Like others said, you're going to need square 1 algorithms, and 2x2 algorithms. The links I just supplied you with are considered the best of their type (best square-1, best 2x2) and I recommend both of them.
Also, you're probably going to look in to getting some lube. There's heaps of info on lube everywhere, and it's all pretty good. Check out Traxxas differential oil, and Lubix.
Some puzzles you may consider getting, too:
-Moyu Aosu 4x4
-SS 5x5
-SS Pyraminx
-Dayan Megaminx
-Rubik's Magic (no longer a WCA event, because it's the same sequence of moves. Still pretty fun to mess around with, and make shapes out of)
-If you're looking for something really different, check out some cubiods like this. Ignore the bad review, it's great. Also really good to get someone into shapeshifting cuboids.

It was This one, and it wasn't too bad. I was pretty confused at first, but it didn't take too long to figure it out. Realizing I could use center rotation algs to fix my edges was pretty helpful.

Thunderclap its a slowish cube that can be sped up once your faster
Tanglong high quality cube and good for a speedcuber but still slow enough for a beginner
Guanpo Cheap beginners 2x2, it has a clicking sound/feel that i really like
Maru Lube Just speeds up your cube and makes it a bit smoother, Not sure if this is a trusted seller but i dont think they can knockoff maru lube :)
How about a Shengshou Aurora? They turn smoothly, but not too fast out of the box. Comfortable, quiet, good quality, and cheap.

There are large cubes out there, but I don't imagine that they turn well.
Or you could Tony Fisher your own cube.
Or you could get a decent quality 6x6x6, a tube of super glue, and some sticker material, and bandage the 6x6x6 back to a 3x3x3.

I want to buy a GTS2M, and have a gift card to amazon. The one I found on amazon is sold by D-FantiX, and $4 cheaper than thecubicle. Do you think that these are the same cubes, I do not want to get the first GTSM because I heard that the magnets fall out a lot.

I bought this one on a gable that it'd be legit. I can say that it indeed it. It's not as pretty as Oskar's but the benifit is that this looks like a normal cube. I keep change in it on my desk at work. Glad to answer any questions or even take pictures or video tomarrow. I might have some pics of it, if I do I'll update this comment.

Look for 100% silicone based spray, it should be fine.
Alternatively, hobby stores carry silicone shock oil for RC cars or airsoft guns in various weights. Something between 20-30wt works great on cubes; this is the kind I have.

Hi! Im on a quest for a black/stickerless old plastic dayan 2x2. I've been looking for a while now, and I could only find the white one. The only other thing i could find is this but one person says it is original plastic and the other says it isn't. Are there any other places I could get one? (I do not like white puzzles and I have a $25 budget)
Get a cable like this and connect it to the microphone jack.
This 356s v2 advanced was the only one that I found from that retailer and it is not available with Prime. There is a Lite edition that is available with Prime from that retailer.
Overall, Aircee seems like a reliable retailer but watch out because some of their products do not qualify for Prime and will take forever to ship because they are in China. If you can get the cubes you want with Prime, go ahead, but if you can't get them with Prime, it is not worth is and just order from The Cubicle.
Hello there! Just received this D-FantiX Moyu Weilong GTS2 M cube. In the box there some spare magnets? but didn't get the instructions manual. It appears to me there's no tension at all, do you think I am supposed to install them myself and if so can somebody point me to the instructions? I wrote the seller but didn't get any answer yet. Thanks for any idea on how to solve this
