We love carabiners for all sorts of uses and we were excited about making one that worked for the day clip-and-carry but could also serve the often more pressing need of charging your phone. What differentiates your product from similar products out there?
NomadClip is the first and only carabiner charging cable. And it’s both truly a carabiner and a charging cable (though it’s not made for climbing)—it’s made with a tough, precision cut, stainless steel core.
Tell us about the best and most challenging parts of the creation process.
It was a difficult product design challenge to maintain the look of a traditional carabiner while also integrating a standard USB cable. We had to go through a lot of variations to find just the right shape without sacrificing functionality of the carabiner or the cable.
