Penguin paperback 1940s gardening book Soft Fruit Growing gift for gardeners by Raymond Bush. This volume deals with strawberries, raspberries, currants, figs, tomatoes, nuts and even mushrooms. It contains some illlustrations by the author and a clump of photographic illustrations in the middle. The 200 pages are rather tanned. The covers are discoloured particularly at the spine but it remains tightly bound. The sage green bands denote penguin handbooks, orange for fiction, deep blue for biography. This is a Penguin Handbook and is the 1948 revised edition.
