My lifesaver has been Cindy's Balsamic Vinaigrette It is DELICIOUS and I put it everything! They also have a Vegan Thousand Island you may like too! I usually take sliced bell peppers and some Cindy's to dip it in (so you can digest all that fibrous goodness) as a quick snack. Apples and almond butter are yummy, and microwavable lentils similar to these can make for a good snack when you want a little more than just a fruit or veggie.

I was in a similar place. Take processed sugar out of your diet for good. Try to limit high sugar fruits and vegetables too. Try exercising to get rid of the negative thoughts, it really helps but you have to start and do it pretty regularly. And if you think for sure it's candida then try this "Dr Tobias Candida Support" https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00YCPY87U/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_YKZuDb982X1VS . Its working wonders for me and I'm shocked it actually works. Read the reviews as well that's what gave me some hope.

The way I understand die-off type reactions is that they mean that your detoxification pathways are overwhelmed...not necessarily that lots of things are dying (but it may be both). Medications, natural or otherwise, can be harsh and may need to be processed by our liver or other detox pathways.

So, before we start trying to kill things, I think it's wise to try and support our detoxification pathways. We also need to work to support our immune system that will naturally kill (or at least make them weaker to supplements) things like candida even without external supplements or medication that.

So - once this "die off/dextox pathway overwhelm" stops - or even before then - I would look very deeply these aspects of your life:

  • sleep - the book why we sleep - nearly everything recommended in that book is free and high quality sleep over time can massively improve your and immune function and support your detoxification pathways https://www.amazon.com/Why-We-Sleep-Unlocking-Dreams/dp/1501144316
  • blood sugar control - figure out how to manage your blood sugar - things like protein, fat and fiber are your friend in this regard. Meal spacing can be another factor.
  • stress - the more intense the stress and the longer lasting it is, the more we need to sort this out. We may need to make significant changes to our life - we may need to change our perspective for things we can't change - or we may need to make a longer term plan...not easy, but has a massive impact.
  • movement - I would look at the recommendations for elderly people and start to make sure that those minimum thresholds of movement are met every day --- I've found in my own life that BM's, energy and arthritic symptoms get completely turned around with the right intensity and type of movement. You shouldn't do things that make you feel terrible - eg. if you feel like you were run over by a bus the day after working out, dial it back

Sorry for the late reply, my internet got shut off, haha. I started going on an anti-candida diet, cut out as much sugar as I could, no processed foods, I ate scrambled eggs with coconut oil, garlic, and turmeric for breakfast, nothing for lunch, and a chicken thigh with either a spinach/spring mix salad mix or broccoli and cauliflower. This brought me up to about 25%, then I started drinking Bragg's apple cider vinegar (1 tablespoon per 8 ounces) twice a day and that brought me up to about 50% and taking Advanced Multi-Billion Dophilus. That's all I ate for about a month. Some issues with that is weight loss, fatigue, and my wounds heal extremely slow now. I have a major surgery next week and I need to go back to a balanced diet so I can heal again but I definitely felt like if I have stayed on that diet I'd feel about 75%-100% better in another month or so. Good luck!

I don’t know how to diagnose - I can only see the obvious in that luckily 2/3 are in range and one is slightly high. I’m not sure how sensitive that 0.2 over can be.
I’ve read amazing things about Dr. Tobias CandidaFX - I’ve been using his Pre-Biotic and it’s great. I haven’t used the CandidaFX due to being on another treatment plan already, but I would if I could. Try checking it out if you’re interested, and/or see if you can find someone who specializes in Candida in your area (I’m seeing both a GI and acupuncturist).

Me too, ive tried many things..i have serious skin sensitivity, i had a bad reactions on some creams i was prescribed by doctors.

Two questions

  • Did you have antifungal supplements regime, for a period of time ?
  • Did you get a rebound candida after your the course of Diflucan, Lamisil, Ibuprofen, Apolactoferrin ?

Id like to try 2 x pills per day of 'now' candida support it, contains Pau D'Arco, Oregano Oil, Black Walnut & Caprylic Acid. Then 1 x 20CFU probiotic pill per day at night.

Whilst being on a healthy strict diet

Here you can read some reviews for the candida support supplements. I recommend reading the review of user 'Guter' she managed to get rid of chronic candida with a specific regime.

Pro 50 from Vitamin Bounty

Ultra 30 from Island’s Miracle

These are the two I’ve been taking, specifically chosen for certain helpful strains, especially against candida. The latter seems to be particularly helpful

Yes, the spore probiotics are probably 1-2 years old. When I was first given them by my holistic doc last year, they said it was very new to the market.

I get my lactoferrin (and most of my supplements) from Amazon. I have no idea that this brand is any better than others, but Jarrow is a reputable brand. I'm sure other brands are good as well, but to answer the question:

Probiotic Bacteria Alter Pattern-Recognition Receptor Expression and Cytokine Profile in a Human Macrophage Model Challenged with Candida albicans and Lipopolysaccharide

Our data suggest that probiotic lactobacilli impair the recognition of PAMPs by macrophages, and alter the production of pro/anti-inflammatory cytokines, thus modulating inflammation.

Bacillus Probiotics: Spore Germination in the Gastrointestinal Tract

Using this method we have administered doses of ftsH-lacZ spores to groups of mice and shown that spores can germinate in significant numbers in the jejunum and ileum. The levels of detection we obtained suggest that spores may colonize the small intestine, albeit briefly.

Importance of the gastrointestinal life cycle of Bacillus for probiotic functionality

Furthermore, we review how the life cycle may influence probiotic functions of Bacillus and their benefits for human and animal health.

Probiotics for antibiotic-associated diarrhea: Do we have a verdict?

Since a consensus dictating its use is still lacking, it would be advisable at this point to suggest prophylactic use of probiotics to certain patients at risk for antibiotic-associated diarrhea or to those who suffered previous episodes.

You may already know this, but I'll add it for other readers.

Lipopolysaccharides are toxins that are created by gram-negative bacteria (et al). Another name for LPS is endotoxin. They are a metabolic product of gram-negative bacteria as well as a product of cell death.

In a systemic infection, live gram-negative bacteria will produce a steady stream of endotoxins, used in cellular signalling. This spreads throughout the body and creates general inflammation, which is what we're suffering from. And that doesn't even include the candida and gram-positive toxins.

Once the gram-negative bacteria dies, you get a flood of endotoxins and other detritus. It's this flood during the die-off that gives you the Herxheimer (die-off) reaction.

================

Somewhere up there I think I said Clostridia is gram-negative, but I misspoke. Clostridia is gram-positive, but also a potent toxin producer.

There is a good book on this topic: The Candida Cure by Ann Boroch. I highly recommend her program.

u/tawatson2 · 2 pointsr/Candida

Fun fact: I no longer refer to it as a Candida overgrowth, but “dysbiosis,” as there are many strains of bacteria that are out of balance.

I personally benefited from a liver detox supplement for the bile/mucous in my stools, eating plenty of fibrous vegetables, and drinking ~3 liters of water every day (I weigh 160lbs).

I poop multiple times a day—each stool is solid and slides out with ease. Plus, when I wipe my booty hole, there is no residue left on the toilet paper.

Your bum will thank you.

I found the book "The Candida Cure" by Anne Boroch to be extremely useful.

> look for an S Boulardii specific probiotic

Could you get this from Amazon and still have it work? I'm talking about the Jarrow brand you mention, this one. Does it have to remain cold like (seemingly) most probiotics or does this work at room temp?

u/ErrorAcquired · 1 pointr/Candida

I would love to help if any way possible. Sounds like you have the food intake down pat. I did read your entire story. The teen medication started the trend of bad bacterial over good, or the good being killed by antibiotic allowing the bad to overflow. and then other antibacterials hurt your gut bacterial even more later on.

Ill share my story, from 20-30 I drank alchol every night, probably like 10 shots. I also didnt eat well, a lot of processed and fast foods. I drank a lot of energy drinks and downed bags of candy at night. Entire bags of sour patch kids (while going through a oxy opiate controlled habit) this lead to the build up of pain in my stomach and restricted morning pee'ing, and the typical loss of energy... eventually leading me here to learn about Candida (never knew about it) Pain developed around my belly button area, above i

Im going to list my top products that I purchased and have been using within the last 3 weeks that have made me feel better each day forward since taking them (not sure if only one is working better than the rest or all them working together). I moderate the dosing since all at once, so I make sure not to go overboard with all these together. After the first 2 days I experienced die off in the form of stomach rumbling and discomfort and a day of lack of energy. Luckily for me this lasted only about 2 - 4 days.

These products use Herbs and all natural food ingredients (this is very important) no chemicals. I think what you need is a little extra push from these herbs rather than just relying on your body to take care of the candida (which I commend your diet effort!)

This is one of the two probiotics I ordered, this one has that strain and it seems to be one of the highest rated probiotics on Amazon.

Do not take any of those "Candida cure" supplements. I had to learn the hard way, and it screwed up my gut for a year.

You should read the book, [Medical Medium](Medical Medium: Secrets Behind Chronic and Mystery Illness and How to Finally Heal https://www.amazon.com/dp/1401948294/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_cCcyyb0DS60M3) , which has a chapter on Candida. I started eating the things he List and juices and in three weeks I felt huge progress.
