I have played pretty much my whole life and never once used a mouth guard for basketball. I also don't recall seeing anyone else using one. Overall I really don't believe they are necessary for the average person in basketball. If you have a dental issue then yes ask a dentist. If, for some reason it makes you more comfortable to have one, there are several options. I use this somewhat regularly for BJJ and while its kind of bulky it works just fine. If you plan on using it for a long time though you might just invest in a custom one so you can communicate better with your team.

The Little Tikes one of these is the shit. Somehow the balls have a great feel (both shooting and dribbling) and the net gives a satisfying swish. If you have little ones you need one of these. Absolutely my favorite baby toy, plus my two year old is working on her handles.

I've never used one before, only experience I have with wearables in bball is my teammate's apple watch falling off in a game and I rescued it before it got stomped on. From the Reviews and Q&A section of the fitbit inspire clip on amazon, seems like it will do a solid job slipping on to part of your shorts or laced into your shoes.

I've put in a lot of hours on a Lifetime system. Not that model, but similar. Held up great. Got slammed on. Never a problem. Sturdy.

> Wilson NCAA

This ball right here or the offical one?

Is it better than Nike true grip? I want something as close to the evolution as possible since that is the ball our tournaments uses. I understand that the evo is a no good ball for outdoors.

Not sure the exact part name, but you may be able to hack together a solution with a pipe clamp and some hardware. Something like this or this.

“The inner game of tennis” https://www.amazon.ca/Inner-Game-Tennis-Classic-Performance/dp/0679778314 is probaby the best book I’ve ever read on sports psychology. Give it a shot!

Although it isn't specifically geared towards basketball tactics and skill building, I think Bill Simmons book The Book of Basketball is really good. At least the section on "the secret."

Your ankles would still be weak while you are recovering. Do the training that lukeno23 recommended. At the same time put on ankle bracers if you do play. They help to prevent ankles quite a lot. At least for me. I had similar weak ankle issues. Bracers and strengthening.

This is the bracer I got. It is light and very secure. A hassle to out on, but so glad I had it when I rolled my ankle. It didn't roll and simply roll back to normal. http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B000UVVXPA?cache=6f9267c9f858df05d9f25622ac63325c&pi=SY200_QL40&qid=1412328858&sr=8-3#ref=mp_s_a_1_3

Check the book "erratic fire, erratic passion" by Jeff Parker and Pasha Malla. Its a collection of "found poetry;" actually just a bunch of post game interviews from athletes (lots of bball, but also Mike Tyson, Anna Kournikova, Ben Johnson...)
