The U-Scan provides DIYers (Do It Yourselfers) with access to their vehicle diagnostics using their smartphone. Developed by the manufacturers of DIY and professional diagnostic scan tools, U-Scan provides essential information to help DIYers fix their vehicle quickly and easily while saving money. It works wirelessly through your iPhone, iPod and Android smartphones by simply downloading the free U-Scan application, plugging the U-Scan into the vehicle port (usually found underneath the steering column) and then instantly connecting your smartphone to your vehicle.

The U-Scan application features QuickCheck which allows you to read codes and definitions, erase codes and turn off the check engine light and also view I/M monitors (emissions). Other features are AutoLink which automatically identifies almost 2000 and newer vehicles, TrueLink which guarantees to link to all 1996 and new vehicles, Vehicle Active Log which provides a history of vehicle tests and procedures and MyGarage which gives you the ability to manage vehicles for easy access.

If you want to know more than just the basic information, you can get advanced application features to read and graph live data sensors, RPMs, coolant temperature and more for a faster diagnosis. You can also get access to the ABS brake codes and definitions related to the ABS warning light for most 1996 and newer GM, Ford, Chrysler, Honda, Hyundai, Nissan and Toyota vehicles. CodeConnect which includes over 4.3 million top reported fixes that can tell you what is wrong with your vehicle is also available to use with U-Scan on your smart phone. U-Scan works with all cars and light trucks 1996 and newer (OBD II and CAN).
