Nike and the OHSU Doernbecher Children’s Hospital paid tribute to 2012 Doernbecher Freestyle Program patient Isaac Arzate with the release of his Air Jordan 5 Retro.
The Swoosh brought to life a design that represented Isaac’s vision and everything that mattered most to him in life. The Air Jordan 5 Retro features a black-based upper with words of a poem in black light ink, which Isaac wrote just a day before he passed. Isaac’s baseball and basketball numbers are also represented on each shoe, along with glow-in-the-dark details and Isaac’s initials, his birthday and the date of his passing on the inside tongue tag.
Release year: 2013
