Seamus and Abbie- A Webcomic About Depression

“Seamus and Abbie” is a web-comic I have been creating for 2 1/2 years now, and is very near and dear to my heart. This story is more than just a simple comic, but rather a story in which readers become totally emotionally invested in the characters. You’ll laugh, you may cry, or you may even do both at once. Either way, this comic will definitely put a smile on your face.

“Why Should I Invest in a ‘Slice-of-Life’ comic? Sounds pretty ordinary to me…”

I fully understand how new-comers to this story may think the plot of “Seamus and Abbie” seems somewhat ‘ordinary’ when staring at it from a distance, but once you indulge in the story, it’s a book you will most likely get through in one sitting! Its Irish-slang dialogue format is very unique and fitting for the characters, and you will come to realize that Seamus and his family have a worth-while history, and one that is not for the faint of heart or easily disturbed. Whether you like comedies, tragedies, a good mix of both, or even just a good read, it’s a book you certainly wouldn’t regret putting in your comic collection, since you have most likely experienced at least one of the tragedies represented in the story.

“Content Warning Before you Pledge…it may be cartoons, but…”

While “Seamus and Abbie” is a very positively influenced comic regarding its overall message, it contains some of the following subject matter that everyone thinking of pledging should be fully aware of…full disclosure, here.

Trigger Warnings: Medical Tragedies
Psychologically Distressing Themes
Pro-Views Regarding Sexuality and Racial Equality
Consistent Swearing
