Woot! I can confirm another alternative! I used the tabmate on PC and really loved it. I have since moved to iOS, which as we know, means no tabmate. I purchased an 8bit controller and followed the guide. It worked ok. It just had connection problems, and it didn’t feel great in my hand. On a whim, I decided to give another controller a try. I purchased an iOS vr controller, and I’m happy/surprised to say it works great! The setup is basically the same the 8bit controller guide as far as how to set up the hot keys. But, it feels way better in your hand (it’s made specifically to be used in one hand), and it connects with zero problems. I’m super happy with it. I got it on Amazon. Super happy to be able to report this to people that miss their tabmate. :)

Sorry to necro this, but it's an area I spent a lot of time researching. The advanced features of tabmate seem to only work in csp for now, which might be a deal breaker for some.
In regards to using gamepads, I currently do this with the device below. It's a cheap BT Chinese gampad. The unique aspect of it is that its designed to be held in one hand and has a whole for your finger, which makes it very comfortable in my opinion.
Many have already mentioned joytokey. I humbly recommend antimicro. It's free and open source, and has some advanced features like the ability to shift between levels to provide many more key options.

So first up, in case you didn’t know of them, the iPad version of CSP supports slide out hot key controllers on the left and right sides, as either hovering slide outs or fully docked. You can set any of the custom buttons to a short cut in the short cut settings:
https://imgur.com/a/RhXuq2u/
That’s all software-side though. I know iOS 13 added some hardware controller support for XBox and PS controllers, but I don’t have any for testing to be able to confirm if they can work for CSP.
On the plain Bluetooth controller side, I’ve seen the 8bitdo controller recommended in the past and bought one to see how well it would work, as it emulates classic keyboard presses for its iOS mode:
https://www.amazon.com/Bluetooth-Wireless-Gamepad-Controller-Android/dp/B01CJKHXYE/ref=sr_1_3?keywords=8bitdo+iOS&qid=1571180130&sr=8-3
For getting that working, /u/heysawbones made a fantastic guide on the setup details:

In use I did have success with it as long as I actively used the controller. For example when working on an animation, jumping back and forth frames, I found it to work very well.
In day to day practice however, I ran into issues with the auto sleep where if you don’t press a button within a certain amount of time, it goes to sleep and disconnects.
Since you have to do a special key press to put it in iOS mode when you turn it back on, it did make it a bit irritating. I may just not have had good shortcuts assigned to it though, or I’d just be too lazy to get it paired up again. (It does have a habit of losing the pairing sometimes)
One fun thing to note, if you find yourself wanting a certain set of shortcuts while animating or doing one style of thing, and another for a different thing, the shortcuts are workspace bound, so I was able to make a drawing workspace and animating workspace, allowing re-assignment of the buttons (since the buttons themselves are hard coded to specific letters when pressed).
I still carry it in my bag and if I plan on animating anything again, I will definitely break it back out.
Yeah, I was looking at something like this or this (mods, let me know if links aren't allowed, I'll remove). Something comfortable for one hand while I draw with the other. I just don't know if I'd be able to set up the buttons as shortcuts in Clip like a regular keyboard.
I know this isn’t a screen/software solution, but if you use CSP t all one of these tabmates are pretty awesome:

I'm sure MS has some feature in the OS to try and detect when the user resting their hand and not trying to do real multitouch, its possible it got turned off somehow I guess but more likely it just sometimes can tell and sometimes can't and you got lucky so far.
When drawing on touch-screen displays most artists use these style gloves that prevent accidental touching, but still leaves your fingers for gestures open.
Thanks! Can you let me know what the pen is actually called or tell me the Amazon link? I don't see buttons on the one featured in Amazon, so I'm not sure if it's the same pen.

> Where do you live? Can't you just buy them online? The prices you're listing are more than twice as much as they go for online. Not to mention Wacom products are the industry standard but they're also pretty much the most expensive by far.
Brazil. I can buy it online but the import fees are insane:
https://www.amazon.com/Wacom-Cintiq-Interactive-Display-DTK1300/dp/B00BSOSCNE/ref=sr_1_3?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1510319497&sr=1-3&keywords=Cintiq
> Price: $799.93 + $822.53 Shipping & Import Fees Deposit to Brazil
iPad Pro would not only be much cheaper but also has international warranty so even if my product was bought in US I could still get Apple in Brazil to fix/replace it. If I bought a Cintiq on amazon I would have to send it to Wacom in US and pay import fees again when they send it back.
> Also, why bother trying to sell the Clip Studio license? That would fetch you like less than $20, if anyone was willing to buy a serial number they have no way of stopping you from using again after sell in the first place.
It's an Clip Studio Ex license which goes for $80~$90 on sale, but yeah that makes sense.
No way that I know of. You'll just have to grab some calipers, then measure the distance on your monitor. I use a pair of medical calipers all the time for issues as you mention. I bought mine at a nearby college, but this is the exact one I use, on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/Prestige-Medical-46-German-Caliper/dp/B00062N428/ref=sr_1_4?keywords=medical+caliper&qid=1571867872&sr=8-4
Or you can use scrap paper and mark the measurements. Don't scratch your screen if you go the caliper route, of course. Those tips are very sharp.
