'm looking at picking up one of these as they seem to have great reviews (there's a model for the 1000 as well).

You can not remap buttons on remote play which is annoying to say the least.

There are grip add-ons for the Vita like this one which do work great, but are useless if the developer decides to have L2/R2 mapped to the front screen instead of the back touch area.

I use it from time to time. Definitely wouldn't recommend going into a 24 man dungeon or even an eight man ex trial. But ya I've used mine to do PotD, daily quests, even dungeons. 2 things I will say is that the buttons kind of suck for it, so I bought an attachment for mine which gives me the r2/l2 and r3/l3, definitely helpful, if you dont want to invest in that: just put your main buttons on that first HUD, don't try to have multiple bars because its kind of a nightmare to play. And the script is hard to read, like during a cutscene, because the screen is just so small but if you dont mind that, then this will do fine!

If you want to use an actual stick, I'd say it's probably not worth getting the Alpha. Miniature sticks such as the Alpha and the Hori Fighting Stick Mini tend to be uncomfortable to use for extended periods of time, and are made using lower quality parts than full-size sticks. If you want a stick, the cheapest one I'd recommend would probably be the Qanba Carbon. I own one and it's a fairly nice stick for beginners. Technically it's not a PS4 controller, but Street Fighter 5 and a few other games support it in Legacy Mode. Check to see if the other fighting games you have support Legacy controllers. If they do, this is a great option for your price range. Otherwise, your next best bet is probably the Qanba Drone.

If you want a pad, the revamped fightpad pro is a good choice. I've never used one but the new model has gotten significantly better reviews than the problematic previous model. Personally I went with the Hori FC4, but the price has gone significantly up since that model isn't being manufactured anymore. The newer model is only $40 though, so that fits in your budget.

I'm personally not a fan of the Buffalo USB pad as the dpad is raised higher than an original snes controller which feels worse to me. The edges on it are unreasonably sharp for some odd reason so if you happen to play games with fast inputs (fighting games) your thumb is absolutely going to feel the difference.

If you're in the market for a good dpad controller, in general, I can't recommend the hori fighting commander enough. It's incredibly comfortable and has compatibility with a lot of games right out the gate.

The FC4 that you linked has an adjustable dpad which lead to reliability problems only a few months in for some people. the newer model doesn't have these problems and is very solid.

Have you ever had a stick? I have a Razer Panthera sitting on my desk collecting dust. It was great for SV5, but for Tekken I feel like the Hori Fighting Commander is superior.

Check out the Hori Fighting Commander (also has an XBox One version). I just started using it a few weeks ago while waiting for holiday sales on fightsticks, and found it to be an excellent gamepad. It isn't universal to other games because it doesn't have analog sticks, but for fighters it really does a great job.

Well the mini controller won't break your wallet at $30 ($20 on amazon right now). Unfortunately It would seem that it is PS4 only. The original PS3 Fighting Commanders are rare and if they suffer from the same issues as I experienced then I would avoid it. I just realized that they redesigned the PS4/3 Fighting Commander is the original design they used for the Hori Mini PS4 controller. So I would totally grab one new! ($40 no less)

I would highly recommend learning an arcade stick in the future as there seems to be much purchasing options for you. I did indeed come from an Arcade background. Well over 20 years ago my home console was a SEGA Saturn; so I had that perfect 6 button controller for games like Darkstalkers and Street Fighter Alpha (the saturn arcade stick is kind of a piece of shit). When the Dreamcast came out along with that lackluster controller for Fighting Games and I switch to the Hori/Agetec arcade stick. When the original Xbox came out I switched back to controller after trying every single Fight Stick that came out on it (pelican, Nuby, etc) and hated every single one of them.

Street Fighter 4 came out and Madcatz and Hori stepped up the game with making high quality and more importantly; available arcade sticks, so I never looked back.

IIRC a diamond ibuki player plays on keyboard so its not impossible.

My advice to you is to go into training mode and start practicing the motions. Quarter circle, Half circle, Z motion(Dp), etc etc until you feel comfortable doing them consistently. It will take time but eventually you will get it down.

But if you find it awkward still you can get a Hori pad for about $40 right now OR if stick is more of your thing you can get a Hori mini for about $40.

Remember that these will not make you any better at the game. It will take some time to get execution and timings down all while learning the basics of the game.

Is there any difference between a generic USB 3.0 to Ethernet adapter like this and the Hori product that is made specifically for the switch?

I want to get an ethernet adapter because I'm experiencing horrific lag on Street Fighter II. I'm hoping that the adapter will clean some of that up.

The only Halo with a pc port is the original halo 2 as Microsoft uses it as a selling point for Xbox. Although, the new games are coming to Windows but is being pushed through Windows own storefront for the time being.

Glad to hear. I think you made a great move. With the established base of PS4/PS4 Pros out there and the number of PSVR that have been sold already I can see how this wouldn't be a great platform for you to release on next.

If I can ask anything, see if you can get it to run with the Move Navigation Controler. At least as an option. I don't think enough games are using this device and I really think it would help with nausea during movement.

It's the one for the PS3. It remaps a few buttons from the controller (everything on the left side) onto a one-handed wand. It is one half of a pair of devices.

Thing is, not all console users adapt to using the keyboard portion of kbm. The PS move controller is a natural substitute for people who don't WASD, and works just as well with a mouse.

Could see if there's any guides in how to link a ps move navigation controller to pc (never tried myself but might work). It's got an analogue stick, a trigger and six buttons that could be mapped with xpadder...

I believe it was called a "PS4 Navigation Controller" I highly recommend learning to use a Keyboard as you cannot do things with the controller that you can do with a keyboard (ADAD Strafeing, etc).

I'm kinda the same way. Keyboard is still just a bit awkward for me, but I found an amazing solution:

For my mouse i have a great Logitech 700. Just great all around. Lots of buttons, which means left left hand work.

For the left hand however, I bought a Playststion Navigstion controller. It is basically the left half of a console controller with stick, DPad, 2 trigger buttons and a few other gen buttons. It is just IDEAL for me. All you need is the USB charging cable and/or Bluetooth. Just link it up and set a profile. It's super easy once it's set up!

As a bonus, the Move Controller and the 700s can also be programmed to emulate some keyboard buttons, meaning you can play older games that do not have joystick/controller capabilities.

I use a playstation navigation controller instead of a keyboard for most shooters.

You should try doing a ps3 move controller with mouse combo. It works really well, the only problem I had with it is that the ps3 control drivers eat your bluetooth so i had to do a system restore after every session. Other than that though it combines the best of both worlds

Playstation Camera, two Move controllers, and games that support them. The last bit is where you'll run into issues, as really there aren't any. PSVR will use them, Dreams will use them, and LittleBigPlanet 3 has limited uses for them, but other than that I honestly can't think of anything.

EDIT: And in case you're wondering, you do NOT need this.

These screen protectors and this hand grip work reasonably well as replacement accessories, as the only one made for the GPD XD (that I've found) is the soft case (which is pretty nice). They are not perfect fits, but get the job done.

Also, if you use your HDMI-out (mini-HDMI, not micro-HDMI) you'll want to power the device down, then plug in the cables, then power it back up or you'll have sync issues. You can also close the device while streaming video or games - it won't go to sleep but will turn the device's screen off.

Finally, the apps loaded on the system are all free versions of stuff on Google Play and the preloaded ROM/ISO selection leaves a bit to be desired but is a nice bonus. Anything more powerful than a Dreamcast isn't viable (and even that has performance issues on some titles). Pretty much every Android game I've thrown at it runs well too.

-edit- One last thing - there is no Bluetooth functionality, so have a microUSB adapter (and maybe 4-port hub) handy if you plan to do any multiplayer.

I felt even the 3DS-XL that we bought was a little uncomfortable for my large hands. I like being able to carry the game system in my pocket, but I'm thinking about trying one of these Amazon Link- to Comfort Grip by Dreamgear.

I've found the Dreamgear Comfort Grip to be the most comfortable.

It's a great case. I pulled it out at PAX East and my friends thought I was carrying around an N-gage. It looks hilariously too big to carry around but it's comfortable!

I actually have gone through three.

first I got the dreamgear and holding that one worked really well but i didn't like the material so much and it kept slipping off parts of the 3ds. plus it's also geared towards protection which I'm not too worried about so I returned that one

then I tried the cyber one which honestly felt the best overall to hold. I have pretty big hands and it just fit perfectly like an actual controller. But, for me at least the shoulder buttons were really hard to get to. The way my hands fit onto it, my fingers didn't rest on the shoulder buttons naturally, and trying to move them in the heat of the moment wasn't really working out.

so I returned that one, and picked up this one. I actually just got it today so I haven't gotten to try it out yet, but I've heard good things about it, and it seems like the best of both so here's hoping

I've purchased both of these products, and my favorite would have to be the 2nd link. However, I have a white version of it that i found on Ebay. The biggest flaw with it would be that you have no access to the Stylus. The first case however is a nice holding case also and you'll have access to everything, but i was just never a big fan of Silicon materials.

I use the bottom of this case when I know I'm going to be playing a while. It makes my 3DS XL much more comfortable to hold for long periods of time. It is a bit bulky on the bottom for the hand grips though. It's relatively easy to take on and off if needed as well.

I got this and it fixed all my issues. It's so fucking comfortable and smooth for my big unwieldy gorilla hands.

They do make the triggers "tighter" for lack of a better word. Some people like it, takes some getting used to.

It's basically the same price, but it includes a numpad. It doesn't have the arrow keys and numbers active at the same time so it's not perfect but its somewhere in between.

Well it has Kaihua Kailh switches not Cherry MX, it also advertises 16 million colors but can currently only do like... 16 or something, also the backlight is all or none, no different colors per key.

If you would like a TKL, cheap, with backlight I would suggest the CM Storm Quickfire TK

For a little bit more you can get the backlit version of the Quickfire Rapid the Quickfire Rapid-i

Another option would be a Ducky Shine 3 TKL or Ducky Zero Shine TKL.
