Herbal Propolis Salve can be applied to cuts, scrapes, bruises, insect bites, and severely dry skin. We start with pure olive oil and infuse it with propolis, mullein, and comfrey. Propolis is a sticky resin collected by our honeybees, used to keep the hive free from bacteria and unwanted pests. The bees gather the propolis and seal any open hole or crack in the hive. We then scrape the propolis from the hive and infuse it in olive oil over several months, straining it out and using it in this herbal salve. Together with olive oil infused with the herbs of mullein and comfrey, it creates a salve that can be used on the skin to promote healing. We finish it by adding a touch of tea tree essential oil, which adds great antibacterial benefits and helps take the itch away from insect bites. Each tin contains 1 oz of salve.
