It took me about an hour and a half, but that was after already having done the dis-assembly to get to the spark plugs once before. Roughly half of that was actually changing the plugs and the other half was dis-assembling and re-assembling the air intake tubing and valve assembly before and after. You could definitely do it faster if you knew what you were doing - this was my first time changing spark plugs on any vehicle.

One thing I wasn't explicitly warned about and therefore didn't realize is the atypical spark plug diamater: 14mm. I tried to change the plugs last weekend and realized only when I got to removing the first spark plug that the spark plugs aren't standard 3/8 or 5/8 inch diameter, so my sockets wouldn't work. The HR engine (at least) takes 14mm - I think all VQ35s might take the same. I ordered this socket off amazon.ca since I was able to get fast shipping. It seems 14mm plug sockets advertised for BMWs will do the trick.

I ordered these spark plugs off ebay.ca, the whole set of 6 NGK laser iridium plugs was just under $100 USD. I made an effort to get the best plugs I could find, so you could probably find cheaper if you wanted. I think it's worth it to spend the extra ~$50 for the best though.

I have the Atoto A6 with backup camera and front camera.

Really good, kinda wish the Pro was out when I bought it last year.
I used this backup camera off amazon. LOVE IT.
Fits perfectly into the license plate light , sleek and hardly noticable. I can snap a pic later tonight

Buy This

C-clamps and a wrench is cheaper, but by god, does this tool make it easy and clean to push the piston back in. It's worth the $50, one time cost, and you don't have to sit there trying to manhandle a caliper in mid-air while trying to torque on it with the other hand.

I am assuming you have the non-bose setup.

The short answer IIRC is you need a line level adapter to RCA(from the existing rear speakers perhaps) to RCA adapter for your subs. Don't get that one but you get the idea. Better ones. Look at monoprice.com or crutchfield, etc. Personally I would suggest you just buy a new double din head unit instead as they usually come with RCA inputs and you won't have to lose your current rear speakers.

I tend to like to buy from crutchfield because they include a wiring harness and adapter usually.

I was actually looking at this very exhaust myself not too long ago. From what I've gathered, the system sounds very raspy and makes the Z sound a bit like a civic a la fart cannon.

However it seems that a popular thing to do with this exhaust is to remove the H pipe and replace it with an aftermarket Xpipe. That seems to clear up almost all of the rasp as well as the drone and leaves you with a pretty good sounding dual exhaust for cheap.

Also something to look out for is that this exhaust may be made out of cheap steel that will not hold up very well overtime.

I got it from Amazon: SCOSCHE NN1456B 2006-Up Nissan 350z Double DIN or DIN w/pocket Install Dash Kit https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000NWEJVQ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_eTeZAbE7B3PXQ

It’s a perfect fit and was super easy to install.

No offence but if you don't understand the wiring diagram maybe you should get someone to do it for you?

If you're determined to do it yourself maybe you just need a wiring harness kit like this:

https://www.amazon.com/Scosche-NN03B-Harness-1995-07-Standard/dp/B0007KPS0A/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1494895498&sr=8-2&keywords=nissan+350z+wiring+harness

It all depends on your setup. I don't know what plugs Joying comes with and whether or not you have a bose system in your car etc.

This polishing kit is what I used.

I am very skeptical of how long it will actually last but they definitely made them look better, not like new but much more clean.

Links:

  • Nissan Z Metal Keychain = $13.98

  • Red Remote Keyless Entry = $5.38

  • Extra Remote Keyless Entry = $6.54

    Notes:

The Z keychain isn't sharp (corners) at all; I don't even notice it in my pocket.

The red remote is just a plastic shell and rubber buttons. You need to either take the circuit board and battery out of a current key fob, which is extremely easy, or order an extra remote (3rd link) to use the internals from it. Reprogramming a new keyless remote is even easier than swapping the "guts" out, and it comes with instructions. A quick Google search will also reveal said instructions.

Even though the extra remote says "2003-2006," it will work with 2007. In my case, the car only came with one remote. This was a pretty cheap (and unique) option for an extra. It works perfectly, just like the original key fob.

Look around on Amazon for extra colors. I have seen blue and red, but not sure about white or any others.

I replaced mine last spring. Here is the part I ordered: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002Y06Q2K/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o07_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

It has been fine, no complaints.

Your flywheel is going to be fucked from driving so long with a slipping clutch. Shame on you OP for driving that long like that. You should replace that shit when it starts slipping to avoid damage. Your bell-housing is probably dinged up on the inside too. You're gonna want to drain the trans oil and inspect it for metal flake and then when you replace it (assuming there's no metal) you should probably go with Red Line MT-90.
