I've done 50 mg a few times and the trips lasted roughly seven or eight minutes. it's noticeably longer, I can definitely tell the trip is much longer on that dose. I'm just guessing here oh, I do think you absolutely need to measure the stuff out, you certainly don't want to waste anything. It's definitely worth the investment.

I'm personally still unclear what a breakthrough is. I've had moments where I briefly forgot about my family, my possessions... That only lasted maybe 15 or so seconds, almost as if I had to use all my brain power to recall. If you have any information on that, I would love to know.

A couple things:

If you use a torch lighter you don't have to worry too much about the flame touching the ceramic filter. The issue comes with using standard lighters which create soot. If soot builds up on the filter it can become clogged. Torch lighters burn much cleaner and therefore aren't really an issue.

Regarding the screens. Sometimes, even when using a large number of screens, the DMT can drip through them and end up being wasted. A common practice is to use some Chore Boy [Walgreens carries it] and use that as a bed [place it on top of your screen(s)]. Be sure to soak it in isopropyl alcohol prior to use [to clean any impurities]. Dry thoroughly, cut off a small portion, roll it into a ball, and then flatten. This wad of copper wool "catches" the DMT as it's heated so that it has nowhere to go, ensuring you receive the full dose. The second, and probably "cleaner"/less of a hassle option is to purchase a ceramic flavor disk. Both serve the same function: to prevent the DMT from dripping to the bottom of the pipe.

Regarding a sitter, since this is your first time it wouldn't hurt. But you'll soon find that it's not necessary. More important, I think, is set and setting. Be in a good headspace and find a place free from distraction where you can sit back and relax after blast off.

Lastly, I'd suggest investing in a scale that measures 0.001 gram increments. The Gemini-20 is inexpensive and reliable. Start with a dose between 15-25mgs. You can clear the pipe in one long slow toke.

No they always knew it was in other bodily fluids. The big question was always is it made in the pineal gland? and then if so does it create near death experiences, dreams, schizophrenia etc.

I never really understood why it mattered if it was made in the pineal. I figured It could always just be made other places and then used by the pineal.

You'll get it next time. As others have said, a "crack" pipe where you heat underneath the glass is the most inexpensive method... Though for an even easier time, invest in a wax vape pen, such as the yocan evolve plus, and using the ceramic donut insert.

It would also be wise to invest in a quality mg scale so you can accurately measure the doses accurately, that is going to be another important aspect to dialing in your breakthrough.

My advice is to invest in a good IR thermometer. ETEKCITY branded ones are affordable and they do the job really well. You can get one that reads up to 380℃ for $16 from Amazon.

I personally don't know the correct temperature for dabbing DMT as I only use full convection vaporisation, but having the IR thermometer will allow you to learn the best temperature and apply it consistently to get the same result every time.

lol dude, the Mulamadhyamakakarika was written in the 2nd century in Sanskrit. The translation I am reading (arguably the most user friendly version) is tough as shit to digest. Each verse has a translation, and then that translation has a translation, and then THAT has the final "in other words" summary written by the authors of the physical book.

Did not dilute the lye. Added it just like the tek says (sort of, I wasn't using 1kg of bark).

I think you're confused about the precipitation part. After you add the lye, you shake and let it set for a minute (the jar will get really hot because of the exothermal reaction, so I unscrew the lid a bit to release any pressure during this phase). While the "soup" is still warm, you add the naptha. Shake for about 20 seconds every couple of minutes.

You should start to see your mix seperate into 3 layers. Bottom layer will be base and plant matter, middle layer should be thin and is only emulsion, the tope layer will be naptha with your DMT suspended in it.

The precipitation part happens once you extract the naptha (top layer) and cool it down to allow the DMT to crystallize.

The step you're thinking about (cooling off in the fridge) happens after the acid boil, and before you add any lye.

You haven't mentioned your dosage at all, and in your response to /u/Swimsdoseydoses you refer to an amount "the size of a pinhead" as though that's an accurate description of a dose.

Forgive me for assuming the worst, but you yourself admitted to smoking it off tinfoil, so I have to ask if you are weighing your dose at all? It could be that you're taking obscene amounts of dmt, which won't end well. If you don't already own a milligram accurate scale, I'd recommend the Gemini scale from Amazon. If you're apprehensive, start with a dose of 10-15mg. You'll get visuals broadly in line with the comedown/afterglow of an "average" lsd trip :)

hey man eyeballing is reaaaaally bad. you probably smoked 15-20mg. 30mg is a suprisingly heft amount of powder. when i first started experimenting with spice i was eyeballing and when i finally got a scale that could measure .000 , turns out i was only smoking 15mg when i thought i was loading up 25, and i was always TERRIFIED to try to eyeball 35mg dose( which is as high as ive been comfortable going), but once i got my scale i was set. so yeah, just a tip from my experience.
