Either way this is a great hand embroidery project for people new to the hobby. You can keep the design super easy and simply outline the elements. Or, if you are ready to spend some time with your hoop you can fill in the elements and get lots of great practice with satin stitch. There are only 3 skeins of floss to keep track of so this is one of those projects you can easily toss in your bag and pull out when you find a moment to sneak in a few stitches.
