This Swiss Hiker inspired boot is a combination of Thorocraft’s bold graphic woven textile on the toe and tongue paired with their luxe smooth nubuck leather. Unlike a traditional hiker, the Monte Rosa is constructed on a more refined last, giving it a much sleeker appearance than a traditionally bulky hiker boot.
Buttery smooth pigskin leather and cotton blend textile lines the inside of the boot, while their signature raw, un-dyed Vachetta leather heel cap is stitched to the back to gain the unique character of the wearer and look better over time.
The Outsole is crafted from a proprietary rubber foam compound with rubber lugs containing small flakes of ground rice husks to reduce the amount of material and provide a lighter outsole that is still durable and comfortable. Their full-length footbed utilizes premium breathable latex foam for soft cushioning and comfort.
Upon completion, each shoe is thoroughly inspected and only after meeting their strict construction requirements will Thorocraft’s signature copper rivet be set as the seal of approval and their mark of quality.
