Wire Lamp by Verner Panton

Wire lamp, a table lamp drafted by Verner Panton in 1972, is formed of a cylindrical wire frame crowned by a hemisphere. While the original design used metal to form the cap, today the re-design by VerPan is made from coloured plastic.

This change effects that the light is shining through more softly. The Wire lamp is one of the best examples for Panton’s extraordinary talent to combine form and function.
