Mirror Mask

Reviewed by

Chen Chen and Kai Williams’ Mirror Masks are just pieces of glass painted with a few simple shapes, but because our brains are hard-wired to read the feelings that lie behind facial expressions, they still manage to invoke emotion.the designers actually first conceived the mirror masks as more elaborate, tribal designs, but ultimately pared back to the emoji-like trio after they noticed the powerful anthropomorphizing effect. We found it interesting that three abstract marks are instantly recognizable as a face, says Chen, noting that their emotional resonance is only amplified when you glimpse your own reflection in them. Available in three models, yes, no, and maybe, or as a set of all three. a small keyhole is milled into the back for easy hanging on a screw. Hardware included.
