Basin Mod Dish

The Basin Mod Dish is of generous proportions, offering the opportunity to fill it with a cornucopia of desert plants, decorative items or a colorful display of delectable fruit. This Mod Dish honors the Deschutes River Basin, the lifeblood of Central Oregon, which is near the home of Designer Shannon Lester.

Shannon realizes how important water resources are to a prosperous life, especially in dry, desert climates like hers. Steel Life’s metal dishes are individually spun by one set of hands with the use of machinery that dates back to the early 1900s. Planter stands are made of locally, salvaged and up-cycled metal.

Landscape design visionary, Shannon Lester, places great importance on using American-made, raw or salvaged materials whenever possible and tries to support the Pacific Northwest’s economy by working directly alongside her team of local artisans
