The first thing i want you as a customer to know is Honeyville’s Gold Honey is gathered, bottled, and sold by me, a Wewahitchka Bee Keeper right here in Wewahitchka, Fl. The home of the world Famous Tupelo Tree, where this beautiful Honey comes from. i am a small time Bee Keeper with huge dreams and only one goal. That goal is to make the worlds best Tupelo Honey. i believe i have achieved this, with this crop of Tupelo Honey this year! Here is a little history about myself. i have been a lifelong resident of Wewahitchka, Fl all my life. i went back and made Tupelo Honey the “old fashion way, the right way” the way my ancestors made honey over 100 years ago! i made a floating barge and had my Bee Hives put on and i floated them down the river, where the Tupelo Trees grew the thickest and that’s where it was anchored, under those huge Tupelo Trees for 6 weeks to collect this beautiful honey! (This is why Tupelo Honey is the most rare and sought after Honey in the world, because the Tupelo trees only bloom 2/5 weeks once a year,) My Honey is made, bottled, and sold by myself right here in Honeyville, Fl. a suburb if you can even say that of Wewa lol. (Yes we are a suburb named after the honey bee, hence the name!) It is straight from the hive to you! The Tupelo Honey has been bottled in 1900’s bottles to give it that “throwback look”. These are the same types of bottles that were used over 100 years ago when Tupelo honey was first bottled. Here is a little history how Tupelo Honey is made. The bees gathered the nectar from these small round balls and created this light, delicious and flavorful honey. These buds are on the trees for a few short weeks in April and by the middle of May, they are gone. Genuine Tupelo is light gold and will not granulate like other honey. Because of its low glucose and high fructose levels, it is healthier, and certainly, a tastier choice for honey bees and honey lovers alike! The Tupelo Honey that i am selling here on Etsy is not just bought in bulk like all the other honey on here and just slapped with “a Company Label” that says Tupelo Honey because “they say it came from the panhandle area where Tupelo is made.” My Tupelo was harvested from the Tupelo Trees growing along the riverbanks and the sloughs of the Apalchicola River in Wewahitchka, Fl. (Home of the World Famous Tupelo Tree, where this beautiful honey comes from) It is as pure, unfiltered, and as natural as “opening up a hive and dipping your hand in and across the honey comb”. My honey has not been processed or heated in any way. Straight from the hive to the bottle! My 87 year old Aunt who has been a Tupelo honey lover for decades has proclaimed, “This Tupelo honey taste like no other”. i hope that you will agree and tell your family and friends about my product!
