It's actually really awesome cardio! :) It's totally a great workout for someone like me who hates running, and I've seen some studies say it's just as effective as getting out for a jog (but TBH most of those studies were published by jump-roping advocacy groups so who knows, lol).

Haha that's okay, I didn't know either! Are you in the UK or stateside? This is the bestselling one on Amazon, and only $7! If you're short like me you can pop the handles off and get the rope to your ideal length. Haha. I also believe Target has them!

I have to shower at night because it takes me forever to wake up in the mornings.

For my showering process:

  1. Turn the water on, wait forever for it to heat up because I live in an older building and sometimes it dosnt heat up at all (cold showers SUCK). While I wait I get nakie and go to the bathroom if I have to.

  2. Then I remember I forgot a towel again because my bathroom is too small to keep more than one towel in it at a time and my boyfriend always forgets to put one back so I run into the bedroom naked and grab a super duper huge fluffy towel and head back to the bathroom

  3. Once I'm in the shower I get myself all wet (ooh baby)

  4. Shampoo and rinse. Twice. I think I have OCD. I dont know this is bad for my hair but I feel like I'm still dirty if I dont wash my hair twice. I use Vadel Sassoon (the repairing one). I love the smell of this

  5. Throw some conditioner in my hair and step out of the spray of the shower so my hair can sit with conditioner in it. Again I use the Vidal Sasson repairing one.

  6. Wash private areas with gentle soap. I use the sensitive skin Dove soap

  7. At some point during my shower ferrets will invade and start dancing in the water. They eventually get cold so I pick them up and put them outside of the shower (we leave a towel on the floor so they can dry themselves off after, this normally lasts until I'm done my shower anyways).

  8. Shave private areas, legs and armpits. I use the Shick Quattro Trimstyle razor with handy trimmer with the sensitive blades. I use either a cheap conditioner like herbal essences as a shave cream or I use a cheap equate shave gel.

  9. I wash my face. I switch off between exfoliating St.Ives scrub and a Garnier oil cleanser. If I'm using the oil cleanser I do it out of the shower.

  10. I alternate days with using either a body scrub or a shower cream. For my body scrubs I use either the Honeymania Body Scrub from The Body Shop or the Mango Body Scrub Which is also from the body shop. For my shower cream I use the Brazil Nut shower cream that smells like cookies!!!!

  11. I rinse off and get out of the shower. Then I use a lotion on my skin (especially where my tattoo is). Lately I've been using the Brazil nut body butter from The Body Shop. Even though it dosnt smell like the shower cream :c

Its not really glamourous and most of my products are really cheap. But I love the feeling of a shower!

Edit: Realised I didnt put down my morning routine.

  12. Alarm goes off

  13. Fuck around pretending to sleep for at least 15 minutes after the alarm has gone off

  14. Get up, grab my uniform and head to the bathroom

  15. Put on uniform while going to the bathroom to save time

  16. Spend way too much time on my makeup and freak out when i realise im going to miss my bus if I dont hurry my
    ass

  17. Grab stuff for a lunch and throw it into my bag

  18. Forget at least one thing when walking out the door and have to turn back

  19. Run and catch my bus (or miss it because Im fuckin stupid)

I own aquariums and have cats and dogs (I used to have rats! RIP Margo and Lilac). I am also a nurse, so I am constantly washing my hands.

  • Don't use alcohol based hand sanitizers.

  • Get a moisturizing hand soap for home (I use softsoap, its pretty cheap).

  • I use these gloves when I am rearranging/cleaning out my aquarium to protect my skin from the chemicals.

  • This hand cream is awesome. Even if you just apply it in the morning when you wake up, and at night before bed, you will notice a difference. Its small enough that I can keep it in my scrub pockets and apply it after washing my hands every once in a while throughout the day.

  • You can slather your hands in moisturizer/vaseline before bed and put on some gloves like these while you sleep. I have tried it a few times, and it makes my hands soft, but it feels weird to sleep with gloves on.

  • You could try using something like New-Skin on your hangnails instead of band aids to protect them from bacteria while they heal. They are less unsightly and the rats are less likely to pick them off.

Those are all the tips I can think of right now! Hopefully something in there is useful!

Get the WetBrush! It's super cheap and doesn't rip out all your hair. Best purchase in a while!

Round brush - I use this one by Cricket. I've had it for about a year and a half and I really like it. I went with the 2" as my hair is pretty limp at times but I know my mom uses a smaller 1" barrel by them and is happy with it.

I've been using this one and I've had zilch issues with it transferring on my pillows! It definitely stained my hands and sink putting it on, but it moved with dishwashing liquid nearly right away, and I haven't noticed it staining anything else. I had a bath to rinse it yesterday, and my bathwater definitely went pink, but my bath itself and my hair didn't! It's a very low ratio of dye to conditioner, which I think might be why.

EDIT: It definitely did stain my towel though! That was the only victim.

I loved this! For the deodorant, the only aluminum free one that worked for me was Lavilin deodorant (http://www.amazon.com/Lavilin-Underarm-Deodorant-Cream-12-5/dp/B0013OXEFU). It's a cream so it's kind of a hassle to put on.

For the sunscreen do you mind a whitecast?

THIS GUY! Though I got it off Amazon through KORIN (I SWEAR it was sold out through Chef's Knives to Go when I made the decision to buy it last week, otherwise I would've bought it there -- I love those horrible, horrible enablers), and I'm not sure what I ordered comes with the adorable plum flower design. They didn't specify!

I have this guy and this guy.

The nine incher is a little bit excessive for tiny little me to use for certain projects, so I wanted an eight inch knife, and I also wanted to transition into carbon steel. They're easier to sharpen, hold their edge better, and the extra maintenance needed is moot because I already clean my knife blade between veg. Usually. I'll have to upgrade that to "always," but it won't be much of a change. I almost never use my santoku anymore.

Also, silly me, I forgot to grab a ceramic honer. Gr.

Just chiming in. There are "hair donuts" you can buy specifically for this purpose, but you can also cut the toe out of a sock, roll it up, and use it inside your bun. This method will make the bun bigger, more shapely, and easier to secure.

Something else you might try is a texturizer. It makes your hair more voluminous and less slippery.

I bought this: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0036C0RT8/ref=oh_details_o00_s01_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1. The jars don't come with sisters but that doesn't bother me. It does have a little tray that all the jars sit in which is nice for storage.

Four nails?! Oh no :( Have you ever tried OPI Nail Envy? Stuff works pretty well.

And 30 minutes a week on nails are definitely realistic! I take out a time every Saturday or Sunday to work on my nails ranging from 30 minutes to longer depending on the design I want to do.

I love the Clio liner as well! Amazon usually has them for around $14, sometimes with Prime shipping (here is one with Prime for $15.50), but some listings do ship from Asia and take about 3 weeks to arrive.

I don't have too much experience with their strip wax, but I've been using a variety of their hard non-strip wax for years. My favorite is the Brazilian bikini wax.

This is the American version of hada labo. They are the same company but this is their US line. I think you are looking for this. Hope this helps!
