Ultimate Comics: Spider-Man
http://marvel.com/comics/series/13831/ultimate_comics_spider-man_2011_-_present

It's a good place to start with Miles Morales as he's a very well-developed young lad who actually feels guilty for Peter Parker's death in the ultimate universe's continuity after receiving powers much like Peter's and yet not utilizing them. He then dons the original Spidey suit out of naivety not knowing that people at large considered him a mockery of the original Spiderman, as a common theme for Miles Morales is finding himself after taking on the mantle of Spiderman. It actually does address detractor's concerns that this would just be another "black-washed superhero" and goes in-depth into his familial relations with family members already related to the superhero continuity in same way.

That's all I can say without spoiling too much as there are really good plot developments with his family that contrast greatly with the original Peter Parker's origin story.

Any issue written by Gale Simone is a must read in my opinion. She also writes for the better Deadpool comics imo. There's a sense of wry, sardonic humor in the comics she writes for and it transfers well over into Birds of Prey. I even have a list of the greatest Gale Simone comics ever written if you want to pick and choose from that later on.

The comic itself brings Oracle, Huntress, and Black Canary together to fight the villains known as Savant and Creote (the latter in later issues I believe) whom have blackmail Oracle in order to find out the secret identity of Batman. If you like a comic more so centered around strong character building than overall plot/action (which were decent), this comic is for you. The series however accelerates after this issue quite well. Oracle, being confined to her wheelchair while being the most integral and intelligent of the group, sends out her birds of prey so to speak in the form of Huntress and Black Canary which I found was a really fun dynamic as they often have mixed views on how to handle the situation. Oracle being trained by the Batman with his set of ethics while operating from the sidelines to provide background information the team needs, Huntress who has legitimately murdered mafia members in the past being more violent and hostile towards enemies, and Black Canary who is more impulsive and stubborn to Barbara at first but in time, they become inseparable. Dinah being the legs and physically active extension of Barbara and Barbara being Dinah's voice of wisdom and source of intel with both becoming fast friends.

Spider-Gwen... I would recommend for people who already read the Spiderverse event where multiple Spidermen had to fight off cross-dimensional vampires as it's there that her origins story exists. Like the 1st issue starts off assuming you read that issue so it's going to be heavily confusing for new readers, but the style is nice and Gwen is a more blunt version of Spiderman than Peter. So it's really awesome to see how she handles situations differently.

I'm leaving out Batgirl right now and a lot of comics as I'm currently busy atm. But will make a personal message incase you want more comics to get into as I don't want to go too off tangent from the main topic at hand.

TB, Jesse, and Dodger all talked about this in an old episode of the TGS podcast, and they all pretty much said produce, produce, produce. This is paraphrasing, but it amounted to: Find something unique that you can bring to the table - delivery, humour, editing, content, etc., get a decent microphone if you intend to do voice work, and keep making regular content. It takes months and years to find an audience, but as long as you stick to it, you will build one eventually.

It's also what most top youtubers say. If you're interested you should check out partnersproject! The interviews have a lot of little gems of information, and they talk with people like CorridorDigital and Freddiew.

Hope this helped!

Well, mouse and keyboard worked pretty nice for me, the game controls are extremely customizable, down to individual axes sensitivity and deadzone options. You can essentially tailor them to your exact preference, have in mind that it will take some time to do it though, mainly due to the fact that there are a lot of different controls (and options for them).

The main reason for using a HOTAS setup is actually not competitive play but... simply immersion. You look down and see the pilot in game have his hands on the throttle and stick like you do, and each and every movement that you do is directly translated to his animated hands. Its actually pretty convincing, especially if you use a rift.

Lastly, if you really want ( not need, want^andyouwill ) to get a HOTAS setup in the future, you don't have to pay 100 bucks for it really. You can get something like this (which has a cable to detach the two parts btw) for less than 50$, and you will be able to use it in many, many games (if you are into flying sims, that is). And even if you still want the feeling but don't want to spend the half-smacker, you can get a very decent joystick for less than 30$.

Hope that helps, cheers..C:

For fantasy novels The Gotrek and Felix books are great fun and through out the series you'll learn a great deal about the world and the various races and factions. Therese also the time of legend specifically the ones about Sigmar and Nagash that are great and give you a lot of backstory to arguably the 2 most important characters. Both the sigmar and nagash books where recently reprinted in new omnibus collections. [Nagash omnibus] (https://www.amazon.com/Rise-Nagash-Warhammer-Chronicles/dp/1784966185/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1510851276&sr=8-1&keywords=rise+of+nagash)

In the recent VLOG, TB said that he had a lot of problems with swallowing pills. My girlfriend has the same problem so I looked this stuff for her a while ago.

There are two solutions that I found:

  1. Oralflo Pill Swallowing Cup - Which you can get at Amazon for a pretty cheap price, which should help a lot. Link: http://www.amazon.com/OralFlo-RC-02-Oralflo-Pill-Swallowing/dp/B000NJJ3C4

  2. There's a site called 'Headstart', which is basically the Israeli Kickstarter, and some pharmacist is now trying to fund a device for swallowing pills as well (I just want to point out that I have NO relations to the guy, I just found out his project recently by chance). The device is already ready and can be bought from him for a very cheap price. It's in Hebrew, but I can help with that if needed. Link: http://www.headstart.co.il/project.aspx?id=10099

I'm not sure any of this is helpful, but maybe TB for some reason didn't search for this and it might help him.

    Feel better TB!

Yeah. Another thing people don't understand is Hitler basically blundered his way into victory after victory. For example, his invasion of Poland made his commanders realize how woefully unprepared his army was. Hitler, however, decided that he was ready to invade France. THE ONLY THINGS that allowed this to work was that the French did not expect it and that they gave up too easily.

Things like that are honestly why I enjoyed reading that book I mentioned earlier.

Decently long strategic style games. Arkham horror and small world were by far our favorite. Although we have a lot of time to some game with tiles that played a bit like D&D. I think it was called descent. Yep that's it.

Highly recommend anybody who is interested in the character after playing this to read the ongoing series. Its written by comedian Brian Posehn alongside Gerry Duggan, who used to write for G4's Attack of the Show. The first story arc involves Deadpool fighting former US Presidents.

If you read this TB, I have a solution for your handheld pc problem, it may not be great but its the closest I could find, get a windows surface, or any other windows tablet, and one of these bluetooth controllers https://www.amazon.com/BEBONCOOL-Bluetooth-Controller-Android-Emulator/dp/B01CSEB1HQ/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1494570724&sr=8-1&keywords=telescopic+controller
It may be a little 'makeshift' of a solution, but its a controller you can slap on any tablet or phone with bluetooth

u/Zeful · 3 pointsr/Cynicalbrit

Actually no, it has to do with how the input works. This controller is likely the type most of japan has which use direct input rather than X-input, so it can only assign numbers to the buttons rather than a simple face designation.

I actually played a lot the translated version of Cave Story with those kinds of controllers.

Jesse: Some headset idk

u/yesat · -3 pointsr/Cynicalbrit

What about 1100€ for a Monitor ?

The Rift being 750€ with two games (let's say 60€ for the bundle) and an Xbox Controller (50€) with shipping (50€ is high, but it's probably not in a small light box) makes it 490€ for the Rift alone.

You might want to read those books to understand why overly contrasting bits can not be likable to most people. I'm not being subjective here. Also stop with the "triggering" nobody is offended by the gif, people are only irritated or annoyed. Calling somebody a tumblerfag like TB did does not invalid their point.
