The 14k gold filled chain is 0.7mm and is finished with gold filled components and lobster clasp. gold plated vs. gold filled: gold plated: “This is a method of covering another type of metal with a very thin, almost microscopic, film of pure gold by electroplating it.” This strengthens the metal, making it less vulnerable to damage.
