The Roman Fort is the perfect full cat setup. It gives cats two sisal rope-covered poles to climb and scratch, hammocks to stretch and lounge on, and a ladder to get up and down with. The planks at the tops of the poles are covered in two layers of burlap fabric, so that cats can sink their claws in and get to the top.
Enriching cats’ environment with an interactive piece such as theRoman Cat Fort is a great way to stimulate feline minds and improve behavior issues. Since we started mounting cat furniture with sisal poles in our home, our cats haven’t scratched one piece of our own furniture.

This piece comes assembled, but requires mounting on a wall. It is mounted among four wall studs, spaced 16? apart. All of the brackets come attached for easy installation. Our furniture also comes with all necessary screws and drywall anchors to install into studs.
If your studs are spaced differently or you do not want to use studs, you can also mount the shelving up using 1/8” x 2” Toggle Bolts to sturdily mount our shelving into drywall. These Toggle Bolts would need to be separately purchased.
