Check this out, great book written by Boston Globe reporter Fluto Shinzawa: The Big 50: The Men and the Moments that Made the Boston Bruins

It'll get you started. Wikipedia is also good source, and of course this subreddit is good place to ask. I'm relatively new to reddit, but I've found out that people in this subreddit are very nice and friendly! So don't be afraid to ask around if you want to know something.

I highly recommend amazon. It isn't a place you look for something specific for deals, BUT recently I have bought a lot of things for 10$ and under that are now 75$ plus. For example I search for Boston Bruins and then prime and then simply take time to go through every page.

I bought:

The quality of all of these are amazing... Love CCM gear. It is priced way high now (or so it seems) but just browse whenever, you would be surprised of the deals you can find.

If you can get your hands on [Gerry Cheever's autobiography] (http://www.amazon.com/Unmasked-Gerry-Cheevers/dp/0984384537), it's a great read.
I've also heard good things about Jeremy Roenick's book.

There's a book literally called the history of the boston bruins. I believe there is one for every original six team. http://www.amazon.com/The-Bruins-Brian-McFarlanes-Original/dp/077373189X

Open Net by George Plimpton. He was a hell of a sportswriter and this book details his time in the Bruins training camp having agreed to work toward playing goalie for 5 minutes during a preseason game for the 78-79 (I think) season.

Lots of locker room stuff, asides about personalities on the team, and interesting notes about Bruins and hockey history. And it's a short read.
