Smart controls include painting with light (choose from 16 million colors), syncing with music (3rd party apps like Hue Disco) and your TV, light schedules and alarms, away-from-home control for security and scene-saving to re-use your favorite color combinations. Use other 3rd party apps like IFTTT to create fun rules like turning on team colors when their games are about to start or turning your lights a certain color as a notification when your weather app switches to “rain”.
The only battery-powered Hue product that you can take anywhere around the house. Battery life up to 3 hours. The lamp also works while it is charging (charger included) for longer uses. Can be laid flat as a centerpiece or used at angle for a bedside lamp or reading.
*In order to use this product with smart control, you must have a Hue bridge. If you do not already own a bridge, please select the option to purchase the 2 items together. Without a bridge, you can control 5 preset colors by pressing the button on the back of the lamp or cycle through all 16 million colors and stop on the desired color by quickly pressing the button and then holding it down right after.
