High rise domed stick works best for me. You can get this from amazon for $7 and try out different sizes and patterns to find out what works best for you. Also, most people only add the extension to their aim stick, but it’s all personal preference. Expect it to feel weird at first, but you will get used to it and it will definitely help.

It takes some getting used to, but now it's hard for me to play without them. I'll probably wait for the next gen to get an elite controller, but these are what I use now for PS4 and I love them: Strikepack

Keep in mind you can't use these wirelessly

I use these. I like them because they are concave, and because the pack contains a mid-rise and a high-rise. You can use the mid-rise to acclimate yourself to them, and then switch to the high-rise for even more control once you're comfortable. Also, purple is boss.

Oh and FYI, you only need to use one on your right joystick, since that's the stick you use for aiming.

I've got an Acer LED ET322QK. Decent 4k monitor for under $400.

It ticks all the boxes on Xbox for 4K, but apparently it's "fake" for the HDR. I use it with freesync, though. Don't really have any issues with tearing, but the brightness could be better.

I'm also on PS4 I use the xbox elite controller with brook x one converter. https://www.amazon.com/CtrlDepot-Converter-Controller-Wireless-Rechargeable/dp/B078W3JRLL It works awesome with zero lag wired and wireless. I've been really impressed with it.

I really like this kit: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07Q2SJQX4/ref=twister_B07PYP956P?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1 Cost is low if you use your own controller, still not bad if you buy one just to mod.

For Apex, you don't need to remap L3/R3 or the touchpad, so you can install it with no soldering. You have to train yourself to hit the outside buttons with the meaty part of your finger, and hit the inside buttons with the end of your finger, but even after getting a paddle controller I think I still like this one. https://twitter.com/Cax6ton/status/1115446672597946369?s=09

If DIY isn't your thing, aimcontrollers.com is very affordable, completely customizable, but they take a long time to ship. I ordered in mid March and just got the controller this week. They're having a sale right now, you can get a custom controller for about $100-$120 depending on the options you pick. I ordered the wrong height sticks, so I'm waiting until my next stick order comes in before playing with it more, but from playing for an afternoon I can say it is high quality, the paddles are well done, and programming is easy. I just ordered the wrong height sticks, but they're swappable, so I'll get that fixed soon.

I play on a 23" screen, couldn't imagine trying to aim on a 50".

The smaller the screen = the quicker your reaction time.

Would definitely recommend upgrading, this is what I use.

Going for $160 rn, but if you wait you might see a drop in price. I think I spent about $120 on mine.

Yeah. I have AL installed on an external, 1TB Crucial MX500 and I've never had the audio issues that others complain about. The game also loads in just a few seconds.
