For the past seven months, my growing collection of affordable watches has been living in a cheap set of plastic drawers. It worked, but it was sub-optimal. The other day I looked up watch boxes on a whim, and I found this one for about $35 on Amazon with Prime! It has a faux leather finish, a very rudimentary lock, a glass display lid, and a drawer under the watch pockets where I can keep my straps and tools. A very welcome upgrade! And when I get more watches, I suppose some rearranging (or selling) will be in order. I'll cross that bridge when I come to it...

I decided my collection was finally at a point where it was stable enough to do a little photo shoot. I have linked the album with all the pictures, but I will break them down into a little more detail below. Let me know if you have any questions and I will do my best to get you an answer/link. A couple I will knock out right off the bat; my wrist size is ~7.25” and my watch box can be found HERE. Enjoy!

• Seiko SNDA65: WATCH | WRIST: You’ll notice my collection is very situational. I don’t like to have more than one watch from the same brand and I don’t like to have more than one watch in the same category. This watch fills two categories: my chronograph and my PVD. Size is 43x11x50mm with 22mm lugs. This is my largest watch, but it really wears great. It seems much smaller than the Nighthawk on the wrist. You see it here on a GasGasBones ZeroZero nylon/Velcro strap. I think the color of the strap goes perfectly with the PVD and the orange leather even compliments the orange hands nicely. This is my only non-sapphire watch.
  
  
• Citizen Nighthawk BJ7010-16F: WATCH | WRIST: Originally I had the PVD version of this watch and I really liked it, but when I found the white chapter ring version I just had to have it. Size is 41x12.5x46mm with 22mm lugs. This watch wears larger than size since it is 99.9% dial and it is also quite thick (by my standards), but the short lug-to-lug balances it out. I had the mineral crystal replaced with AR treated sapphire (pressure tested as well upon completion) and I love how it turned out. You see it here on a Di-Modell Pilot strap which just came in this week. I really like this strap, extremely high quality and great fit.
  
  
• Omega Seamaster Pro 212.30.41.20.01.002: WATCH | WRIST: I bought this watch new in box on eBay and believe I got an exceptional deal on it. This is kind of a rare model as it has the 2500D Co-Axial movement, but with the aluminum bezel/wave dial as opposed to the ceramic bezel/solid dial. I really wanted the 2500D, but I also wanted to stay true to the original “Bond” design and am so happy I found this watch. Size is 41.5x12x46mm with 20mm lugs. I have it on the OEM Seamaster rubber strap as I just can’t get the bracelet to fit properly without micro-adjustments. The rubber strap is amazing, most comfortable watch/strap combo I’ve ever worn.
  
  
• Stowa Flieger: WATCH | WRIST: Great story behind this watch. I was obsessed with getting the manual wind ETA-2801 version of the Flieger, but Stowa had recently discontinued that option as I was told they needed all the movements for the Black Forest LE. So I tried private sales; missed a couple, one wouldn’t ship international, one just wasn’t quite what I wanted. Finally, I emailed Stowa one last time before settling for the automatic version and I must have been wearing my lucky underwear that day because the last…THE LAST 2801 no logo/no date Flieger order they accepted had backed out when it was time to pay the day before! They said it was mine if I wanted and it would ship within the week. Well obviously I threw my money at them and about a week later I had my dream watch. Size is 40x10x48.5mm with 20mm lugs. I got this valet box recently and absolutely love it. Keeps my watches stored neatly, easy removal for winding them, keeps dust off stuff, and lets me organize eyeglasses, sunglasses, collar stays (Wurkin Stiffs, so good), pocketknives.

I use this one (CASEBUDi) and it works pretty well. I like that it’s a hard case, gives me the peace of mind. It is a bit narrow for bigger watches and the little foam pieces do move around a bit, but overall I really like it.

Great collection! If you aren't wearing it and don't have sentimental attachment to it why not just sell the SARB? In my opinion less is more when it comes to a collection; especially when you have 3 watches that can cover any situation.

Generic answer:

• The budget approach is a cigar box and some microfiber cloths.
  
  
• A nice valet tray also works. You can find cheap ones on amazon, or you can go to etsy for some nicer leather or wood ones.
  
  
• Some mid-range boxes are this 6-piece Wolf box or this 10-piece one. Note that these use faux leather, but they've held up well (I have one that's over 2 years old, and another that's over a year old). Whatever you do, don't get a box with magnets in the lid or elsewhere. If you search amazon, you can find lots of cheap alternatives.
  
  
• If you really want to go all-out, you can get some nice custom wood boxes on etsy, like these. However, less-expensive options also exist there.
  
  

It was actually just a 6 watch. But they do make a version of 12. I've been looking for the lv watch roll but haven't had any luck. I don't use this watch box any more since I've reduced the amount of rep watches I have also. Pick up 1 gen and kept a few high end reps. 6 watch box

This Wolf box is nice and ticks all your boxes except price. I have the 5 slot version and it’s well made.

The BP looks good, 2824 is a real workhorse and if anything happens to it, it's easy enough to have someone swap in a real 2824. Good choice! Ryan's a great guy, too.

My one suggestion would be that if you're going to get more watches, pick up an actual watch box or folio-style case so that you can store them all together and look over them to figure out what you want to wear -- having rep boxes for every watch can be neat in the beginning but they're just big.

If you want to try a gen on for a size, the Orient Kamasu is an AMAZING deal for the pricetag and looks pretty slick.

I have one of these and it has worked well for me.

I found these cases while doing some online shopping this weekend and decided to give it a shot. I wanted something I could use to store my watch when traveling and this seems like it’ll be perfect. It’s a hardshell case with a bulge on one end to fit around the watch case and a donut-like indentation in the middle to keep the watch nice and snug. It even has enough space to also fit a spare strap along with my mini strap-tool and a microfiber cloth. I picked out the smaller one that is recommended for watches up to 38mm, however there is also a larger one made. Here is the link on amazon for anyone interested.

Up until today I've been keeping my watches in various drawers and on top of random surfaces, but not anymore! Now I have a watch case.

Overall I really like it, especially for around $20. I wish the pillows would fit more snugly in their compartments and I wish that the latch would consistently catch, but these are minor complaints.

Some good things about the case: it feels really solid, it can store 12 watches, the faux leather is well done, the linen band that holds the case open won't snap anytime soon, and the glass is scratch free.

Also pictured is my entire watch collection (minus my SNK809 which is on my wrist).

Honestly I'd just go on Amazon and window shop for a case you'd like. I found one with a display window for 18$ and it sits on my dresser. I agree about the winder. It's not that much trouble to set the watch you will wear the night before or morning of.

There are watch boxes for men that hold a few watches and whatever else you like. They are usually not super cheep but they look nice and keep things nice and organized. Look up watch boxes and you should be able to find one for a decent price.

I’m also brand new and haven’t actually taken the step to solve this myself.
BUT
I have a case I carry my MTG decks in that would probably solve this problem beautifully.
It’s an Incicta Watch case, waterproof, latches, locks, and comes with a foam insert, can probably fit all but the biggest models if you cut out the foam to fit, and foam is generally cheap at a craft store.

Found it on amazon for pretty cheap. I like that the dividers are removable so I can use the extra space for straps and other accessories.
