Kai Table. Puzzle box storage cabinet.

You might be fooled by the Kai Table but don’t believe it’s just a slab of wood. Inspired by himitsubako traditional Japanese puzzle boxes, you can transform this piece of wood into a series of storage spaces.

The panels slide and the drawers open, revealing a feast of varying spaces in which to keep all the sundry items of daily life. In need of some secret compartments? Can’t find the right sized place for that strange thingamajig? Then this is the furniture for you.

Made to order, the Kai Table is a brilliant all-purpose unit is an excellent way to tidy up a cluttered work area or desk… or to hide things from prying eyes.

A quasi-multi-cabinet with a bevy of mini chambers and sections, you can also close it all up and simply use it as a mini table too. Designed by Naoki Hirakoso and Takamitsu Kitahara, the Kai Table has wowed everyone for years now.
