Actual book description:

>In the Ancient Scrolls of His written teachings, Jesus taught very clearly in simple words:

>The obligation of all people to have great wealth for the good of all.

>How to have great wealth no matter how poor, or small you start.

>That it is so easy for the very rich to enter the kingdom of heaven.

>That it is very spiritual to have great wealth for the right purposes.

>That the statement”you can not serve God and money”, actually means to have more money, not less.

>That the very rich should generate much more and how.

>He told the Apostles and the disciples to keep their wealth, but not take it in their purses, for they were worthy of pay where they ministered.

>Also, many wealthy women traveled with Jesus and financed His ministry. One of these wealthy women of great influence was the wife of rich Herod’s business manager. (LK 8:1-3).

>These ancient scrolls are labeled Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John.
>They originally, accurately recorded all the wealth – Dominion – teachings of Jesus for the benefit of all persons. Over 2,000 years later these scrolls still teach the same simple truths of easy success for all.

>These scrolls are now in the Book called the Bible. Here they are for you in this book on the scrolls-to-gold-teachings-of-Jesus, the Master Teacher of true capitalism, etc.

>PEACE,

>David & Suzie Wells

No, no, I feel the same way. I was really confused by Sodom and Gamorrah for a long time too, but re-reading it and some commentaries points out that most of the people were so irredeemable and evil that God basically purged them to save the good people. Before the great flood it seemed like sin was a lot 'harsher' and more fully controlling of 'man's nature'. I agree that there's still evil in the world but imagine a city full of animalistic people only driven by their own desires, that's what I interprete S&G as, (kinda like a much worse version of The 3%).

To address the holiness vs patience and merciful--I read a book within the last year called [None like Him, by Jen Wilkin](None Like Him: 10 Ways God Is Different from Us (and Why That's a Good Thing) https://www.amazon.com/dp/1433549832/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_9KWdBb6CK6NPT) that helps a lot with understanding the "controveries" in the understanding of God.
I also just listened to a sermon about how if you're not in a relationship with God, not to mistake his patience and kindness in your life as "everything is okay", and iirc-- if you are in a relationship with him, understand that you are still a sinner and tragedy will also befall you, and that's okay, he's there regardless. (PM if you want and hopefully it's online by now).

Also, please remember that the Bible was written by about 40 people, over the course of 1,500 years with great continuity. Yes the overall author is God, and he filled the authors with 'inspiration from the Holy Spirit', but it's still from men's POV, and their experiences with God/Jesus. I'm not the best person to argue this point, but if you haven't read commentaries or at least CS Lewis's books, it a hard to understand how these incredibly graphic scenes actually do narrate the human redemption.

I find it easier to deal with the trinity like: the Holy spirit fills and guides you (kinda mystic but idk what else to do with it, the HS is the hard one, also gave the disciples "tongues of fire" which made them universally understandable to all peoples, like reverse tower of Babel). God the Father is totally separated from sin because of his infinite holiness, and while he is all the good virtues, his infinite goodness would kill a sinful mortal, he is judgement day incarnate for all who have sinned. Jesus, however, is the bridge for man to get back to God: "Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life; whoever does not obey the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God remains on him." (John 3:36).

And no problem! Tbh I love talking about this stuff because I always end up learning more :)

Edit--also wanted fo say in regards to the time-local thing for the spreading of christianity, here is a link to a John Piper article about it. I dont agree with everything Piper has ever said but I think he has some good points in there, basically God is much more harsh to those who have heard and not believed/"turned away".

Amazon has them. I'd recommend marble because that's what I have the most experience with, but this stainless steel version has pretty good reviews if you prefer that aesthetic.

> That many snail shells would be larger than the land mass of Italy

This shows Approximately 180 filling a 1/2 Gallon bag and weighting 4oz.

That is a volume of about 19cm^3 and weight of 0.62gr per.

8,000,000,00019cm^3 = 192000 m^3

8,000,000,000
0.62gr = 4960000 kg

QED: a 8 billion snail shells would be about a cube 58m (190ft) per side, weighing about 5000 tons.
