A rocking board is an open-ended toy that can be used as a balance board, a see-saw, a bridge, a slide, a rocking cradle, etc. They are often used in Waldorf and Montessori early childhood classrooms because they help children develop a sense of balance, and are excellent for stimulating the vestibular system and a child’s awareness of his or her physical body and space.
