  1. Start low and work up, if you want to use Domperidone. It's a galactologue for sure, and there's a variety of people out there who have different regimens. I would compare several examples of people using dom and see if you find a good baseline to start at, but maximum recommended dose by doctors per day is 30 mg (you may go higher, but risks increase).
  2. There is limited research that it can negatively affect your heart, with the US FDA indicating that it has risks of cardiac arrythmia, cardiac arrest, and sudden death. Obviously if you experience any of these effects, stop taking dom and contact your doctor. That said, we've never had a bad experience with it.
  3. This is massively dependent on dedication + technique. Some people see results quickly, others it takes a few months. If you're doing ten sessions of 20 minutes of pumping per day, for example, you'll likely see faster results than someone doing it only 4 times a day.
  4. No, it's not always a sex thing. I mean, it really can't with the number of sessions you need to do. It's usually a very enjoyable closeness and can build relationships, though. I would recommend discussing with your SO if they can do the time commitment. It's important that you both be on the same page regarding this, because it can have long-term impacts on your life.
As for sex itself, it just gets incorporated into sex pretty easily; playing with your breasts during sex will naturally elicit a reaction, and it can be lots of fun!
  5. For a breastpump, look for hospital-grade + high suction. I've heard good things about the Bellababy pump, although we haven't used it ourselves. I've For TENS units, here's a URL: TENS Unit Directions
  6. There's plenty of websites dedicated to ANR/ABF, I recommend browsing around! No better way to find new people and places

    Couple tips:

  • Make sure you are hydrated. This is key to ensuring successful lactation
  • Other supplements, such as oatmeal, fenugreek, blessed thistle, etc. all have different effects. Read up on those in addition to dom, perhaps.
  • Supply = demand, so the more you demand, the more faster your supply will respond.

Good luck! Feel free to post your progress here if you are interested, but please respect the rules! :)

I like the Spectra S2. It's gentle but efficient. I've also tried a Madela PISA, and it definitely has stronger suction, but it hurt like hell and didn't seem to get as much milk as my spectra did. I feel like the Spectra better imitates the suckling motion of a mouth. Bonus, it's also pretty quiet, it's easy to control suction strength and speed, and it has a night light (for those 2am sessions). I bought mine used, but it's also one of the cheaper options if you buy new.

Definitely! I try to keep everything ultra clean. Great advice and warning for the other inducers here, thank you again.

Side note for anyone who might be interested, I use this guy which is made for breasts and doesn't have any adhesive (although you do have to use some kind of conductive gel on the pads, I just use regular water based lube). I've only had it a week but I love it so far. We'll see how it holds up over time... but I'm VERY sensitive to any kind of adhesive, so if you're like me, something like this might be another option. Just have to wear a bra with it and it stays in place just fine because of the shape of the pads :)

You aren't a smoker, right?

This is the supplement I take to get my fenugreek in every day:

http://www.amazon.com/Gaia-Herbs-Lactation-Support-Phyto-Capsules/dp/B00F1J8HUA/ref=sr_1_1?s=hpc&ie=UTF8&qid=1453244980&sr=1-1&keywords=gaia+lactation+support

Not saying that you have to buy it from Amazon, but that's a great price.

Fenugreek lends a sweeter taste to breast milk, and the marshmallow in there makes breastmilk creamier. Take 1 3 times a day, and make sure that you're getting adequate water and fresh fruit intake!

Purple TechCare Mini Massager Tens Unit Device Machine FDA 510k Cleared [Lifetime Warranty] Tens Machine for Drug Free Pain Management, Back Neck Shoulder Pain and Rehabilitation https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0722Q9F6Z/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_6wcbBbAA8T4R2

This thing is smaller than an ipod nano. I got it in yesterday and I've had 4 pads on for most of the night, it feels amazing, was cheap and is so tiny I'm wearing it under my clothes with the unit in my pocket.

So I just needed to share the unit with all of you. Now here's my question. Is there such thing as too much? Because I love how this feels and I left them connected all night, set alarms to wake up and turn on. Is me using the tens unit consecutively am I doing harm?

I know I need to use other methods for actual induction and I am, but man it feels good!

When I got the chance I did some searching and found some experts showing how it's done. Same technique applies for adults (of course your mouth is a bit larger so you'll probably end up taking more in, but it all works out).

Aim the boobie for the roof of the mouth, when your mouth takes in the boobie it'll slide down to where it's almost gagging you.

You'll make like a seal and it'll just stay where it's supposed to be. You use your tongue to massage the teat (Don't know how else to describe it, but once you play around you'll figure it out, and breathe through your nose.

As the suckler it was a bit weird and until I learned to relax my jaw got a little tired trying to do more work than necessary.

Your nipples being a little sensitive afterwards sounds normal. I know nursing mothers sometimes get cracking, but there are fixes for that

It's this one: Goats Rue Organic Herb Lactation Aid Support Supplement for Breastfeeding Mothers - 120 Vegetarian Powder Capsules 500 mg per Vegetarian Capsule Compare to Others in The Category https://www.amazon.com/dp/B078J2DSXY/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_t33wCbMACKFTW

Someone on here recommended it.

I use this one. Program 2 feels like suckling and will actually make your breasts bounce while you use it.

iReliev TENS + EMS Combination... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B011J79PNK?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

There's little silicone inserts you can put in there to reduce it to as little as 15mm. Doesn't specify it works with Avent, but I don't see why it wouldn't.

Edit: found the link for you

This tiny little thing right here >> https://www.amazon.com/TechCare-Massager-Lifetime-Management-Rehabilitation/dp/B0722Q9F6Z/ref=sr_1_9?keywords=techcare+tens&qid=1573136720&sr=8-9

Unlike other TENS units, you can't control the pulse length and speed with this one, but it has a variety of modes, a couple of them with faster/slower/longer pulses, so if one mode becomes uncomfortable after 3-4 minutes, there are a few of the settings I swap between.
