I picked up a Game Handle Grip for my Samsung Galaxy S8+ today (would work with Apple too) and it feels so much better! It's much more comfortable, my hands and thumbs feel like they're in a more natural position and not straining. I can also see more screen now, which is great. I can tell it's going to help a lot.

This is the one I went with...

I find that with the Special Attack Button being in a fixed position, while phone aspect ratios and hand sizes differ, that there is more or less hand strain to play for different people/devices. I personally noticed a big difference when I moved to my new Samsung S8+ from a S7 Edge last summer. I also use to miss my Specials quite a bit because the hit area for that button wasn't in the spot that felt natural for my thumb. However, this Grip has definitely changed that!

Part of the problem too is that we were never meant to do this. Holding a phone and playing MCoC for hours/days/weeks... is completely unnatural and will take it's toll on everyone eventually. Especially since Kabam seems determined to keep us playing as much as possible :(

Kabam could help this by creating a setting that allows users to manually position the Special Attack Button where is comfortable for them, which would be saved on the device so that it could be device specific.

I do agree that joining a retirement alliance and playing less is very good idea.

All the best!

Hi, I'm the OP. I'm also a professional editor who literally has to be varying degrees of pedantic for a living.

And I'm here to tell you that language evolves, English isn't math (i.e., you can't determine the meaning of a sentence by considering each fragment in isolation and then adding all the pieces together), and you need to stop being overly literal in an attempt to impress people with how smart you are, because all it demonstrates is that you don't actually understand linguistics at all.

If you're a genuinely intellectually curious autodidact instead of an armchair grammarian who just likes throwing obnoxiously outdated prescriptivism around, I would recommend spending some quality time with a copy of American English: Dialects and Variation by Walt Wolfram and Natalie Schilling. It's one of the textbooks from the first linguistics course I took in college—the one that completely shattered and rebuilt my world.
