The RAM issue may not be because of this board but with the CPU. Before I got the x570 taichi I was using an x470 Asus Prime-Pro with a Ryzen 2600. My memory was working fine with 2nd Gen Ryzen and the x470 no issues. As soon as I put the 3rd Gen 3900x in this I started having problems with the memory. Might just be BIOS update fix. Who knows. If you have 16 GB using 2 8 GB DIMM's I would bet you will be alright.

For the fan bracket I picked this up on amazon (Fan Bracket). Just be mindful this might not work in all cases. I had to modify the bracket and cut off some parts of it with a coping saw. The spray paint the bracket with a fresh coat of black spray paint. But it was a cheap upgrade for the cooling benefits it provided.

I like the look of the FE edition cards but i feel like the 3rd party cards cool and get better performance. But that is my personal preference.

I don't know about when "real" retailers will have them. This is what they said when I asked when/if the board would be released in New Zealand:

>Thanks for your interest in X470D4U which indeed has strong demand globally for the time being. We are expecting new output in April for delivery to our distributor - PB Technologies Ltd in New Zealand. They will get in contact with you shortly for buying information locally.

Do you happen to have the width x height dimensions of that little valley between the SB heatsink and the top shield?

Wondering if these would be a good solution

Basically a portable drive that uses USB-C interface and houses an NVMe SSD. The convenience of a portable drive with a significantly faster read/write than others.

If i hook that up to a regular USB 3 port i'd be hitting 40MB/s max write speed.

You can just buy a RGB fan for the CPU and hook it up. The fan should have a 4 pin pwm power and a separate 4 pin led plug. For the case fans just grab one of these.

My brother did this with Cooler Master Masterfans but as long as they have a standard RGB led plug anyone should work.

The motherboard is one of the best out there, so no worries there. Here is the kit I purchased on Prime Day for $99. https://www.amazon.com/Crucial-Ballistix-Desktop-Gaming-BLE2K8G4D36BEEAK/dp/B07NPKTRS1/ref=sr_1_1?keywords=ballistix%2Belite%2B3600&qid=1569778983&s=electronics&sr=1-1&th=1

Did upping the DRAM voltage work for you? The sticks do need a little more juice to work. With the 3200 MHz sticks, I would get tons of errors in Memtest at 1.35V, but none at 1.4V.

I was in the same boat... I was surprised my Intel M2 didn't come with a screw... so I ordered this from Amazon yesterday....

You can use almost any Male RP-SMA antenna that claims to work with the frequencies that matter to you. This is usally means that it claims to work in the 2.4 and 5 GHz range.

The almost is due to the close proximity of the two connectors. They will not be able to accommodate antennas with larger connectors.

These small and cheap ones work, but might not give the full range.

Thanks for the reply!

Ryzen 1700, BIOS 4.82 Beta. Corsair CX750 Power Supply

But the issues with sleep/shut down didn't use to happen. I think they started around BIOS 3.X.

The strange behavior (which makes me assume it's not PSU) is that if I start it up fresh, and hit "sleep", it WILL sleep, and wake up properly. But if after waking up I hit sleep again, it will turn off the display and keep fans/lights on, with a "wrong password" BIOS error code (d8 I believe, which makes NO sense).

Same with Shut down - it will shut down correctly, then hang with an error code next time. Rinse and repeat
