  • TLDR: See title, strap from, adapter from amazon:

  • What I sought in a strap: I really care about quality leather (belt, wallet, shoes are all carefully chosen). I’m willing to pay for it, but I think the Apple leather bands are not good. Enjoy yours if you have one, I’m just some guy on the internet, but the quality to cost ratio on those Apple’s leather bands would offend me if I wasn’t so cynical. I don’t know a ton about leather, but I’ve learned that Shell Cordovan is some of the best in the world, produced in the US. I started researching Shell Cordovan straps that would fit my watch (42mm face, so 24mm band imo). Long story short, when I found, it was obvious that this was by far the best bang for your buck. If you’re ready to spend somewhere in the range of $80-$140 on an ideal leather strap, you can either get pretty nice choices that are mass produced, or you can get this customized and tailored perfection from a dude in Virginia.

  • Experience: I exchanged several emails with the artisan/proprietor - Sky - about what I’d like and what options were on the table. He was very responsive and flexible, wasn’t locked into just the set choices listed on the website, and was ready to use the ingredients at his disposal to make whatever strap I wanted. There were plenty of options to choose from, all very tasteful. In the end, I placed the order with the following description (copied from the email):

    -- Black Shell Cordovan

-- With taper (I'm not sure if a 2, 3 or 4 mm taper would be best with such a wide strap. You're the pro, I'll trust your judgment)

    -- Gray threading

    -- Stainless steel buckle

    -- 24mm

-- Wrist measurement: 6 and 7/8ths inches (see attached pic to be certain)

-- Bar to bar measurement: bar begins at 1 and 13/16ths and ends at 1 and 14/16ths (see attached pic to be certain)

    -- No leather backing

  • Look/Feel: Exactly what I ordered and hoped for. I took detailed pictures, hopefully they accurately express that this thing just fits perfectly and is truly top quality leather. I only realized after it arrived: because it’s tailored to your wrist, there’s a small amount of slack left on the strap, you only need one “belt loop” to contain that slack. A pleasant surprise.

  • Cost/Delivery: I got a bit of a discount because I used a coupon code, so I don’t want to list what I paid so that no one gets the wrong expectations, but I paid around $100. It took about two weeks from order to arrival. I got this discount code for 15% off with my order that you all are welcome to use: "104" (full disclosure: I get like 15% rebate if people use this code). Note that it comes with a “1-year 100% satisfaction guarantee."

Happy to answer questions or get more pics.

Got this leather band from Amazon for around $10. Looks great on my Apple Watch, also Space Grey Aluminum.

Been wearing it almost every day for a little over 2 weeks. Fits nice and snug into the watch -- I have no anxiety in the band failing and the watch falling off.

Leather seemed and smelled genuine, and has broken in very well. No tears or malformations in the band. Excellent quality.

I also just got this watch, my first Apple Watch, about a month ago. If you're in the market for Apple Watch accessories, do pick up the Skinomi screen protector pack. This specific brand and screen protector is widely praised throughout this subreddit for its value, quality, ease of installation, and next-to-invisible look. I was skeptical at first because I did not want to ruin the look of my beautiful watch with its classy leather band, but trust me when I say this: you cannot tell there is a screen protector on with that product. If installed correctly, which is easy and foolproof due to its wet install procedure, the protector will shape and smooth itself out and become practically invisible. Feels fine on the finger too. And $7 for a 6-pack? Tremendous value. I don't foresee myself needing to change out the protector for a long time. The Apple Watch is a pricey fashion accessory and utility that is strapped to your wrist and is prone to bump into stuff, even with utmost care. Protect its integrity and resale value with a cheap screen protector.

u/HeartwarmingWarfare · 1 pointr/AppleWatch

I would definitely use a screen protector. Not everyone likes cases, but I do and here's my favorites. I think the S3 is the same size as the S2, so they should fit the S3 I hope.

Skinomi screen protector from amazon:

Great case, but it's bulky. It has a raised edge that MIGHT protect the screen a little, but I don't trust it so I still use a screen protector.

Had this one for a few months and they're great. They snap on easily and are tight and secure. Made of hard plastic type material.

I wanted one that was gray to match my space gray watch better. They are really form fitting and thin and barely stick out from the watch at all. Made of rubbery TPU material.

u/ekeen1 · 1 pointr/AppleWatch

The general attitude towards cases on this sub is generally no, but given certain environments I can see why it's a good idea.

Unless you're going swimming (full watch submersion for long periods of time), you probably won't need the catalyst case for the Apple Watch.

For rough physical environments, I recommend using something like this Spigen case. You'll save a great deal of cash compared to the catalyst but also have adequate impact protection.

u/Portatort · 3 pointsr/AppleWatch

People will recommend expensive and beautiful stands.

But the cheapest, most functional and best stand/dock you can get for apple watch is this one

Spigen S350 Apple Watch Stand with Night Stand Mode for Apple Watch Series 1 / Series 2 / 42mm / 38mm - Black

TRUST ME, before you buy a more expensive stand. Buy this one and try it.

Im yet to see a better stand at any price point

u/doug__judy · 3 pointsr/AppleWatch

Congrats! I've had mine for about 2 months now and love it. Being that you're an EMT, I would definitely suggest getting at least a screen protector or case for added protection. I bought this awesome screen protector off Amazon and you can't even tell its there (lifetime replacement warranty). Good luck with making the most out of your Apple watch!

Charge your Watch every night, treat it well, and it'll treat you well. :)

A cheap little nightstand dock is a good purchase, makes it a regular place to charge the device overnight and keep your charging puck stationary. This is the one I have, but you can find others that work just as well, and its from the Spigen offical eBay store:

I also picked up a spare charger for travel purposes, so I can leave the other attached to my dock. They're not cheap, but having a spare is worth it in my opinion!

Edit: You can also get this stand on Amazon for slightly cheaper, looks like:

NP I could have explained better. Putvthis on to protect from scratch
ArmorSuit MilitaryShield 42mm (Series 1) Anti-Bubble Ultra HD Full Coverage Screen Protector for Apple Watch - Clear (2-Pack)

The prior plastic cover is perfect to let this set in place so the edges don't peel up on you.

u/therealfarmerjoe · 1 pointr/AppleWatch

I ordered this leather band and really love it so far. It looks great, and is very comfortable:

I also ordered this metal band. It seems very solid. My only gripe is that it does not have micro-adjustments and is a smidge too tight for my particular wrist. Adding in one more link makes it far too loose:

u/jpyounis1 · 1 pointr/AppleWatch

agreed, had a gshock aviator before. I use it caseless with a zagg shield on the screen i had them put on in the local mall. looks like new, i swap the silicone bands often tho. Seems to hold up well. i'd probably recommend something like the case my friend has below, if your in a foot pursuit prone area or generally rough area.

My buddy works in another dept and has this rugged armor case on it:

u/doogm · 1 pointr/AppleWatch

> Seems pretty un intuitive as they already have auto pause as a feature you can turn on/off. What gives?

Auto-pause is only for running workouts.

I like the press both buttons pause for pausing when it is raining out and I have locked the watch. (The same would be true I am sure for swimming workouts.) And sometimes you want to pause for other reasons while running (e.g., you see your neighbor on the street walking the dog and stop and chat for a bit while the neighbor continues the walk.) Though I have to say that half the time when I try to press both buttons it doesn't actually work, thinking that I was pressing one button or the other. It's a lot more reliable to swipe right and press the pause button frankly. Still, that's something you can't do when the watch is water-locked.

But I agree with the suggestion to change the watch orientation for workouts when you play hockey. The same thing has happened to me when I run-in the winter with gloves on. Another idea if that doesn't work out is an armband. See

u/Plastilina_Ve · 4 pointsr/AppleWatch

These are the ones I use and they're amazingly good. Can barely tell there's something there. Requires a wet install and a few hours to settle, but it's totally worth it.

PS: Can confirm the Series 1 screen scratch pretty easily. Have a Series 2 with one of these installed since day one, so wouldn't know if there's a difference.

u/flesoytaert · 3 pointsr/AppleWatch

Love when OP's post and run haha, it may be this one. That's what I've been planning to get with my watch.

Optima Unisex 33-190 Black Twenty-Watch Case with Zipper

Edit: yeah that's definitely it, OP has it in his post history.

u/XtopherSkidoo · 2 pointsr/AppleWatch

I use this one:

I have used 2 in the year that I've had it. I could have kept the old one on longer, but it was starting to flake off a little bit and look bad. I'm not sure if it's the best of the best, but I l've liked it so far.

u/DeathByPetrichor · 2 pointsr/AppleWatch

In case you're interested, here are the Space Grey adaptors I have with my leather band. In my opinion, and from what people have told me, it looks exactly like its original. The color matches perfectly.

u/Pinopoly · 2 pointsr/AppleWatch

Well for now i am just keeping them all in my tiny clockwork synergy box but i am defiantly getting this soon.
It's not exactly what i wanted because i would like to display them but for storage i hear it is great!

u/mattdev · 1 pointr/AppleWatch

I have two. The Luvvitt adapter that everyone here loves, and this Wearlizer adapter. I definitely prefer the Wearlizer, but I wish it were a better match for the SGS.

u/SnDNudz612 · 4 pointsr/AppleWatch

Best one in my opinion. Works great. Has room for cables and is cool also.

u/kifdavis · 2 pointsr/AppleWatch

Someone else recommended these and I bought them. They look great with the space black. Make sure you look at the space black ones and not the space grey! Still looking for good bands though.

u/MysteryStep · 9 pointsr/AppleWatch

I just picked up the S4 SS 44mm. I work in an industrial setting so I need to have a case on my Apple Watch. These two fit the bill and look pretty good considering. I didn’t wear a case on my Series 0 SS 42mm and it got pretty beat up on the SS. It never got a scratch on the face so I’m not too worried about that but I want to protect the SS from scuffs this time around.

Spigen Thin Fit

Spigen Rugged Armor Works

u/Fanatic789 · 3 pointsr/AppleWatch

Looks definitely cool. But I'm always wondering if the material costs are lower than the 8$ stand from Spigen (this one).

Or is it more like a "I created this by myself" thing? :)

u/combi06 · 2 pointsr/AppleWatch

You mean like this one?

elago W3 Stand for Apple Watch Series 4 (40mm) / Series 3 / Series 2 / Series 1 / 42mm / 40mm / 38mm [Nightstand Mode][Original Design Awards][Patent Pending] - White

Just FYI is not specific to the S4. I've had it since my S0 and the S4 fits perfectly fine in it

u/Yowzz · 2 pointsr/AppleWatch

I have this for daily carry and totally love it

And this higher capacity pod for longer trips and as a backup

both are fantastic

u/Hefty_Zygote · 2 pointsr/AppleWatch

I found this one and although I haven’t had it but a few days, it’s already my favorite band. And for the price, you can’t go wrong. Stitching is nice, and it seems like it will wear with time really well.

u/superchunked · 1 pointr/AppleWatch

Depends on what you like. My favorite so-far is this JETech Replacement Band for Apple...

Love this brand. Very durable so far.

u/prozaakk · 2 pointsr/AppleWatch

I’ve had tons of luck buying cheap third party bands on Amazon.

Mkeke makes a leather one I use most often:

Just ordered a Tirnga Milanese loop band from Amazon. First one I had has last >2 years.

So many cheap options, it’s not the end of the world to try some to see if you like them.

u/Rom2814 · 2 pointsr/AppleWatch

I’ve used this since November 2016:

Smatree Charging Case for Apple Watch Series 1, Series 2, Series 3, Series 4 (Original Magnetic Charging Cable NOT Included)

You have to provide your own cable, but I love that it has a battery - really helpful in hotels with limited outlets. I’ve used it 4 nights in a row to keep my watch changed without plugging it in, then recharged it when I got home.

u/camplightsatnight · 3 pointsr/AppleWatch

U.S. Link:

I bought this one this past weekend and it will be delivered tomorrow. It's good to hear the positive reviews on it. So many reviews on amazon nowadays are paid reviews so it's getting hard to gauge what's a good product.

u/Shifty54 · 1 pointr/AppleWatch

I bought this off amazon. It hooks nicely to my keychain and can charge my watch 1 and a half to 2 times on a full charge. It comes with its own charging cable that doubles as a lanyard if you like. I’m very happy with it

Was hoping for a solid band with Prime but couldn't find one. Order placed Dec 10th and it arrived today! Very happy with the combination.

u/michikade · 3 pointsr/AppleWatch

For traveling I have a Smatree travel / charging case. Put an OEM short puck cable in it (the 0.3 meter one). It also has, in the section where the puck goes, a short lightning cable, a cube and the micro USB cable to charge the case in: . It has a d-ring hook on it that I could attach to my bag. The case itself has a 3000mAh battery in it.

Got it on Amazon for $26.

It's a lot bigger than a keychain, but it can charge both my watch and phone at the same time while I'm out. Really convenient too, because I wouldn't have to hold my watch to my keychain or something, I can just zip it up nice and safe.

u/SLIguy81317 · 3 pointsr/AppleWatch

Had a similar scratch on mine. I put a skin screen protector on it. Definitely made it less noticeable. The skin is nearly invisible if applied properly, and is actually pretty easy to put on.

Edit: link for the skin I used.

u/RogueStrider_06 · 1 pointr/AppleWatch

Thank you!
[The case](Optima Unisex 33-190 Black Twenty-Watch Case with Zipper is pretty basic and cheap. But does the trick till I fill it up haha

u/c1a0 · 4 pointsr/AppleWatch

If you know what size it is, you could get a sport band.

Or this dock

There really aren't that many things that are specific to apple watch for $10 or less. If you broaden the scope to all Apple branded things, you could buy him an apple mug or poster or something like that. Gift cards are good too

u/ehed · 1 pointr/AppleWatch

Looks nice! But you can't use Nightstand in that orientation, can you?

I use this Spigen one, $8 at Amazon. Works great!

u/RedditIsAShitehole · 3 pointsr/AppleWatch

I bought this on from Amazon

It's quite good especially for travelling. Which country are you in that Amazon doesn't ship to? You should be able to use a forwarder without any hassle, someone like myus.

u/JKCIO · 3 pointsr/AppleWatch

I’ve got this one off of amazon and it’s a pretty solid case and easy to keep organized.

u/cyanletters · 1 pointr/AppleWatch

My friends is an airplane mechanic and uses an Apple Watch with a protective case. He's banged it up quite a bit and hasn't had any issues.

I'm pretty sure he has this one:

Here are the band links -

Apple Watch Band, Penom Fully Magnetic Closure Clasp Mesh Loop Milanese Stainless Steel Bracelet Strap, 42mm Silver

I also got a screen protector -
ArmorSuit MilitaryShield For Apple Watch 42mm Screen Protector (Series 1) [Full Coverage][2 Pack] w/ Lifetime Replacements, Anti-Bubble Ultra HD Clear

And I am thinking of either getting a black sports band (because I don't like the white sports band that came with Apple Watch).

MoKo Apple Watch Band Series 1 Series 2, Soft Silicone Replacement Sports Band for 42mm Apple Watch 2015 & 2016 All Models, BLACK (Not fit 38mm Versions)

Or may get the Nike sports band to get that Nike look

Apple Watch Series 2 Nike Sport Band, UMTELE Soft Silicone Replacement Strap with Ventilation Holes for Apple Watch Nike Plus Black/Cool Gray 42mm

u/redhatch · 6 pointsr/AppleWatch

Cases get a lot of hate on this sub, but it’s your watch and you should wear it how you choose. I’ve used the Spigen Rugged Armor since getting my watch at Christmas and I like it. I personally do not think it adds any noticeable bulk to the watch. I originally had the case + band model, but the band didn’t fit my wrist very well so I got the case only and have been wearing it with the black Apple Sport Band the watch came with.

u/one4u2nv · 1 pointr/AppleWatch

I use this case and this band on my S0 when I'm doing more active things currently. Most other times I just have it naked. I'll use the same on my S3 if it ever finally comes (thanks a lot Best Buy).

u/LeicaDad · 1 pointr/AppleWatch

This is the one I use: Wearlizer
Better than the other kind, but the lug part is also narrower, so you just need to make sure the strap will fit.

u/boostdd · 4 pointsr/AppleWatch

They are surprisingly easy to repolish.

I use this and the watch looks brand new when I'm done. Removes scuffs as well!!!

u/imoftendisgruntled · 2 pointsr/AppleWatch

The part that connects a normal band to an Apple Watch. There are two styles:

  • tubular: the type you find on Apple's leather bands

  • spring bar: these are more like the kind you find on "normal" watches. I actually prefer this type because it opens up the number of straps you can use.

Edit: I just pulled the first searches from Amazon that were examples of the types. If you search around you can get better deals. I bought 5 sets of 2 spring-bar lugs from eBay for $12 total a few months ago.
u/Cheebiu0ahg2otol · 2 pointsr/AppleWatch

I got this charging stand - both useful and quirky :)

I don't like the look of any of the combined docks as I like to keep my bedside table minimal from a tech point.

u/memebuster · 4 pointsr/AppleWatch

Nothing personal but that stand looks like a bit much. Check this out:

JETech Replacement Band for Apple Watch 42mm Series 1 2 3 with Stainless Steel Metal Clasp, Black

u/mrwcs · 2 pointsr/AppleWatch

I’ve had these for 2 years and they’re great. I believe that some people say that this type of spring bar adapter is more secure than the type of adapter that you linked.

u/Hogs-o-War · 1 pointr/AppleWatch

I recommend this charger “upgrade”. I love mine.

u/MarmiteX1 · 4 pointsr/AppleWatch

I would get the Spigen Rugged Armour case 38mm/42mm and it's apparently it's got impact protection and is made of soft TPU that should protect the aluminium.

Apple Watch Series 1 Series 2 Series 3 Spigen, [Rugged Armor] [Black] Apple Watch 42mm Case Cover / Ultimate Impact Protection Protection from Drops and Impacts

The reason I recommend this is because I have used Spigen cases on phones in the past and they don't scratch the devices from my experience. Some clear cases are subject to yellowing due to exposure from the sun.

u/mredofcourse · 3 pointsr/AppleWatch

I have two items. One is a portable charging case. It's $30 from Amazon:

I have multiple watches and I like being able to travel with this safe in the case and then using it to charge. It's also quick and easy to throw in the safe.

I also like this charging stand:

It's $4, but is much nicer than having a loose cable, or not having the watch stand up.

u/prolongedrpinterval · 1 pointr/AppleWatch

You can buy any strap and just use an apple watch adapter like this one:

I did this with a fossil rubber watch band and it looks great

They are very good for the price and they look very nice, especially the metal one. There are lots of leather options too, so you might consider going down in that direction.

u/MrBMT · 2 pointsr/AppleWatch

You can get a perfectly decent charging stand that supports nightstand mode for $10.99. It's not worth butchering your watch case (and decreasing potential resale value) for that little IMO.

u/r1ch · 8 pointsr/AppleWatch

I use one of these - it's nothing amazing but it looks nice and works really well for night mode:

u/Gariond · 1 pointr/AppleWatch

These will be your best friends. They're great for mostly everything but the deep deep nicks. Take off your band from the watch, turn off the watch, put on gloves scrub away, rinse. I do it about once a month and mine looks brand new each time.

u/bmc3515 · 11 pointsr/AppleWatch

Yup. I use this one and it’s great. Sticks on the nightstand well and allows for night mode. Plus it’s under $8.

Ever since having a Pebble I have always put a gadgetwrap on mine.

When I bought my Apple Watch last week I went straight to Amazon and bought an Armorsuit for it. They are JUST like the Gadgetwrap but it folds over the screen! I hate the ones that just cover the front of the screen and when you swipe with your fingers you feel the corners and such. This one wraps over the edges so you don't get that and I LOVE it! Very cheap to for a 2 pack with lifetime warranty.

u/Noromaru · 1 pointr/AppleWatch

Thanks for the response – is it the [MoKo] ( lugs? I was mostly wondering how the colors match as I've seen lots of issues with third party lugs and the space gray watch. I haven't really seen any comments one way or the other on the reviews.

u/Ski_ND · 2 pointsr/AppleWatch

I ordered the Spigen Rugged Armor and found it was too big and bulky for my taste. I'm not sure if I'm going to use a case at all; I really like the look of the AWS without a case.

I ordered and installed the Armor Suit Military Shield screen protector and am very pleased with it. It covers every part of the glass; contour and all. Take your time installing it!

u/Owatatsumi · 1 pointr/AppleWatch

I use this soft case. I'm happy with it, though getting the elastic over the connectors is a little bit of a stretch. This can mostly be solved by threading the skinny part of the bands through the elastic.

u/blazedshaggy · 1 pointr/AppleWatch

Yes I don’t trust the type of band adapter he shows on that post. I like this kind of adapter better. Less likely to fail in my opinion.

I am pretty hard on the face of my watches. I have several standard watches (not saphire) that I have put scratches in over the years, so I decided to go this route.

It is practically unnoticeable once it is applied correctly. As long as you follow the directions on their website (youtube video), you should have excellent results.

I was opposed for a long time, and then noticed a hairline crack in my screen so I added one for water protection. Have had the Armorsuit for about six months now and it looks like new. I've seen others in the wild that look rough around the edges after some wear, but the Armorsuit is still clear and unnoticeable.

You could use these to connect the band to the watch:

Wearlizer Metal Watch Band Clasp/connector for All Apple Watch Models. No Screws or Screwdriver Needed and Super Easy to Install - 42mm Grey

u/melatonic_ · 5 pointsr/AppleWatch

This one works great. Can also be used to charge your phone at the same time.

I got similar adapters at a fraction of the cost here. They were great.

u/Idle0095 · 2 pointsr/AppleWatch

I purchased these and they work great. Using them with a horween leather band.

[Here ya go](Optima Unisex 33-190 Black Twenty-Watch Case with Zipper! I'm truly hoping that the issue with discoloring sport bands is a one in a million thing, and it doesn't happen to me. If it does, there aren't a ton of other options out there. /=

this works wonders for the SS version but if it's aluminum you're out of luck

I love this stand. I bought one a couple of months ago and it’s been on my nightstand ever since. I like being able to just pop the watch into it and take it out when it’s charged without having to touch the charging cable.

I paid $10 for it on Amazon, but for those willing to wait a couple of weeks for it to arrive from China, you can get it for less than $7 on AliExpress. It comes in the off-white pictured and in black, but the black version will cost $12 on Amazon.

u/kam0706 · 1 pointr/AppleWatch

Well, it prevents the glove from contact the watch, so yes.

I have one like this

u/tsdguy · 2 pointsr/AppleWatch

This is the one I use

Spigen S350 Designed for Apple Watch Stand with Night Stand Mode for Series 5 / Series 4 / Series 3/2 / 1 / 44mm / 42mm / 40mm / 38mm, Patent Pending - Black

$10 and improves on the OPs selection. The cord is well hidden and it has a lip so the weight of the watch isn’t born magnetically. Plus it’s soft so no potential of scratching. IMHO of course.

u/i_poop_splinters · 1 pointr/AppleWatch

Ah you've got the one I'm looking at on amazon! I think. If it's this one:

Give me your own little mini review of it. How ya like it?

I have a large watch case with zipper to store 20 of them. Link below:

Some bands like Milanese from Apple I put in the original plastic box when I don't use it.

For the rest, I have some watch band boxes made of cardboard (come with some of the bands) and I store the rest there.

"upcycled a Huawei watch box as an Apple watch charger".

"repurposed a Huawei watch box as an Apple watch charger"

Plain old English:
"used a Huawei watch box as an Apple watch charger"

Regardless, I think it looks pretty cool, although I'm too lazy to deal with that everyday. I just slap my watch on a $10 Apple Watch charging stand for 30 min a day and call it done.

u/shanec07 · 2 pointsr/AppleWatch

One of these cheap and cheerful and does the job

u/gohomepat · 1 pointr/AppleWatch

I've worn G-Shocks most of my life. I iust love how bulky they are. I highly recommend Spigen! The case is sold separately from the band but I have piece of mind when wearing it. My only real complaint about it is that the band requires a bit of dexterity to securely fasten. Nothing a little practice won't fix.

EDIT: Link

All of these have good reviews and are inexpensive.

Amazon has band adapters that let you use any "normal" band with your Apple Watch. So if you've seen a band you like on non-Apple Watches, and can find it, then you can use it on your Apple Watch.

Pretty much everyone in this sub has this same case from whoever the first guy was to post it (Me being one of those people lol) Optima Unisex 33-190 Black Twenty-Watch Case with Zipper

u/IncredibleGonzo · 1 pointr/AppleWatch

A charging stand. Even just the most basic ones like this or this. Obviously it's not a big deal to stick on the charger normally, but when you have to do it every day/every couple of days its worth streamlining and a stand will make it practically effortless to just drop it on the charger.

Alternatively also worth considering a combined watch + phone dock, if that appeals to you - when I got my stand I didn't want one of those because they almost all hold the watch vertically which would negate nightstand mode. Now as of watchOS 4.3 there's a vertical orientation nightstand mode, so a stand like that is more viable.

I'm pretty sure you couldn't damage the watch with these type of install. I mean the watch is water proof, right?

I was more talking about how the install can be tedious. You have to move slowly to make sure the screen protector ends up in the right position. A slight nudge of a finger at the wrong moment can throw it all off. Ended up messing up my first attempt for this reason.

It's also a pain to make the edges stay put since the film itself isn't curved. The trick that worked for me was to use a hair dryer on the screen protector for a few second after applying it to the face of the watch. Then I wrapped the watch in a microfiber cloth, and applied pressure in the palm of my hand for a few minutes. That did the trick.

Also, these screen protectors need time to set and dry. It looked really rough with micro bubbles and clouding last night after the install, but this morning pretty much all those issue were gone.

Try these, just wear nitrile gloves while doing it. Once you’ve polished them to your liking, simply put the cloth back in the pouch & wipe the watch with a microfiber cloth.

I cannot recommend this one enough. I asked the same question on here a few months back as I was struggling with having a screen protector stay on my watch. I've tried others off of Amazon, and multiple Zagg styles. I've been the happiest with this. You do need to be persistent on getting the edges pushed down when you first apply the screen protector, and you need to let it sit undisturbed overnight.
