I don't think it'll happen, but I can think of some reasons why it would:

  1. we have a very young team with players who could reach a world-class level with the right guidance. I've read "Pep Confidential" and in the book it he claims loving to work with younger players, building them up and shaping their development the most out of anything. We have the youngest team in Italy, if not in all of Europe.
  2. Juve have a lock on the league, breaking that lock would be a historical feat at this point
  3. Serie A is the last "big" league he's not coached in and dominated. Not that he has anything to prove, but if you're asserting a claim for the best manager ever or similar kind of superlative, there is this angle
  4. ....he hates that Madrid have won the most European cups and wants Milan to overtake them (yes, I'm joking we only have 7 to win to do that)
  5. Mourinho came to Italy, coached cross-town rival Inter to a treble. Matching Mourinho by doing it with Milan to assert his elite status as a manager
  6. Elliot do not think they will get their money back with middling managers and will make one last ditch effort to revitalize the team before selling them off to a bigger fish. A flight to safety (Guardiola, Mourinho, Klopp) is their best hope and Guardiola is the best bet on winning a league at this point. With this sport being about entertainment, and building brands around it- they could be looking at ManCity as a template. Take a team from the doldrums, find the right manager and fund their development of the team then rake in the profits from all of the fair weather fans from around the globe.

I will say unequivocally that if Elliot do this, I will be forever grateful to them. It'll be bigger than just boosting our club. It could be what the league needs to elevate the competitiveness and level of play overall. For me, Ronaldo coming to Serie A was a great, positive sign that the league has fully recovered from the calciopoli days- but it's not really true. Juventus have, but no one else has done it. Pep coming to us would do it, imo. He would not only elevate our play, but also attract amazing players (and also force rivals to step up their game or be smashed 8-0 by the Guardiola train).

> Was it an right decision then?

Absolutely yes. You are mixing the quality of the decision with the quality of the outcome and this is a misunderstanding of how probability works. Basically, the idea is that you make decisions with the information available to you. But there can be a multitude of reasons why your decisions may not lead to the outcome you want.

This is actually a major area of personal interest for me and also an area I work in so I'm absolutely happy to discuss this in more detail. But to keep it short (and also because I have a newborn son to look after when I'm not redditing), I'll point you to a few resources so you can better understand what I am saying.

  1. A discussion of Pete Carrol's decision to throw instead of run in Super Bowl XLIX
  2. Fooled by Randomness by Nassim Taleb. To skip the book and read a Cliffnotes, you can read this blog by Farnam Street.

My Milanese is essentially the one from here that I have tweaked over the years. Make sure to use good stock.: https://www.amazon.com/Rice-Risotto-Davide-Paolini/dp/1900826291/

If you don't mind the previous season, Amazon often has a deal. I got my 3rd jersey for merely $20. Right now, I can see the home 15/16 jersey sells for about $38.

Don't try botched self-surgery. You're way better off trying [Nail Softener] (http://www.amazon.com/Gehwol-GEH-640401-Nail-Softener-15ml/dp/B000KOQ8A2), and if that doesn't work go to a Podologist. Messing around with my nail is what got me in my mess in the first place.
