$295 is a ridiculous amount to pay for Wayfarers... Their suggested retail price may be that much, but their street price is far lower.

For example, Amazon regularly sells them for <80$. Here

Granted, that is the USA Amazon website, but they will still ship internationally. While shipping and applicable taxes/duties/customs are annoying, they will be a far better deal than what you got at Sunglass Hut.

That said, you should probably see if your warranty covers the problems with the sunglasses. Best of luck.

I can vouch for this other pair of Clubmaster knockoffs They're polarized, at the same quality level as the video review OP posted, and only $5.56 shipped. All it took to find them was sifting through the Amazon reviews for about 20 minutes, and I'm super happy with the glasses.

At this point, I don't see why I'd pay twice that to buy from Oldley, when I could get two for the price of one which would give me an error margin for a dud pair. What we really should do is have a cheapo glasses review page where FMF'ers can review in detail the quality of glasses like the one /u/ZackMorris78 linked to and the one I posted above.

I have had a pair of the ones in the first link for close to a year and they've held up very well. Meanwhile, I have crunched more than one very expensive pairs of glasses. I figure that even if I break 5 pairs, it's still less than buying a full priced pair.

I have had these for the past 2 years and I still love them. I believe that roundish glasses with slim frames like these will be en vogue. Love the Dior one's you've posted and they fall into that same category.

I've got prescription glasses with photochromic lenses. They're on my face from dawn to dusk and I hang 'em from an attic loop in my tent at night. But, I'm old and can get away with looking like a douchebag.

I suspect that you won't be happy with the protection of a neoprene case. But, you might give a flying fisherman a look (68g and you can chop off that hook to save some gs).

I don't like selfies so I use my gorillapod combined with my Bluetooth remote to take pictures like if someone else take it. I place my gorillapod as a tripod or hanged on a branche, then I use my Bluetooth remote to take the picture from where I am.

I use the small version of the gorillapod for phone. I didn't know the ultrapod and it seems very nice! The problem in my case is that I have to buy a phone adapter because the ultrapod is only for cameras, and I just use my phone to take pictures.

There are the New Wayfarers that are smaller than the Orginal Wayfarers.

I got sunglasses frames (since they were more stylish than the prescription options I found), then took them to the eye doctor's place and had the lenses replaced with prescription ones. Link to the ones I got.

Sunglass hut and Ray-Ban are both owned by Luxotica so they are fine. But Amazon will be cheapest because aside from sales, they both charge full retail. Here is a example of How cheap rayban are on amazon. Sunglass hut and Ray Ban direct would both charge full price ($130)

Someone I know bought a pair of these, not because she believed they would give her "HD Vision" (whatever the hell that means), but because they fit over her glasses and played nicely with peripheral vision. They were also dirt cheap.

These are kind of similar and pretty inexpensive.

You can always go Amazon depends on the type you're looking for but they are sold by Ray-Ban itself and are much cheaper then if you get it on their site.

Ray Bans I bought. I applied a 20% off code I received by subscribing to Amazon clothing a few weeks back which I found on a deal posted on this sub.

Do sunglasses count? I sat on my last pair with heart shaped frames and wanted to cry. I like sunglasses, they protect my super sensitive eyes.

Went through this a couple months ago. Purchased legit frames for ~$80 on Amazon. I called around to check for high index lenses(strong prescription) and everybody wanted $250-$300 to make them. Called Costco, they charged $100 plus $18 to set the lenses in the frame. Even after purchasing the $55 annual membership fee, I still spent less than I would have anywhere else. The lenses came with free anti-glare and reflective coating, something that was an extra $30+ anywhere else.

First off, just be aware that those can be had for half the price on Amazon or other places.

Is there any reason you want the Tom Ford ones in particular? You can get polarized Ray Ban Clubmasters for half of Amazon's Tom Ford price.

With both of those options you're really just paying for the name. Probably better off with a pair of Persol PO3132S or something if you like the Clubmaster style. If you're seriously willing to spend $400 on a pair of sunglasses you should be doing some more research and buying from a smaller, handmade company.

Look around in the suggestions, you can get some for as cheap as $3. The cheaper the better. You're going to lose those glasses during a festival

You could try some Ray-Ban New Wayfarers. I just picked up a pair from amazon that were on sale.

If you are looking for these exact glasses on the low, I would check out Amazon.com for about $90. Then you can bring it in to a eye shop and they can install the lenses for you.

Amazon has Wayfarers right around the $100 mark shipped directly from Ray-Ban (or $85 if you like the tortoiseshell/brown colorway). Some 3rd-party retailers on there, too, but I'd be wary of fakes, personally.

Also, eBay deals almost always has a deal on authentic R-Bs.

I paid $180 for them. They're still listed at the price - if you include currency and shipping. So I'd sell them for $110-120 ono. Yeah they're genuine, they're from a trusted amazon seller.

I recently got a pair of Aluminum Clubmasters from Amazon, and they seem VERY sturdy. They're spendy, but I feel like they will last. Amazon comments seem very positive, and they are "cheap" right now per camelcamelcamel.
