This is the greatest belt ever. The clasp and velcro let you get it super tight. I recommend this to everyone that I hear is looking for a belt.

Dip belts work well with kettlebells. I'm not 100% certain how the one in your link holds weight, this amazon listing is a more conventional design, and one photo even features a kettlebell. I think the one in your link is probably basically the same. I think the wide part wraps around the entire body, and the kettlebell would hang from the narrower nylon strap. Most have chain instead of nylon, but the round handle of a kettlebell would fray the nylon less than the squarish edge of a weight plate.

I've got 2 $50 amazon giftcards and I'm looking to buy a new lifting belt. What are your guys' thoughts on this: Inzer Belt 10MM

u/Exodus111 · 3 pointsr/bodyweightfitness

Weighted Vest is only good if you are running or hiking with it.

For regular workouts, as others have said, go for the dip belt, far faster and easier to put on and adjust. As in,it takes no time at all.

Great for both dips and Pull-Ups, but make sure you are doing perfect form first, as adding weight will increase the chance of injury.
With both I suggest starting at 10 or 20kg added weight, and work your way up from there.

>So go with Adidas with the heel?

Adidas, Nike, or a different brand you like. But you should go with a weight lifting shoe with a heel.

I would not get this. Nylon belts aren't a good idea heavy lifts as they can come undone.

Oh my gosh! I was mostly just whining but I really appreciate this thoughtful response.

I got this, which is 4”: https://www.roguefitness.com/rogue-echo-lifting-belt
A woman at my gym had me try out hers recently, which was this or similar: https://darkironfitnessstore.com/products/dark-iron-fitness-genuine-leather-weight-lifting-belt
I thought from how that felt that I would prefer something thicker but the one I got was maybe a bridge too far.

From a quick glance at your post history, I think I couldn’t have asked for a better fit of someone to have thoughts on this. I started doing powerlifting-directed strength training a little under half a year ago. Just recently got my 1x bodyweight squat, figured that’s as good a point as any to get some basic equipment.

So yeah, maybe I need to try again with a better fit and perhaps not quite a thick of a leather belt. Or I ran across this nylon one, it’s aimed more at a CrossFit audience but sounds more comfortable to get used to. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07P14QQMN/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_awdb_t1_LwhpDb97G0BWE

This one has X-Small and goes down to 23''

If that's not small enough, it's leather so you could just drill extra holes for her.

I have the cheap Harbinger dip belt with the chain. It has worked well for weighted pull-ups and dips, but the chain is not good for belt squats. A loaded chain running across your thigh or pubic region hurts.

I considered going with the Spud Inc Belt Squat Belt, but it doesn’t have a posterior loop. It’d be fine if you go with a loading pin or landmine setup for belt squats. If I decide to try that method, I’ll probably grab this belt.

IronMind Hip Belt has loops for anterior and posterior attachments, but I didn’t want to invest $150 until I found the right setup.

Brute Belt offers the ability to load from the front and back, and it’s cheap. This is what I’m using for now, and it’s sufficiently comfortable for me. No sharp pains that one would experience with a chain belt.

I may eventually get the Spud and/or the IronMind belts to see if they’re significantly better and worth the extra cost. I’ll update you if and when that happens.

u/GreenGainsGoblin · 2 pointsr/Fitness

You're correct, but a lot of people seem to thing a belt is a tool to help keeping your back straight rather than a way to increase intraabdominal pressure by having something to push against.

Nylon belts and heavy lifting belts aren't really comparable, you'd be better off getting a budget leather belt and upgrading later, something like this https://www.amazon.com/Leather-Power-Weight-Lifting-Belt/dp/B00JFNY5OU/ref=sr_1_11?ie=UTF8&qid=1480240766&sr=8-11&keywords=lifting+belt

u/whatahoser · 2 pointsr/xxfitness

Why are you getting downvoted? I have this belt and DL>2.3x my bodyweight and it hasn't failed me yet. My tiny torso doesn't fair well with thick leather belts, cutting into my ribcage and whatnot. I bought this belt in an XS and it fits like a dream and it's sooo comfortable! I find it provides more than enough support :)

EDIT: Whoops, mine is slightly different, but still Harbinger.

u/spike_africa · 2 pointsr/crossfit

Are you using the leather style ones with the holes punched in it for the metal pins? IF so you can usually punch another one or two sets of holes in them if you are slimmer then the size you need.

If not, I got my GF this one and she loves it.

http://www.amazon.com/Harbinger-Womens-5-Inch-Foam-Lifting/dp/B00B1MXADU

I followed their sizing chart, and read through some comments other girls left and got a perfect fit for her. She is small. 5'3 and 125lbs I got her a small and it fits great. She could almost of gone one size down. She loves it and uses it all the time for squats, deads etc..

u/BradleyFartman · 2 pointsr/weightroom

This is some what of a stupid question, but what better place to ask than the daily thread?

Anyway, I just recently ordered my first Inzer forever belt and i have heard mixed opinions on sizing. If i fit into a Large Valeo Belt with a little room left, would i fit into an inzer Large 13 mm 2 prong belt?

u/CalvinHobbes · 2 pointsr/Fitness

Nylon

Leather

I think these are what you are looking for?

u/leanloser · 2 pointsr/leangains

Pay $20 more to get a nice leather one that will last forever (i.e. one that won't break once you go above 90lbs). I like this one and have been using it for years:
http://www.amazon.com/Champion-Heavy-Duty-Leather-Belt/dp/B000BR3Z22/

However the chain was a tiny bit short for me (45lb plates would brush against my balls) so I had to extend it with a large carabiner (hell, you could probably just get a pack of carabiners and extend it that way if you have a wider waist--mine is ~31")

u/PJRolls · 2 pointsr/powerlifting

Are either of these legit? I don't plan on competing. Just want a good belt for $100 as it's for a Holiday Gift thing with a $100 cap.

Thanks in advance to anyone that can shed some light on this. Just want something better than the old-school prong belt I have now. Was told 10mm lever is the way to go. These seem ok?

Strength Shop Canada seems to be all out of stock of my size 10mm belts so I took to Amazon to check some out

Thanks!

So go with Adidas with the heel?

Thanks

For nearly the same price, he could just get a dip belt. Especially to someone who has a homegym, $16 is worth it.

u/yalarual · 1 pointr/xxfitness

This belt is great and affordable.

u/the_0rly_factor · 1 pointr/homegym

I have this:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01LXZMYB9/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1

It works fine, no complaints. Says 300lb weight limit. Doubt I'll ever test that lol.

When it comes to belts this is my favorite so far: Dark Iron Leather Belt

For sleeves I like Nordic. Definitely getting my money's worth there. Well built and aren't falling apart like my other sleeves were.

Use a weight belt. Personally, I use the Brute Belt. You can use dumbbells between your legs when you first start but they become difficult to hold as you increase in weight.

u/Acatalepsia · 1 pointr/Fitness

What should I look for in a weightlifting belt? My OHP is inching towards my body weight and I noticed increasing difficulties keeping my torso and lower back tight, and I think it's putting some bad tension on my lumbar.

https://www.amazon.com/Harbinger-Leather-Contoured-Weightlifting-XX-Large/dp/B001OJ1WQC/ref=sr_1_28?ie=UTF8&qid=1536597363&sr=8-28&keywords=weightlifting&th=1&psc=1

Will this do the trick?

u/Penguuinz · 1 pointr/xxfitness

I reallllly like this one by Valeo! I've had it for years and it's always been comfortable.

u/PM_ME_BOOBPIX · 1 pointr/Fitness

Weightlifting Belt? Yea or nay?

I've been lifting for about 18 months now, good progress on my Squat and DL, I see a few lifters at my gym using a belt, should I?

I was looking at Amazon and this is one of the bestseller. Alternative this one too.

Data:

  • BW: 205 lbs
  • DL: 405 lbs
  • Squat: 310 lbs
  • Goal: looking good naked
  • Sex: yes, AMRAP
  • Gender: M
u/smurf_diggler · 1 pointr/Fitness

I don't know what are these other people are talking about, but I use this one, It good and stiff and after you break it in works well. I used it for some 5-6 years now maybe.

u/FateOrFiction · 1 pointr/bodybuilding

This is the standard D1 weightlifting belt. *So I just read the reviews and it seems valeo really dipped in quality since I bought mine. But you get the idea, just look up similar weight lifting belts on amazon.

u/MF_wm · 0 pointsr/bodybuilding

Has anybody had experience with buying Inzer products off of Amazon? I have my eye on this belt in particular but I'm not sure if it's legit or not. Any help is appreciated

Cheap shitty belt I bought at the shoe repair store that was at the plaza I used to work at, cost me 15 dollars.
