Kintsugi – the ancient Japanese practice of ceramic repair, celebrates a vessels imperfections by re-joining it’s parts with gold dust and resin – highlighting the cracks and repairs as formative parts of an object’s history.

In collaboration with ceramicist Brock Deboer, Moonshot VS.004 parallels this philosophy, allegorically memorializing the challenges of an athlete’s journey by constructing, destroying and repairing a porcelain basketball with this storied process.

The ball is 9” in diameter, comes with acrylic stand.
