If you have access to an Android device, the app I like the best is Katana Librarian: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.appsforamps.katana

You also need a usb otg cable: UGREEN Micro USB to USB, Micro USB 2.0 OTG Cable 2 Pack On The Go Adapter Micro USB Male to USB Female for Samsung S7 S6 Edge S4 S3, LG G4, Dji Spark Mavic Remote Controller, Android Tablets (Black) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00N9S9Z0G/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_1IkCCb4CY3Y8K

I can confirm this one works for me. I really like the interface, it has the sneaky amps and a couple of extra effects, including the Tera Echo, which sounds amazing... I never review anything and I had to give it 5 stars. As with anything tech related, your particular configuration might be trouble but I've had great success with that app.

https://www.amazon.com/Hosa-FSC-385-Footswitch-Guitar-style-Dual-latching/dp/B000VXKUL0/ref=sr_1_1?s=musical-instruments&ie=UTF8&qid=1540398033&sr=1-1&keywords=fsc+385
If you have the up to date firmware, this Hosa footswitch, which is much cheaper than any of the boss ones, will expand the K50 to 4 channels so you could have multiple cleans and leads channels.
I have and use this pedal all the time. It is relatively durable but provides all you need to access all the channels the K50 can do at about half the price.
The K50 is different than all the other Katana amps because it is the only one that does not work with the Boss big pedalboard, but this pedal made a huge difference for me with my K50 and I am super happy with it.

I just got an M Audio M Gear EX-P from Amazon for about $25 bucks. It came yesterday and definitely does the job an expression pedal should. It’s a plastic housing so if you’re out gigging, it may not last but for $25 it’s pretty good. Here’s the link-

Hosa FSC-385 Dual Latching Guitar... https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B000VXKUL0?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

Edit: This thing is awesome and is way cheaper than the Boss pedal.

I use the overpriced GAFC for the 100 but usually see the FS6 or 7 recommended for the 50. The FS6 goes for about $70 new and around $40 used. There are cheaper under $30 options available. I believe there some livewire and hosa latching pedals that people pair with the Katana that work fine. I’d watched one or two YouTube videos that show how they are set up and see if that’s what your looking for.

Here’s a video from boss showing the FS6: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=Wqu82m2Pf00

Sure. You can do it a couple ways -

  1. Connect the EVH 5150iii FX Send OUT to the Katana 100's FX Return, which bypasses the Katana's preamp (make sure you set up the FX loop in the Kanata/Tone Studio so that you have access to all the FX slots) and use the SS Power Amp side to drive the Katana's speaker. NOTE: The EVH 5150 iii is a Tube amp, so you MUST have a load on the amp (speaker or dummy/attenuator load) hooked up to the speaker out before doing this. Not doing it will break something important in the EVH, and it will cost you money.

  2. Disconnect the speaker leads from the Katana's speaker and hook up a speaker cable that connects to the EVH 5150iii's speaker out. Select the proper impedance from the EVH's cab selector, and you'll essentially use the Katana 100 as an open back cabinet for the 5150iii head. The 5150iii lunchbox is only 15W, so you'll not have any issues overpowering the Katana 100's speaker. NOTE: IF YOU DO THIS, consider replacing the cheap spade connectors that are currently on the Katana's speaker hook ups. IF THESE CONNECTORS TOUCH EACH OTHER AND THE KATANA IS POWERED ON, YOU WILL BLOW THE KATANA'S AMPILIFER, which will render your Katana dead.

I HIGHLY recommend cutting off the cheap female spades that are on the Katana's speaker leads and replacing them with some crimp on INSULATED female spades like these:

    https://www.amazon.com/Yueton-100pcs-Insulated-Terminal-Connectors/dp/B010GWZOUW/ref=pd_lpo_vtph_60_bs_t_1?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=3X943RD62DVH2NFTZ8RZ

You can find them at any hardware store, and will protect the spades from touching each other if you accidentally turn the Katana on without having the leads connected to a speaker and prevent them from shorting between each other and damaging your Katana.

I recently picked up a Digitech drop pedal and it's badass. Detune your guitar one half step at a time with the turn of a knob. Takes the guesswork out of everything.

Nope, it doesn't. This (USB A to B) is what you need, as I recall.

I just bought the katana 50 with THIS bad boy and it's good, kinda tricky but makes the function

This should work, but I would get something more fancy like this, because the little shits tend to break, or become loose over time.
