The mold may come with a different color. This is my upgraded new style, harder to make, but easier to use. ( now i have the flat top available for sale too, please check it out in a different listing.) This listing is for one homemade silicone uco candle mold with 3 cavities. Made to order. This mold was designed for making uco candles, great for beeswax, super easy to release, you would be able to finish the whole candle making process within 1 hour, which saves you lots of time. ( note: beeswax will shrink after it cools done, if you want to make the candle a little bigger, suggest to dip the finished candles in the wax 3-5 times to give it a thicker coat and shiny nice finish. ) And you can burn the candles as usual tapers too, different wicks might be used. Cavity dimension: about 3.5 long, 1 3/16 in diameter , each one can hold about 1.7 ozs wax. ( your wax will shrink after it cools done, so the actually size of your candle is smaller than the cavity size) Wick suggestion for pure beeswax: square braid 5/0 How to use the mold to make candles: (stick method) 1. insert wooden skewers in the center and secure them on top with hair pins. 2. pour in the wax with the right temperature. 3. twist the skewers once a while so that they won’t get stuck in the wax. 4. remove the candles with care. 5. take out the wooden skewers, and replace them with your waxed candle wicks. Note: don’t use extra effort / extreme strength on the mold, you don’t have to. the wall is not very thick like my other homemade molds, because i am trying to save customer $$ to make 3 cavities. but it’s super easy to release, and it’s not for big candles, so it would be good. This is a handmade product, i won’t be able to guarantee that every mold would look exactly the same. But each one is made with great care, i try my best to give it a great look. and newly made mold does has a slight silicone smell since i don’t use chemical to get rid of it like the factories do, but it would go after a while and it doesn’t affect your scented soap at all. To extend the lifetime of this mold, i recommend : 1.to pour your wax at the right temperature. 2. not to use it under extreme condition (baking or freezing too long, temperature range: -65f to 400f ) 3. not to use extreme pressure/ strength on it, you really don’t have to. The last, but not the least, use it the right way, and enjoy the easy way of making your homemade candles.
