This beautiful folds away into the mammoth bone handle – the blade is genuine hand forged and ground Damascus steel – hardened to 58-59RC. Size is 6 inches when folded and hidden. The overall length when open is 8.5 inches. Blade/cutting edge length is a fraction under 3 inches. Made using simple techniques in an ancient style, no locks or springs are used in the construction of the Peasant.
The long “tail” type tang (which make it easy to pull from the soft leather belt pouch/sheath) folds into the handle and is held securely in position by your grip, along with the compression of the handle scales. Our knife range is manufactured from high quality European materials by an excellent UK manufacturer in small batches; they are NOT churned out in their thousands in a factory in the Far East unlike some other sellers here on Amazon.
