Here’s another favorite of ours… The Garland Light lampshades by Tord Boontje for Artecnica.
All you need is a light bulb hanging down from the ceiling and this wonderful ‘lamp shade’ will clip right onto the base of the bulb and then it’s all up to you. The mesmerizing Garland Light is made out of one continuous metal strand with delicately etched floral patterns – that is then wrapped around the light bulb and can be shaped into practically any form.
Like it bigger and bolder? Combine a couple Garlands to create larger shades that leave an even bigger impression… When you take it out of the flat box it is about 23″ x 15″ (59 x 39 cm) and flat like paper… but once you get your creativity going, it can be anything and almost any size you imagine…
Simply mesmerizing!
