From Amazon:
> When the power supply voltage changes in 5-8 v, it can be used as a variable gain amplifier, gain increases with the increase of the power supply voltage, which suitable for radio frequency receive front-end circuit, using DA control power supply voltage, to control the gain of the amplifier, automatic gain control
> When the power supply voltage in the 8-10 v, the low frequency end gain up to 30 db, at this time the amplifier has a low noise coefficient and good stability.
> When the voltage is 12 v, reach maximum gain, the low frequency end gain of 32.5 dB.

In case you're curious, I bought the RTL-SDR 1090 LNA/Filter (this) and the RTL-SDR V3 stick (to enable bias tee) and used it in exchange of my prostick+ and 978-1090 filter, and this is what I got as a result. If anything it looks like I need to turn down the gain. Running tests today but we'll see what it looks like over the next few days. So a dedicated 1090 filter definitely seems to help

After testing around 8 to 10 antennas (I am a licensed amature radio operator, so know a bit about antenna design and construction) for ADSB my advice would be to steer away from the coax collinear. Very very very very very few people have the equipment to accurately construct that antenna and get the claimed gain out of it.
Simpler is more accurate and thus results more gain. The fewer cuts, bends, soldering etc in the ADSB antenna, the higher gain it will have.
The best way to get max gain is just as /u/myownalias points out, use a USB extension cable. You can get amplified USB leads that will go out to 32 feet (https://www.amazon.com/Plugable-Meter-Active-Extension-Female/dp/B004AGX4YO) we have used these in a few of my ASB installs and can confirm they work fine with the FA Pro sticks. Zero loss.

Yep. Well, in any case, whatever it is, that connector is not going to be happy if you remove/replace antennas on it. Best to get a new one with SMA like the actual thing.

The guys over at r/Stratux use a custom built antenna from DMurray14. Properly installed with ground plane, this antenna has given us the best coverage (more than is actually needed for flight safety, ie. do i really need to know about an airplane 200 miles away??). But for PlaneTracking, it could be very useful.

I'm not sure locally where the best palce to get this stuff would be or what you costs are, maybe someone from India can help.

If you're using one of those little corkscrew antenna's that have a magnetic base (example), remember they are "ground plane antenna". Translation: They work best sitting on a metal base of some sort. Pizza pan, sheet metal, car roof, etc.

I have the 3m version of this cable, although a 1m would also fit if it would help.

I have a hill across the street that is just higher than my house which blocks a near line of sight to GRR

SE and SW of my house there really isn’t anything, it’s suburbs so no large buildings, no towers

I would love to pick up Ohare traffic if I can!

It's this one. I run antenna -> Band Pass Filter -> Amp -> SDR

I thought about getting a mini UPS just for the PI that runs my ADSB stuff (Its in an upstairs closet). Ive had a couple power outages that caused card failure. Ive seen some like this go on sale for around 25 bucks. Next time Im throwing down for one. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B073Q48Z95/ref=psdc_764572_t4_B01HDC236Q

In CO and mounting outdoor with a strong storm season. Bought this.

Code in county to have outdoor lightning protection tied to an outdoor ground. The equipment will still fry, but will reduce the risk of a fire.
