Originally created for Knoll in 1945 by Ralph Rapson, a young architect / designer who, like the Eameses, gained notice from the Case Study House project. The upholstery fabric is Douglas Industries Woolen Images Sherpa and Shire line. Sherpa and Shire upholstery are made of Marquesa Lana which is a polyolefin. This fabric looks like a wool and is exceptionally tough and stain resistant.26.25″ wide side-to-side, 35″ high, and 33.25″ deep front-to-back.
