The ceramic is glazed inside to hold water for live flowers as well! ~ Personalization is done with an outdoor grade decal application, same as put on vehicles that holds up against inclimate weather and windshield wipers; this jug design, in the same way, withstands to washing and weather and years. Its created to be a piece that can last through the generations. i do not use paint on these as the paint would very easily chip off of the ceramic and the quality of your item would diminish greatly. Engraving is not offered on these since the curvature of the jug would cause the personalization design to warp and mis-shape on the jug.
