Dude, 12th-house Saturn has nothing to do with marriages ending. And your Saturn is trine Venus, not to mention you've got Jupiter in Libra in the seventh house! That all points to lucky and long-lasting marriage. I'm not sure what the heck you've been reading, but delete those links or toss out those books!

As for career, the basic gist is this: (1) understand your primal triad, i.e., the personality traits and needs suggested by the placements of your Sun, Moon and ascendant; and then (2) look closely at your tenth house -- the sign on the MC, its ruler, any planets located in the tenth, and what aspects they make. For the primal triad stuff, any good book or website will be helpful, but I particularly recommend Steven Forrest's The Inner Sky: https://www.amazon.com/Inner-Sky-Wiser-Choices-Fulfilling/dp/0979067715

You have Sag on the MC, which suggests a drive to find meaning and inspiration in your work. Neptune in the 10th also points for a need to inspire or be inspired by your career. Also, while your Moon doesn't aspect the MC, the fact that it too is in Sagittarius only strengthens the need to find meaning.

Jupiter, ruler of the 10th, is in Libra in the 7th. The orbs are wide but Jupiter could be considered to be squared by Uranus and Neptune in Cap and Mercury in Cancer. As IcebergTheory pointed out, transiting Pluto is conjuncting your Uranus-Neptune in the 10th and opposing your Mercury; also, transiting Saturn is square Jupiter. So yeah, this is career crisis time. It's about resolving this question: "How do I reconcile my idealism and my quest for meaning (Jupiter-Sag-Neptune) with the need to be responsible and act pragmatically in the world (Saturn-Capricorn)? How can my idealism survive the crucible (Pluto) of the real world (Capricorn)?"

Have you considered becoming an art therapist? Asking because I see both artistic interests/tendencies (Leo Sun in 5th, strong Venus) and somewhat futuristic or alternative healing vibes (Uranus-Neptune in 10th/cusp of 11th), as well as a strong interest in understanding and helping to heal other people (Jupiter in 7th, Chiron in 6th opposite Saturn in 12th; also, Mars in Virgo 6th suggests a strong urge to serve and heal).

If you actually are an artist, then this chart suggests that making art (paintings, music, stories, playing certain roles as an actor, whatever art you do) that inspires and heals people is a way forward for you. Teach and heal through your art. Read up on David Bowie to see an example of how that can be done: https://www.rollingstone.com/music/music-news/david-bowie-how-ziggy-stardust-fell-to-earth-183340/

If making art yourself is not your thing, then to me this looks like the chart of a teacher whose teachings concern human relationships and how to heal them. This could be very spiritual, a la Thomas Moore, who was a psychotherapist for many years and then took the wisdom he'd gained from that career to become a psychospiritual writer (one of his many books: https://www.amazon.com/Care-Soul-Twenty-fifth-Anniversary-Cultivating/dp/0062415670). Or it could literally be alternative healing (acupuncture etc.) aimed at healing people on a more than just physical level. Art therapy could bring both those things together.

Somehow the Jupiter in Libra in the 7th looks very important to me. That placement, plus the angular Venus, suggests to me that relationships are very important, and that your work should involve connecting with/working with other people rather than, say, working in a research lab or making things or engineering buildings or whatever. Being a psychotherapist might be a great way to bring together your urge to teach with your urge to heal and connect with others. And Venus rules your 2nd house, which suggests that earning money (second house) may be connected with relating to others (Venus).

It seems as though you've got good instincts in what to look for in a chart! Everything you noticed about your chart is pertinent in one respect or another, and there a couple of things I noticed too. But first, I'll answer your questions in order.

1.) Those two clusters of planets are in a sextile relationship. Conjunctions occur when planets share a sign, so these are two conjunctions relating in a sextile. That suggests strong links between your conscious mind (Sun), abilities of self-expression (Mercury), intuition (Uranus), and spirituality (Neptune); these might be areas of your life that you will experience minimal strife with.

2.) These are not your beginner's-astrology influences. I'll give you concise explanations for their influences, though: Chiron in our natal charts points to where we have healing powers as the result of accruing and being transformed by our own deep spiritual wounds. The Lillith suggests how we let go of things (events, property, etc) and how we come to terms with the absolute karmic will of the cosmos.

3.) I don't believe that astrology ever gets that specific. Sure, that has happened for other people with that aspect, but you'll find that life (and karma) has a funny way of surprising you when it comes to answering these things. It could mean you marry into a family with business ties that will pay off in the future, or you may simply marry your best friend. Your Mars-Venus Square might give you some trepidation when it comes to finally allowing yourself to accept a relationship as "safe", by your definition.

4.) With your Ascendant and your Moon so closely aspected, there is probably great relationship between how you think of yourself (Moon) and how you actually behave. With both of these influences in Virgo, that probably reflects a strong will to help others. You must always remember to consider if the recipient of your good will would use it constructively and will answer you with gratitude and respect. You are probably more analytic, disciplined, and organized than most other Pisces. You are also probably very stylish.

1, ii.) Astrology, Nutrition & Health is a great resource if you want to start learning how you can affect your daily and lifelong karma in the simplest way: your diet. It's also highly effective at delivering difficult concepts in simple ways. I recommend this as a companion to the one you listed in your post to anybody who asks. Second suggestion is Astrology, Karma & Transformation: The Inner Dimensions of the Birth Chart. This is a great & dense read by Stephen Arroyo who explores in detail the aspects of inner and outer planets.

2, ii.) I have heard of and used the app. it is sufficient, but I as often as possible use Cafe Astrology. They use a great keyword system that aided me immensely when I was first learning the ins and outs.

3, ii.) It's an aesthetic choice, as far as I know. But if somebody knows otherwise, please inform us both!

The water types are said to have depth of emotion, intuitiveness, and high creativity. Not sure about tragedy but they hold memories and people deeply because of their strong bonds and powerful memory (emotions strengthen memories).

Haven't seen a site that interprets a chart that in-depth for free, perhaps because there are a really large number of combinations. That would be cool though, so I imagine someone would make that happen in a decade or so. There are bits of information that you could piece together (investigating about each placement through books and forums and websites, and tying the pieces together ie "Venus Conjunct Mars in Cancer, in First House", etc). There are professional services, the most automated and popular ones being Liz Greene and Robert Hand - intuitive and interactive interpretations, for an overall view (astro.com) and Astrotheme's automated interpretation (in-depth but a bit more segmented and technical).

One site you might be interested in is [Inside Degrees] (http://aquaorfire.net/astrology/inside_degrees/inside_degrees.html), a resource for the meaning or significance of each degree. The most insightful resources for gaining an intuitive understanding of astrology are personal experience, a curiosity for people and an appreciation of how they express themselves (usually unconsciously, through the higher mind or from experience), an awareness of how life continuously shifts through the [Planets in Transit] (http://www.amazon.com/Planets-Transit-Life-Cycles-Living/dp/0924608269) (Robert Hand and Robert Pelletier's books are pretty legit), and continuous reflection. My preferred resource for daily transits is [astrotheme] (http://www.astrotheme.com/transits_ephemerides_chart.php), and for general browsing I thoroughly enjoy astrolocherry's webpage.

Disclaimer; not an astrologer, probably not pro enough to do a legit reading yet; still learning and trying to become more intuitive about astrology/earth/life~

That's really neat that your aunt was that into astrology! While all charts are unique and some have some particularly potent configurations, it's easy to cherry pick things and call them "rare" or "special" when they're really not. There are so many moving pieces to consider that every chart is quite interesting.

It's amazing that you have all the notebooks and whatnot. While this subreddit isn't for chart readings, I highly recommend you grab a book, either one of hers or a newer one, and acquaint yourself with the basics. Additionally, if you can I would get a consultation with a professional. It's a great foray into astrology and will give you a starting point if you decide to start learning a thing or two about charts yourself. You have a really cool opportunity with this, and I'm sure your aunt would be delighted!

As far as books, I recommend Horoscope Symbols by Rob Hand, and Understanding the Birth Chart by Kevin Burk in that order. As far as professional astrologers, I recommend anyone on the referral list at the bottom of this post, particularly Kelly Surtees and Austin Coppock. I recommend shopping around and reading some writings of the various professionals on the list to see which ones you like the best.

Best of luck to you!

>Or that you have to do things from 1 to 12 because ontologically it makes more sense.

I could accuse you of the same thing, you know. You're also advocating a 1-12 order, just an order that isn't naturally associated with the thing you're trying to organize so is inherently less meaningful.

I'm pointing out that the houses and signs are at different levels of being (which you, yourself have admitted) and that this different level of being means that they undergo different experiences (such as different directions of cyclical motion) and you're saying that it's "bunk" to treat them differently based on that? The experiential and visible astronomy plays a huge part in astrological symbolism and dismissing it as bunk is really shortsighted. Not only does the astronomical reality get dismissed, but also the foundation and original understanding of the astrological system itself. It isn't just about adhering to a numbered order (which is really more of an argument against the idea that you propose than the one I am), but a perceivable motion. Why should the order of the signs have any bearing on the meaning of the houses when they don't move in the same order?

You're right that astrology is a system that's designed to be used as a whole, but that doesn't mean that the varying parts of astrology are all the same. The houses, signs, planets, aspects, and dignities all provide separate functions that come together to paint a grander picture.

>Yes children are a part of the fifth house and relationships are the seventh and sex is the eighth which is after the fifth, but to say that things must be in order in that sense sounds more like a construct of what things could be like rather than how and why these people who have studied and developed this art and science.

I'm not saying that these things ought to be in order. The system that Sasporatas put forth claims that things ought to be in an order that follows a psychological progression or awareness, I'm merely pointing out that his system fails to do that when examined critically. Making excuses for it doesn't rectify the problem with a system that is presented as following a certain logical pattern, but doesn't. It means the system is flawed.

>Especially considering that they thought the world was flat and that earth was the center of the solar system. Not to say it isn’t important and pivotal, but archaic and outdated is more like it considering that we are in the year 2017 and astrology has been advanced greatly especially in the 19h and 20th century, it was an astrological Renaissance which I’m sure you’re aware of. Modern astrology is not perfect yet but it has definitely come a long way.

You've made a number of statements that have made it pretty clear that you're unfamiliar with the history, development, and even some of the more technical aspects of astrology. Nicholas Campion's series on The History of Western Astrology and James Holden's History of Horoscopic Astrology are really great reads that flesh out astrology's own growth and development as well as it's place in the overall culture to where it finds itself. Dismissing classical astrology as "old and archaic" is really silly. It's the original framework within which astrology was conceived and constructed and not being more aware of it isn't something to write off as inconsequential. That you think historical astrologers (or the general population) really thought the Earth was flat is more of a reflection of your understanding than it is theirs.

I strongly recommend searching terms on astro.com's Astrowiki, it's one of the most credible resources you'll find on the web since it's run by Astrodienst.

I'd first start by trying to understand the planets as they are in their signs--so in your case, Venus in Sagittarius. Usually you can just google those, and you'll get a lot of interpretations in the results, so its up to you to come to a general understanding, as planet/sign combinations can look different for everyone depending on other factors.

Once you've done that, you can begin to compare planets in signs with other planets in signs (and somewhere along this line you'll want to take a look at house symbolism. It can be a lot to digest at once, but rewarding when you start making discoveries...or you could start with houses and their traditional rulership first to make things a bit easier--this is sometimes called the 'astrological alphabet').

Now, I have this really great book by Demetra George that was recommended to me on one of the astrology subreddits, and it has done wonders for my learning. It has you writing what's called 'astro-sentences,' where you take keywords of the planet, sign, and house and craft them into sentences you can understand. You do the same with aspects between planets, and she also shows you how to interpret transits. Of course, the book starts with the barebones of astrology though, so if you would consider yourself a beginner, this is a really, really good one to look at. I'd still consider myself a beginner too but... holy cow, the things I've learned man! The things I've learned! (Sorry... Gemini Ascendant...)

Anyway, I hope that's even a little helpful!

Hi! Definitely look at your north node house placement. I once read a post that was like
North Node: My destiny is to sign In house area of life.
But I have my north node in the 8th house and I know it relates to letting people help you. In the past life you were self sufficient Taurus who worked hard for the things they owned. Someone who had material security. In this life, ask for help. Let go of material needs. Find spiritual security or something along those lines.

But also, I recently found this wonderful book on north and south nodes. It’s very informative

Here is a few pages of the Scorpio/8th house chapter!

There’s a lot more in the scorpio chapter, as well. But I just didn’t think it would be cool or fair to the author, to like post the entire thing. The book is worth it, would recommend.

You are correct, what you have done for the past 15+ years was great, but it's almost time to start all over again. You are right on time with the Saturn cycle. I wrote an e-book on this if you're interested in that kind of thing: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07HV8SD8N

But briefly stated, Saturn operates on a 30-year cycle. When it's in the 4th House (or IC), we begin all over again with our careers and life directions. We work on it steadily for 14-15 years until Saturn reaches the zenith in the 10th House (or Midheaven).

This zenith is a time of celebration but also a glass ceiling of sorts, and you then spend the next 14-15 years freefalling, exhausting/enjoying the fruits of your hard labor.

Where you're at right now is Saturn transiting the 3rd House, the very last House it transits before entering the 4th House where you can start all over again with a new foundation. As such, you are at the ends of your rope now, directionless, looking for purpose/vision but unable to find one. Perhaps you find yourself just "doing what works" now or "winging it." Soon, in 1-2 years, you'll enter the foundational phase and figure something out that will again materialize into a longterm climb.

I hope you are not so down. This is a difficult phase but temporary. I'm actually quite excited for you. Hold on and you'll get there soon. For the meantime, enjoy the last phase of your freefall period. Saturn 3rd teaches the gift of the here and now, the wonderful Present. Once Saturn enters the 4th, it's the start of some real hard work, but a new beginning nonetheless.

To answer your question OP, humor. The answer is humor. Gemini is quippy and Capricorn is sarcastic. Try expressing yourself through dry, honest humor. But really, Gemini is not all that significant aside from your Rising. Sagittarius & the 9th House are far more important as you have a stellium there.

The other commenters are referring to transit Saturn (& later on, transit Pluto). Saturn is currently at 20° Capricorn & Pluto is currently at 23° Capricorn - both retrograde. Your Saturn Return is not for many more years. When Saturn returns to your birth sign of Aries- around 29 years of age.

Relevant Transits: to plug into your favorite search engine & find additional information on

  • Transit Saturn in the 8th House (Saturn’s Retrograde will briefly return to your 8H this summer, and then move into your 9th House)
  • Transit Saturn in the 9th House
  • Transit Pluto in the 9th House
  • Transit Saturn conjunct Sun (26° CAP)
  • Transit Saturn conjunct Neptune (27° CAP)
  • Transit Saturn conjunct Jupiter (28° CAP)
  • Transit Pluto conjunct Sun (26° CAP)
  • Transit Pluto conjunct Neptune (27° CAP)
  • Transit Pluto Jupiter (28° CAP)

Saturn & Pluto move at different speeds, the timing of these conjunctions will vary. To find out when these conjunctions occur, consult an ephemeris:

I know how you feel, it’s really difficult to put yourself out there. Creations are intimate expressions of the self. Erykah badus quote “Now keep in mind that I’m an artist and I’m sensitive about my shit” always reminds me that sensitivities ARE vulnerabilities. You are being vulnerable. You have to give yourself the credit where it’s due. I think the issue is fear like how you say you’re terrified- fear of rejection, fear of being misinderstood, fear of the feeling of exposure. The book I linked might help you. Your analysis of yourself is great, but also too harsh. One thing that you can change and that you do have control over with enough discipline are your thoughts. Get out of your head, as lame as that sounds. Really though, no one can do it but you. Positive thinking practices will help you, whether it’s clearing your thoughts through meditation or exercise, positive affirmations, or just really shutting your pervasive and invasive thoughts down. Use that strong mental energy you have that you’re using against yourself and put it into your work and what you love.

another thing I would add to your chart though is it having your moon in the tenth house. Something more for you to research and reflect on. When you’re in the public eye, you can get emotional, negative or positive emotions. There are ways around this. There are many artists who stay in the background and let their work speak for themselves. I know a big part of being an artist in a way is selling yourself, but really the people you need to sell yourself to are the people who are going to display your work. You can still be your low key public version of yourself in the art world and have your work shine.

This was the book I read.

Regarding emotional detachment, my dad was the one with an Aquarius moon. His mother was very nurturing as a Taurus sun, but she had her moon in Capricorn which can be very cold. I think that contributed to the emotional detachment. His sun is in Scorpio though, so he is still a very emotional, sensitive person. (So was she, honestly. Her AC was Scorpio.)

A very unique chart, I don't know if I've seen one of these in a long time.

There is not much written intelligently about the Pentagram shape aspect. One author I recommend is here - https://www.amazon.com/DYNAMICS-ASPECT-ANALYSIS-2ND-ED/dp/0916360563
Bill Tierney.

Also look into the symbolism of the number 5 - the number of humanity, the 5 senses, the union of mind and matter, has a lot to do with magic obviously. Also Mercury is 5 - mental skills, special intelligence, knowledge.

u/darnok123 · 3 pointsr/AskAstrologers

Your best bet will probably be in book form. This book covers the known history of Horoscopic Astrology: http://www.amazon.co.uk/History-Horoscopic-Astrology-Herschel-Holden/dp/0866904638

Probably best to be aware though that the astrology of the Hellenistic period had become more of a chart reading exercise than an observational, astronomical one. The Mesopotamians were the real skywatchers of Western astrology. So it will be hard to say when exactly it split with Astronomy. I'd say, for sure, that the ironically-named "Enlightenment" period while not an out-of-the-blue separation, should be considered the death knell for that particular relationship.

u/FadiMazboudi · -2 pointsr/AskAstrologers

Might as well ask for books on Solar Arcs lol.
https://www.amazon.com/Saturn-Returns-Astrologically-Tom-Jacobs/dp/1451598688/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1512024893&sr=8-1&keywords=Saturn+return

Besides, if you knew how to interpret a SR, you'd know how to interpret any return by applying the pure symbolism of the planet.

There's different view on the subject,

this book is a very interesting read "Personology" by Gary Goldschneider

[Gary Goldschneider chart] (http://www.astro.com/astro-databank/Goldschneider,_Gary)

In this book Gary explain 48 different weeks, 12 of them where each cusp are blend with both sign mix up, position where his own 29' degree mars + pluto, 1 degree sun, 2 degree jupiter + venus fall into. So while reading it i see his personal testimony on the matter.

I stop using the concept and now back on the classical cutoff menu. Still many cusp heavy people seem to fell what you describe.
