Well, I'm not sure what you might like, some of the modern stuff might be a little too postmodern and chaotic, since it seems like you prefer books with a strong story. The one I mentioned, "Crystal Express" by Bruce Sterling is this way. It's short stories, but they don't have any strong narrative arc or anything, they're basically just very atmospheric pieces. And I would describe them as somewhat disorienting, as well.

One sci-fi book that I really love, it's probably my favorite, is a series called "The Saga of Pliocene Exile" by Julian May. It's almost like a combination of sci-fi and fantasy and it has a really strong and absorbing story line. Wow, I really loved this series when I first found and read it. I never understood how it didn't get a wider audience.

(Please ignore the cheesy 80s cover, it really is a good book.)

That’s a great book, and I would highly recommend it to anyone in a serious relationship.

For those not familiar, it’s called The Five Love Languages. The five are:

  • Quality Time
  • Touch
  • Words of Affirmation
  • Acts of Service
  • Gifts

Everyone has different love languages that they need to be spoken to them to feel loved. My wife and I try our best to speak each other’s love languages. Understanding this is the key to solving a lot of the “I don’t feel loved” problems in a relationship.

The shy ones are v skittish and will flee at the first sign of danger.

  1. Lower your visibility. You need proximity to land your prize but you can lower your profile by building a wall of books/binders/etc
  2. Attract via smell. A small plate of freshly cooked chicken nuggets and a small fan work wonders. Note: Make sure not to place yourself between fan and target or he may catch your scent and bolt.
  3. Attempt mating calls. Different species are attracted to different things. Start with playing anime theme songs and work your way towards memeified things like Africa. WARNING: Keep volume low or they'll be startled!
  4. Make the catch. I suggest this.

    Good luck!

Yes, exactly. Despite what the nonreligious say, you do find out if you approach it in a healthy way. I highly recommend reading God Loves Sex. Most public libraries will have a copy for borrowing

I was fortunate to have an opportunity to learn how to work on cars when I was younger. While I never had any desire to be a full time mechanic, I hate paying shops more. Newer cars while complex, they still can be done by the DIY mechanic. A good two way scanner will go a long ways. For $100, I recommend the blue driver as a good one way scanner. I use it with my ipad to do any kind of diagnosis on cars. I'm still shopping for a good two way scanner to do any kind of testing/diagnosis. \> if women experience this as well

Of course they do. Why wouldn't they? If anything, I'd say that women often deal with it more frequently, and for a wider variety of different reasons. But up until recently, society as a whole didn't give that issue the consideration it deserves.

For example, birth control and mental-health medication can drastically affect a woman's ability to orgasm, and different brands affect each woman differently (because biology is a jerk).

Yes, women can get over-stimulated (clitorally or otherwise), and that can affect their ability to have orgasms, but from my experience (as an attentive partner, not a vagina-owner), that's not the entire issue. There are a lot of variables involved, and many of them are mental.

An ex of mine, who dealt with this issue, recommends this book as a valuable resource on the topic.
